Great location with a fantastic golf‑course view. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the full‑size fridge made meals easy. The patio is on the smaller side but perfectly adequate, and we really appreciated having a gas grill. The wood‑burning fireplace -- with wood provided -- was another highlight. We picked up extra logs at the grocery store since the days were warm but the evenings turned chilly. We visited in mid‑June, and the Going‑to‑the‑Sun Road was still closed, so timing can definitely vary depending on the year. Even so, the scenery was gorgeous and the weather kept things interesting. It even hailed while we were there. The golf‑course view was beautiful, especially the greens -- we never got tired of looking out over them. We also used the pool table in the clubhouse a few times and never had to wait. Overall, a great stay with plenty of comforts and a stunning setting. read more

Stayed recently and after visiting this resort off and on since the 1990's, I don't know that I can express fully express my disappointment! After the attempted closing of the pool for the night...after a brief rainstorm moved through...I and others complained so it was re-opened. The pool is in desperate need of repair/upgrade! A hole in the slate rock stairs to the hot tub that I or anyone could have stepped through! To being told in such an unwelcoming manner as we arrived at the restaurant that they were feeding wedding parties that totaled 35 people so we might be able to order before the restaurant closed... It was a an aggressive message of basically ...you should leave, by the bartender. And finally upon checking out, a condescending message of apology from the manager, Lance. The only plus a very nice, understanding front desk person, Carmina. It was a huge disappointment! I won't be going back! read more

This place was AMAZING! I have no idea why any one said "there's nothing to do" when white fish is 10-15 minutes away and glacier national park is like 20 minutes away. There is plenty to do! The restaurant is great downstairs too! The location is awesome because we were right in the middle, and we were still secluded! It's super easy to find too! We saw tons of deer close to the hotel. Everything was so quiet. The room was beautiful and super clean! We got engaged on this trip and my future MIL called the front desk, and the receptionist helped her put champagne to celebrate! He was so excited to participate and help out! The staff were so friendly and helpful as well. My fiancé and I had an amazing time and we will definitely return! I did NOT have a good experience. I was happy to find something last minute, but it was pricey. I checked in and the front desk was not friendly at all. Barely had any help with my bags when I let them know I have a severely sprained ankle. My condo was also about a 10 minute walk from the main resort, but they gave me a shuttle ride over to building 8 and upstairs! Check out time in the condos is 10am instead of 11am like the regular rooms. I set up a shuttle as there is a free one to the airport. Called to change it yesterday from 5pm to 4:30pm, to give myself a little extra time. Someone rang my doorbell twice at 4:30AM! I barely got any sleep after that. I called at 9:45am telling them about the situation because I was so tired. No apology or anything! She was like we need you to check out immediately. I said I would try to as fast I can can. I got to the front desk and confirmed my shuttle again. The girl finally apologized (a different girl with an accent). The restaurant is not open until 4pm every day and I just found out they have a pro shop grill downstairs. I would have loved this option the first day. I asked for a mimosa and the girl didn't even know what that was or how to make it. Luckily the breakfast burrito was really good and the property is beautiful. My condo was nice and spacious, but literally has the bare minimum. I also forgot to mention there was a bar fight at the Meadow Lake Grille. Cops were called. Not good. Improve the temperature control in the condominium. Only one air conditioner unit in master bed room. The equipments are outdated. No shampoo in the bathroom. Shower control is old and not working at times. The facility is not elderly or disabled person friendly. There is no grab bars in the bathroom. No bth mat inside the tub to prevent slipping and falling. No toaster oven in the kitchen. The furnitures are old and the drawers stuck at times. The restaurant won't open until four pm. Where are your pickle ball court or ping pong table? I was told that you have both available when I booked the resort one year ago. I was charged $15 per room per day for the use of sport facilities. Beautiful resort. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. I had a washer dryer combo in my room! Game changer when traveling! Great views of the golf course and mountains. My only complaint is in regards to the restaurant. Both days of my visit, the restaurant was operating at a reduced capacity due to staffing shortages. With half the tables empty, guests were added to a wait list and encouraged to wait in the lobby for upwards of 30 minutes and beyond. Full menu only available during the weekends. Weekday dinner menu consists of appetizers and burgers. Breakfast is not offered. read more

