Clean environment, welcoming service, and most importantly great coffee. Ordered a half decaf cappuccino for 4.25, where as at other coffee shops I go to in the bay are at 6 dollars and charge extra for a decaf shot! This place has great tasting coffee, a unique twist in their steamed milk, and great price. 10/10

This is one of my favorite neighborhood places. The staff is friendly, the sandwiches are delicious, and cups of coffee are generous and good.

This might just be my new favorite cafe. They have great coffee and food options for fair prices, they offer authentic Mexican pastries and breads from local Mexican bakeries, and they have free WiFi for customers without any network restrictions/blockers like other cafes that make it impossible to work. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend!!!

Excellent turkey sandwich. Like this kind of small neighborhood type of cafe. Plenty of electrical receptacles for the laptop.

Turkey morning sandwich with pepper jack, two eggs, and pesto on sourdough bread.

I got the morning sandwich with turkey pepper jack with 2 eggs and pesto on sourdough. Hands down the best sandwich I've had!

    Regular Avocado Toast without egg.

Nice little cafe for a quick stop. Nice light menu for breakfast. The staff inside were pleasant and helpful. It is a bit hard to find as it is tucked in between other shops or stores but they do have a small sign outside pointing the way. Think coffees, avocado toasts, bagels and small breakfast burritos.

Such a calming little cafe! Stopped in for a morning, coffee and it did not disappoint! Smooth, and not too sweet. Also, it was the best temp for sipping and it stayed warm the entire time. Now the bagel sandwich... was not as poppin as I would have liked. Not bad, just not something I would rush to get again.

We came here from Yelp. It seemed like the place to be. It was OK. Nothing special. Maybe I should have read deeper into the reviews as to what they offered. The menu is limited for sure. They only serve turkey or ham, no other breakfast meats. That was a disappointment for us all. Just a heads up-- the menu doesn't necessarily describe the up charges for other breads, but there is one even though it says choose a bread. The best part? The food came out really quick. We were in and out. Thank you for that! They outsource all bakery goods and bagels from another bakery. The avocado toast left a bit to be desired. The bread tasted a bit like bananas and we weren't sure why. The cheese on the avocado toast was taking over the minimal avocado on the bread.

This is the best coffee shop in Berkeley. It's the only place you can get Bulletproof Coffee (with butter and MCT). It's legit.

They have plenty of seating, and one of the biggest advantages is their excellent Wi-Fi speed, which makes it a reliable spot for remote work or studying. The atmosphere is enjoyable as well. There's usually music playing or a sports game on the TV, creating a comfortable, laid-back environment without being distracting. Their food selection is also better than you'd expect from a coffee shop. In addition to coffee and pastries, they offer cakes, breakfast items, and a variety of other snacks and treats, so there's always something to pair with your drink. Their hours are convenient, making it easy to stop by throughout the day. The only area where I think there's room for improvement is cleanliness. I've noticed on several occasions that when I arrive shortly after opening--sometimes within 30 minutes to an hour--there are still crumbs on the chairs, tables, and floor, even when there haven't been many customers yet. First impressions matter, and the café should be fully cleaned and ready for guests before the doors open. Customers shouldn't have to wipe down their own tables before sitting. Overall, I really enjoy coming here and would absolutely recommend it for the atmosphere, Wi-Fi, seating, and food options. With a little more attention to cleanliness before opening each day, it would be an even better experience.

Baristas explained that they are up for trying different and sometimes unusual combinations for their customers. I wasn't adventurous this time, but it made me want to explore in the future. I came here to work, hoping for a relatively warm and cozy spot that wasn't too sleepy. I was not disappointed. The wifi was good, music was fun and unobtrusive. Decorations and layout gave a friendly, welcoming environment. Not only were the benches and padded chairs comfy, the ambiance was kept even in the bathroom. Spacious, warm lighting, cute bathroom with a great mirror and cool sink. I don't ever ding places for hospital-looking bathrooms (you know, fluorescent lights, questionable floors, sand paper toilet paper...) but this was one of the few where I was impressed. Love Artis Coffee!…read more My wife and I haven't been on Fourth Street Berkeley in a long long time! Thankfully while doing some shopping and after a great meal at Divan Restaurant a few block away we popped into Artis Coffee. Wow! It was after 4 pm but what the hell, I ordered a cappuccino and my wife order a defca cappuccino, several pastries and took in the HUGE space! Our cashier was very friendly and appreciated our humor and debate on whether to have a "decaffeinated" cappuccino or not. I convince my wife to order one and she loved loved loved it! My "hi test" cappuccino was spectacular, smooth and perfect! Honestly, It took me back to Roma where we had aour honeymoon 22 years ago! Bella! If you find yourself on Berkeley's Fourth Street and looking for a perfect roasted coffee make sure to hop into Artis Coffee and I know you will love it too!

Artis Coffee was okay…read more I had an Ube Latte, 12 oz, iced, with matcha and oat milk ($8.50 plus $2 tip) and it was good. Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.
