Roast Pork Sandwich (half) with chips and pickles

Great to be back at Sandy's -- first time since before COVID-19. We had the FAMOUS ROAST BEEF (4/5 $9.95) and a HALF SANDWICH AND SOUP ($9.70) of ROAST PORK (4/5) and CORN CHOWDER (4/5). I tried the Sweet & Spicy sauce (on the side) for the pork sandwich. It was nice as a dip, but I don't think I'd like it poured on the sandwich. Oh ... BLOODY MARYs to drink (4/5 $8) were very good. Our server Brittany was great. Food . . . . .  4/5 Service . . .  5/5 Ambiance . 3/5 Drinks . . . . 4/5

I recently went to Sandy Beef and Ale for a late-night snack, and when I say late, I mean for this town. Since the pandemic ended, most restaurants have never returned to their old hours, and they close anywhere between 8 and 10 pm. I'm not too fond of it, but I adapted somewhat. Sandy's is famous for their vast Roast Beef and slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone Pork sandwiches. Sandy's is a sports bar, so they have alcohol, and no matter where you sit, you can see a TV with a game on it and sometimes different games on different TVs. You can sit and eat at the bar or grab a table. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, making it a fun place to be as long as you're in the mood. It can get loud like all sports bars do. I ordered a soft pretzel with a fantastic cheese dip and loaded Tater Tots, which I never had here before, and my friend got Roast beef on a roll with Swiss cheese. Sandy's is one of the only places around that always has Slow Gin, so I ordered an Alabama Slammer to have with my snack, which was delicious and satisfying, and my friend had a Heineken beer. I've been here many times, and I've never left unsatisfied with my meal. They have a carving station behind the bar so that you can watch them make sandwiches. In the warmer months, you can dine outside under a tent, which is a nice touch. Their restrooms are clean. Sandy's is in a small strip mall right off business Rt 1, with ample parking. It's non-smoking, wheelchair accessible, cash or card accepted, and service is good and usually quick, but sometimes it gets packed, and you may have to wait, but it's well worth it. The prices are fair, and your meals usually include pickles and chips. Sandy's is kid-friendly, with a child-size menu just for them. I highly recommend giving this place a try, especially if there is a game you don't want to miss.

I'm giving this the full monty because it's everything a good, local dive should be: 1) Colorful locals (it's Bucks County down to the smallest details) 2) Friendly but not fake friendly service 3) Extra cold, affordable drinks 4) Great appetizers (The Gobbler fries are a favorite) 5) A varied (but not overwhelming) menu that does both the expected and the not so expected great. Sandy's is a local icon and with good reason.

Yessir this is exactly what I was hoping for while in the Philly suburbs. This place is busy, with standing high tops near the door, booths and tables to one side, and a big ovular bar to the other. The beer floweth, the tvs gloweth, and good times for all are waiting to be had. Accompanied by a local, I ordered the classic beef sandwich, the Old Bay fries (servied with queso omg omg), and a pitcher of Yuengling. My goodness, it was all perfect. Nothing fancy, nothing gourmet, just honest and delicious and you know, not healthy. haha I'm so glad places like Sandy's exist and are bustling, serving the local population and keeping it 110% real. Def recommend, would go back.

Are there choices of what type of role you can have?

I'm not 100% sure, but I can tell you in all the years I have had a sandwich there, I never had a complaint about the roll. The sandwiches are always so good!! There are so many different sandwiches and they are all very good. The type of roll they…

Went on yelp, found this place, and was pleasantly surprised. Walking in the sports bar was a little tight and packed but from the dining room in the back you couldn't hear any of the noise. Rylie was our server and she was the absolute perfect server for us. We are goofballs on a good day and a walking circus troupe on others. She laughed with us, gave us drink and appetizer suggestions, helped my indecisive behind pick and entree, and quickly became part of the family. She is the type of server that you come back to a place just to see. We love you RY ; We even got to meet the chef Al, the man responsible for the kick ass brisket tacos that our group is still talking about a week later. Making it our business to stop in for his smoked wings and ribs. Do yourself a favor and stop by this "blink and you'll miss it" roadside place, you and your wallet will be happy that you did!! Dinner for four, drinks, appetizers, and dessert....only $130 (before tip)

The floor in the main dinning room is pulling apart and is duct taped together. The chairs and tables are flimsy and falling apart. I asked for a blood orange margarita as it was the special of the day. It was not drinkable. It was some sort of powder or mix that was so sour and overly sweet. It did not have any tequila in it. I literally took one sip and left it there. The cheesesteak was good on a seeded roll. It was ribeye and it was done well. Hence tge two stars. The bbq platter had brisket, pulled chicken, ribs, corn and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was the best thing on the platter. The pulled chicken was sitting in a bowl of grease. The brisket was big globs of fat. The ribs were okay. They put a tiny line of sauce on each item. The service was rushed and spotty. I had heard good things, so we decided to give it a try. Very disappointed. There are so many good places around this area now, there is no need to go here again.