Stayed here for a week on a recent trip to Montana. The resort was nice and clean, felt safe, etc but the absolute worst was not getting any quality sleep. There was a front porch light permanently on outside the bedroom window AND somehow had the very poor idea to outfit the bedroom window with a white translucent shade...and no curtain. So... light on outside the window all night and as soon as the sun began rising it was even brighter. For this reason alone we would not stay at this resort again. Easy fix so many enquire before booking. Great central location to everything you would want to do in the area! read more

Very nice resort. We enjoyed our stay with lots of amenities. The only negative was that some of the condo's seem to have been built cheap and we could hear everyone upstairs and to the rear walking. Very loud. But we didn't hear them talking so maybe it was just loud neighbors. A big plus for me was the washer dryer available right outside. Clean, comfortable, and homey. We were looking for somewhere close to Glacier and Meadow Lake was our choice. The grounds are beautifully decorated. The facility clean and obviously the golf course is popular. Our second floor view was a major tease, me looking out each day at a course I wouldn't get to play. I was hoping to find a way to squeeze in a round, but an injury sustained on our trip out prevented that. The room was fantastic. Spacious with high ceilings. A balcony view of the course, also looking down at what appeared to be a popular dining spot. We dined downstairs our first nite in and yea, it was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of information available of things to do in area. We walked around the property, there is an activity center where the pool and hot tub are. There is staff there who support all the features of the activity center; billiards, games, activities for kids. Very neat. We walked the streets where nice homes are mixed in with the resort development. The golf course winds its way through and teased me at every turn. I did run into the pro-shop and buy some swag. That was some consolation, but not much. It was easy to get in and out of the property. A couple streets and you are on your way to Columbia Falls and down the road to Glacier in one direction, Whitefish the other way, Kalispell a stones throw away. The resort was affordable and if I am in this area again, I'll be here and armed with golf clubs. read more

*Update: we are 2 days in on our stay. We notified front desk day 1 that our mattress was broken (seriously broken, when you lay down it goes all the way to the box spring), we've now been forced to sleep on a broken bed 2 nights, and no hope in sight in getting it fixed. They did clean our room on day 2, but that's not helping us sleep on a broken mattress. ** Not only is the furniture outdated and the bed terribly unusable (it sinks 3-4 inches in the middle! ) but the room was also disgusting upon check in. We requested a second clean, and the guy that showed up didn't bring any supplies, just had a towel and did a very cursory wipe. I ended up going to buy my own cleaning supplies. Despite being at less than 50% capacity, end of season I asked to be in the newer units closer to the activity center....nope sorry 3. Pool and spa has heated outdoor patio; apres ski spa is fantastic and HUGE 6. On mountain ski lounge is the #1 reason, in my book, to stay here! 7. Central to Columbia Falls and Whitefish downtown so your choices are larger 8. Everyday, on the way in/out look around, there are animals - deer, turkeys, birds everywhere!! 9. The walls and ceiling are super super thin. Neighbors above rude and inconsiderate of the noise transfer. The resort is dated but well maintained. We arrived after 9:00 PM to check in. I was given a resort info and told that we would be charged a $15 resort service fee per day. This was a surprise to me but I made my reservations over a year before and didn't recall this fee in the notes from RCI. When I checked out I questioned why I was charged a resort fee for the day I checked in since I arrived so late. I was told I could bring it up to Will Steck, the General Manager. When I returned home I emailed mister Steck. Twice. Never a response. Very unprofessional behavior from both the manager and staff. read more

