The customer service was terrible. They were trying to force me to say that my pain was work-related when it is not. They barely gave me the chance to explain that I simply wanted to be treated as a regular patient. They cannot do that to anyone. It is my right to decide whether my condition is work-related or not, and I clearly stated that it is not. I felt offended and uncomfortable being pressured to declare something that is not true. They say only a few things in life are guaranteed. Death, taxes, bread landing butter side down... but I'd like to add a full waiting room at urgent care on a Monday. Woke up to my not feeling great and a whiny, coughing, puking kid in the other room. So... we came here... The new check-in system may be designed to lighten the load on staff but that's because it makes the patients do all the work. * First you check in at the desk with an introductory form. * Then you scan a QR code. * Next take front & back photos of your insurance card and license * Gotta size them to fit the online portal app. * Now wait for the horrible internet to upload them one at a time. * Then you type in everything you just uploaded via photo?! * Finally get called back up front where you originally started to pay your copay. The waiting room is small, with no set area for isolation of contagion or even coughing. There is a cooler full of water bottles, but it has a large sign saying don't drink water before seeing the Dr. Seems not having the cooler would also have the desired effect? Seems like this place is first come, first served, instead of severity, as a very obviously sick infant, and an actively vomiting teenager were left while they took in a fully ambulatory city employee who dropped something on their foot. 43 minutes til we got in back... 4 minutes for vitals and MA check in... (Very professional and on the ball) 35 more minutes til we got to see a PA. In true turn and burn fashion, she was only here for as long as it takes to use a stethoscope. I went to the local office because I was dehydrated, after waiting 30 minutes, they inform me they don't have any IV fluids at any of their locations. I specifically chose this clinic because they stated they treat dehydration. Not recommended. read more

Stay healthy... urgent care is NOT what it was before the pandemic. I deeemed a possible broken toe as a non- emergency. I came to urgent care. I'm familiar with MD now urgent care. I figured I'd give it a try. Checking in was easy and two of the front desk Ladies were very kind. $50 and three hours later after limping from one room to the next with no assistance or concern, I found that my swollen toe is not broken. I was given my paperwork and sent on my way. I asked for recommendations on what to do for the discomfort in the swelling. Had I not asked, I would not have been told. Dr. Mansour cross his T's and dotted his I's but did not know answers to certain questions. Not his wheelhouse. As he said, he's not a radiologist. All in all the good news is my toe is broken. Thank goodness! However, I am going to do my best to stay healthy because places like this made me feel like a number. ‍ UPDATE- I just got a call informing me that I actually do have a fracture. I waited over two hours, had to leave to pick up my kids, but I was told when I came back, I would be placed at the top of the list since I was next. When I came back, though, even though there was only one person in the lobby, we both waited 2 1/2 hours to be seen. Basically five hours of my day was wasted their only for them to send my prescription to the pharmacy that had already closed. The staff is very unprofessional, and not helpful! I had to receive a PPD test (which requires 2 visits) for pre-employment. Customer service was off the charts at this location, and I even stated that to Tia upon my departure. Went to see dr for sinus pressure pain, fever. The person that saw me touched my face didn't examine me with scope device and said it was allergies. I know allergies and what I am feeling is not due to allergies. I asked for a second opinion since the person that saw me didn't do a full examination, didn't check ears or inside nose. Nothing, literally pressed on area next to my nose and that was all. The other gentleman outside I head him say this is how you get around patients like that. No other person came to see me or examine me. I asked to see doctor and the ride office assistants said he wasn't coming out. When I searched for the license qualifications of the man that saw me, I found that he is a registered nurse. Not working under a licensed doctor since a doctor didn't come out and see when after I ask, it's safe to assume there is no licensed doctor overseeing the nurse. I went to this location on a weekday morning and had a good experience. All of the staff were really friendly and helpful including Doctor Yoo. There was hardly any wait time besides punching my personal info in the tablet for check-in. (that portion took maybe 10 minutes). The care in the patient rooms was almost as fast. Only two recommendations I have are: 1) have a keurig coffee machine in addition to the bottled water as most other locations have that. 2) come down a little on the pricing. mine was not eligible for insurance and was pretty expensive - price would be the main hesitation in coming here. read more

