Great place by the water to grab lunch or dinner!…read more We came for lunch and tried the empanadas. The vegetarian one was our favorite, and had great flavors! The ginger limeade was also very tasty, and we grabbed a bottle of it on our way out to enjoy the rest of the day! They even gave use cups of ice and lids/straws for the road, very helpful. Nice and laid back place, you order at the counter and then they bring out the food. No rush, nice to sit and relax and enjoy the view!

So, I say all this to say - make sure to make a reservation if you'd like to avoid a long wait &/or disappointment with there not being a table available. We were extremely lucky to have gotten a table with a relatively short wait on a busy evening. Likely because it was within the last hour of the restaurant's opening!! Now - on to the best part... the FOOD! The creamy pumpkin soup with an arepa was really delicious!!! Full of flavour, prepared with passion and love and I would definitely go back for more! For our mains, my sister and I decided to both have the seasonal fresh caught fish with Puerto Rican yellow rice - YUMMMM! My only regret is that the fish was not big enough... I would have loved MORE! Overall this was a great dining experience.

We were seated right away with friendly staff . We ordered fruit juice (mango and watermelon) and got them right away. They were excellent and super cold (maybe too much ice and not enough drink). Boxsalad--one of the few salads we saw on a menu in the island. It was outstanding. Fresh greens and perfectly toasted pine nuts and a mango vinaigrette. We don't eat a lot suchi but we thought both the rainbow rolls and Buddha rolls were solid. BBQ platter-ribs were outstanding!!! Mac and cheese was okay, I would not order again. Slaw was good and pulled pork was great. Corn is a hard no. Chicken was okay (best we've had in the island). Pork taco plate was very good. Excellent tacos, and fries were solid We would definitely return!

This place was short staffed big time, ambiance was subdue early evening. Food took forever to arrive. Pretty good parking. 1 bathroom of the 2 was unusable. Nice people working there though. This is a tin metal construction structure in pure 100% rural location with chickens, roosters, iguanas around place. Pictures would not help this place so none provided.

Heeding her advice, and looking for a place the locals go, we decided to give it a try. We most certainly weren't disappointed. The restaurant wasn't anything fancy and you order at the counter. The ladies who work there try their best to communicate in English. It's not a difficult ordering noticed as you point to what you want. The food choices were roasted chicken, amarillo (fried ripe plantains), pork, arroz con habichuelas, and bacalao. We had the chicken, rice with beans, and pork. The food was great and the price was unbeatable. Very large portions, tasty food, and without any frills. Again, as mentioned above, it's a place to grab a quick, tasty, and filling lunch. A place, very popular, and frequented by locals. We gave this place four stars for the convenience, friendly atmosphere and service, good food, generous portions and reasonable prices. Oh, forgot to mention that this place has the one of the cleanest and well maintained bathroom on the island.