Seriously we had an amazing time at the resort!! We rented for 3 nights and 4 days with my family. This place has small kitchenette with dishes and cups and utensils with a toaster oven and microwave. We enjoyed taking advantage of the in room sauna. As well as swim outside in their indoor and outdoor pool. It was clean and everyone was really nice . Tuesday we went to their private lake house. It was super fun and chill . Maryjane worked there and was hospitable. We had an amazing time enjoying the lake front house. It also includes SUP and water toys. read more

Last month we stayed at the Meadow Lake Resort after spending a full day hiking around Glacier National Park. The hotel itself was charming and is part of a much larger vacation rental and condo resort, so it was a fairly large property. The actual accommodations were very nice (lacking in a few modern touches like USB chargers), but there was also plenty to keep you busy outside of the room. The morning views were also very quiet and peaceful. So, overall, I really enjoyed the actual hotel itself. So, the negative aspects included how difficult it was to find the actual hotel on the property and the service once we got there. We ended up pretty deep into the property and finally decided to call the front desk to ask for directions and all we got were some extremely vague "look for the green awnings," which is not all that helpful when it is pitch black outside. We finally found the entrance (it is the first building on the left and, even though it looks like just the restaurant, the hotel is in the same entrance) and checked in. With COVID-19, it was understandable that they didn't offer their regular bellhop service, so we were provided with a luggage cart. There was no way to actually prop open the 2 sets of doors while pushing the cart inside, all the while, the person at the desk ignored us and just kept chatting with another hotel employee. With everyone wearing masks, it didn't really seem like too much to expect that they might be willing to at least hold the door open for us. Another hotel patron eventually had to help us out, which we were thankful for. So, the hotel and property is great, but the service itself seems to be lacking here, so proceed at your own risk. read more

You might think spending two weeks in Montana in January sounds cold and dark. Let Meadow Lake Resort prove you wrong. Meadow lake in centrally located in Columbia Falls close to Whitefish, Kalispell, and West Glacier. It is split into four sub unit types. The Inn, with regular hotel rooms. The condos, which have a full kitchen, fireplace, and 1-3 bedrooms. Nenastako Village, with two or three bedrooms town houses have a fireplace, plus a private hot tub on the deck of the two bedroom units, and Glacier Village homes. All the units have access to the adult fitness club, steam room,sauna, indoor and outdoor pools (the outdoor is only open in the summer) and hot tubs giving you plenty to do on cold days and nights. We stayed in Nenastako Village. The units are two sided town houses with double carports on each side. Each unit has a two bedroom main floor apartment with a full kitchen, fireplace, two bathrooms including a giant master bathroom, and a deck with a private hot tub. The main floor also has a shared laundry room and soap is provided. Upstairs is a one bedroom unit with a kitchenette and master suite. If you are renting a three bedroom unit you get the downstairs and upstairs both. The upstairs one bedroom does not have access to the hot tub since it's a private lock off. All units also have walk out access to the golf course which is beautiful in the winter. The only downside to the town houses is the proximity to the activities. In the cold you need to drive to the pools and fitness center. We stayed two weeks so we were in two units. One was more updated than the other (granite and stone vs. wallpaper and laminate). We were treated beautifully during our stay. The staff was great. When it snowed staff showed up in the morning to shovel decks, walkways, and clear our hot tubs. They changed the water in the hot tubs weekly so they were very clean. The units were equipped with everything we needed to make it like home, and the bathrooms had giant spa tubs. The only weird thing was that both units had carpeted master baths. I always kinda hate that. Thoughts of wet carpet over and over is no bueno and one of the very small reasons this was four stars and not five. The resort has a spa, but we didn't use any services, but we did eat at the restaurant. I'll cover that in another review. I would stay here again in a heartbeat (in January or any other month of the year....summers are otherworldly). Thanks for the great experience!!!! read more