Have been so sick with a cough and fever.. tried my insurance telehelp first.. wasn't getting any better so I thought I would try md now.. She barely came in the room and said I could hear you coughing all in here.. I'm going to give you a steroid... I said, didn't you look at my chart? I'm already on an inhaler.. out the door... came back a minute later and gave me a slight exam... I told her that the cough needs my telehelp gave me are not working and I need something stronger.. I asked for the codeine cough syrup. She said... oh I never prescribe that! Why? It works... I just don't and she sent me on my way with over the counter stuff to pick up.. so I coughed my head off for 3 more days and counting...I have never been this sick.. I've run a fever for 7 days... they have not called to check up on me either... I will never go back there and I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I had a really great experience at this location! The service was thorough and fast. I was checked in quickly and then taken to the back after only a short wait. William was one of the staff members that assisted with my care. I appreciate the time and patience he demonstrated to understand what my ailment was. When it was time to meet with the doctor she knew exactly what I needed and was able to diagnose me quickly because of it. They have great teamwork and communication and I felt that I was really being taken care of. No one likes having to visit the urgent care. Not exactly a place you look forward to having to be at but, sometimes it has to happen. After looking up several reviews and having an ok experience at another urgent care last year we decided to give this a try. When I initially called Nancy picked up and was very friendly. She put my mind at ease immediately and gave us the information we needed promptly for us to make the decision to go there. When we arrived there were a few others waiting. They had everyone nicely spaced out though. We immediately noticed that the space was clean and the office was well looked after (very important when you are needing a place such as this to us). Nancy was actually the one that helped us at the desk and she was so nice. My husband got bit by a dog and it had become infected. The doctor was able to make a proper assessment and gave clear guidance on what needed to happen next as far as care. They did not try to upsell at all and the visit price quoted on the phone ($149 with no insurance) was honored at checkout no issue. He was seen and out of the door in about an hour and a half. Not bad at all! Hopefully we won't be frequent visitors however, this is our top choice if needed. read more

Came in with a foot injury. Nichelle and Sage at the front desk were really nice. The assistant who took me into the back was nice. Took my vitals, then brought me to another room. It was only as she was leaving the second room that the PA yelled out to remind her to tell me they didn't have an x-ray machine at that location and since they were closing in an hour it was too late for me to go to another location. I said that was fine, thinking the PA would at least examine my foot but she didn't even look at it. She came in and asked me where on my foot it hurt, then asked if I wanted an Aircast. When she went back to her desk, she said she would put in with Rayus for an x-ray in case I needed one at a later time. I asked if I would have to pay again for that and she said yes. Then I got annoyed, saying I had just wasted $75 for nothing. Her response? "Yep, you did." She told me since I said I didn't know if I needed an x-ray and she already came in and saw me, it counted as an appointment. After I got home, I got a text from my pharmacy telling me I had a prescription ready to pick up. She didn't even tell me she was prescribing anything and I have no idea what's there for me to pick up. I will call my regular podiatrist tomorrow but I would never ever go back to one of these sham ripoff locations. read more

Went in with a 5-day sore throat. The frontend staff was very professional and efficient. Quickly saw the nurse and then to the doctor. Doctor Benjamin Woo saw me within a minute of me entering the Exam Room. After diagnosing my sore throat he noticed the high blood pressure reading the nurse had measured and written on my chart. Dr. Woo thourgly questioned me about it and finding that my insurance had lapsed so I had run out of my medications but would regain my coverage soon. He was concerned and kind enough to add my missing doses to my prescriptions. I was very pleased with how concerned he was for my health for a condition that I hadn't even presented with. I was helped at the front desk very fast but then they took me back in a room and I waited 2 hours to even see the doctor. Waited for an hour, not there fault. But I told them I wanted xrays on my chest due to chronic pain. I waited, saw the doctor who checked me with a stethoscopes and told me my heart sounded fine, while trying to dismiss me. I told him I was there for an X-ray and he said they didn't have a machine there. Why couldn't the gal at the front desk tell me that? I left and am at another mdnow with a machine and have been waiting over two hours. I am in the waiting room as I write this. I than realize the doctor never took my temp (I asked if it could be Covid related) and never checked heart rate to see if it could be caused by reduced blood flow to the heart. This was my fourth time at the Sunrise location. Check in people were never friendly, but now they are totally unwelcoming. I have no complaints about any of the MA's. They take your vitals, they're always very pleasant, and I've had two procedures done (separate visits), in which the MA did a great job. Doctors here are seriously lacking bedside manor, and are in and out of the exam room so fast, you could get a whip lash! Discharge is basically the same as check in. Not very pleasant, and no one really speaks to you. They forgot to mention, that you will no longer receive discharge instructions when leaving, but instead via email, so you must ask for a print out of your discharge instructions, otherwise, they no longer give you one. BTW, the on line patient portal link does not work, but they were not interested when I brought this to their attention. I wanted to know why medication was prescribed that is typically given for outer ear infection, as there was no explanation in my visit summary. When I phoned the following day (Sunday, 30 June, around 12:30 pm), was told that the doctor who prescribed the medication was not there, no other physician could speak to me, and they would have the office manager phone me ASAP. Never happened! So here is my summary of MD NOW, It is very clean, esthetically pleasing, and state of the art. It has been my go to Urgent Care place, but if I'm honest, not sure if I will continue on with them. The two check in people Saturday, 29 June around 7:00 pm - ish, were very unwelcoming. One passed my insurance info to the other, then she passed it back to first girl, picked up her bag and said:" I'm out if here! See ya". That is not a good thing! Went here last night waited 2 hours and 30 minutes for them to give me something to calm my stomach for only one night. The doctor sucked on top of it she only look at my ears and never checked my stomach to see where the pain comes from. If she is that paranoid to touch patients maybe she should not be a doctor. I went here because I had a throat infection that was not getting better. As I am temporarily without insurance I had to pay $140 to see a doctor. The receptionist was very personable and upbeat and the place looked good so I thought it was worth a try. When you sign in you see everyone's name who is sitting in the waiting room. After a while I get called in by the Clinic Supervisor Nurse I believe? Anyhow she had no bedside manner. She was cold and merely asked me what was wrong and what my height/weight was, then machines took my blood pressure and temperature. Being a first time patient, she didn't even ask me if I have a history of health problems. Then I am put in a waiting room where I believe a Medical Assistant comes in and tells me the doctor recommends that I take 2 lab screenings one for the flu and another for strep and that they are both $30. The doctor NEVER came in. The results were both negative. She then comes back with a post-it saying this is what he recommends you get over the counter. I asked her why the doctor hadn't seen me she said he was the only one in the clinic that night. So when I went to pay I told the person checking me out. She then asks me if I want to see a doctor. I mean that's what I paid $140 for! Not to see a nurse and have a medical assistant run two labs and come back with a post-it. When I finally see the doctor he proceeds to check me and asks me if I have asthma, I tell him yes, then he asks me why I didn't tell anyone. Really? He then goes outside and I can hear personal information about me and my health being blurted out LOUD. There were only 4 patients in during this time so I felt very humiliated. I mean I heard other patient's information being discussed loudly but it didn't really hit me until they started doing it to me, I also still felt like he rushed through my "check up" as he did not check my ears and such. I came in around 5pm and left almost at 9pm. Four hours later my bill was $200.00. They do this to someone who is educated and has been through many clinics and hospitals both in Florida and New York City. I cannot imagine what they get away with with people who don't speak up because they can't or unfortunately just don't know better.