We have stayed at Meadow Lake on many occasions in the condos. This was our first time staying in the Inn. The room was small but adequate. I am not sure the room had been used in a while as there were dead flies all over the window. Was very disappointed that in the Inn we didn't have daily housekeeping. The Inn was also very noisy you could hear peoples conversations all the way up and down the hallways. The mattress and pillows could use to be updated. The restaurant was closed at this stay. The rec center was under construction as they were working on the indoor pool. It sure needed a face lift. The resort is showing it's age and is in need of some updates and repairs. We did golf this time and the course was in good shape for early season. read more

Here we go. 1: this place is in the middle. Of. Nowhere. No service and the WiFi keeps turning off. There nothing to do here and I have no idea why this is even called a "resort" 2: everything is outdated. Couches are stiff and itchy and the bed is hard and lumpy and the pillows are flat and the sheets are insanely cheap and scratchy 3: the service here is terrible. Kept asking for toilet paper and at some point they stopped answering the phone 3: if you believe in covid no one and I mean not one person wears a mask. Wild. 4: there's barely hot water so you can't shower more than five minutes. I couldn't even shave and now I have to fly itchy and prickly. You get 50 gallons of hot water and it takes HOURS to fill again so don't wait in the shower bc it's ice cold and takes about five hours. 5: the blow dryer is insanely small so if you have thick hair get ready for hell and it frizzes your hair it took three hours to dry then flat iron my hair bc if was so out of control. 6: they do not shovel the roads so your car WILL slide all over the place so be ready for a heart attack if you bother to go outside. I HIGHLY recommend staying in Kalispell where there's actual civilization and your not isolated in the stupid out lands. There's no Starbucks there's no real food out here. Everything is weird and stale. I'm from So Cal and I know food and this isn't it. Overall gross experience and I feel gross bc I can't even shower! Also don't stay here with your mother in law the doors are paper thin and you literally are stuck bc there's nothing to do. read more

We arrived at 1 am. The front desk called and woke us up at 8 am to let us know we would be transferred to another room. (This was NOT a request we made). We packed all of our stuff back up, drove to the front desk and found out our new room would be ready "mid afternoon." No exact time could be given, but I was told I would be called when it was ready. I asked for a discount as I was paying for a room and did not have one. No discount or offer was provided. We spent from 10-3 waiting for a call before heading back to ask. A room was ready at that point. No apologies were made, front desk staff was rude and snappy. The only reason for two stars is for the area. It is beautiful, rooms are spacious. Furniture could be updated. read more

Not bad, but maybe not as good as I remember from years ago. The night time check-in/security guy was really nice, but it seems sort of lame to not have a dedicated desk person at night. Our room was nice overall, VERY CLEAN, but there was no table and no chairs of any kind. Bathroom was nice, but I wish they would use a hypo-allergenic detergent for the towels and/or give them an extra rinse. They smelled like laundry soap. The people above us were very loud, and it was not always easy to get hold of a desk agent to address the situation. The big bed was really nice, pillows were great. The TV sucked, there are tons of stations listed, but few come on. Many TV stations say "wait a moment" but it never comes in, and it's missing many of the basics. Also, I could see no way to turn down the brightness on the screen, and it was VERY bright. It was a nice large screen and seems like it probably has an auto-dim setting as many of the newer models do, but alas, it was set to 'tanning salon' as far as I could tell. The whole TV setup is not really well executed. Working the various remotes is like playing a game of the 'Chicken, Fox and Grain Riddle' which isn't really something I was looking to do when I'm trying to wind down in my hotel room. Lots of windows, heat and air worked good. Overall the room is nice. The big issue I had was the pool area. While it was nice they had the outdoor hot-tub open, they did nothing about the teenagers horsing around in their street clothes and shoes. I'm really shocked that they have two people dedicated to making sure you don't take a pool towel out with you (even though you have to walk back to your room across the parking lot) yet neither employee sees fit to make sure people aren't wearing their shoes and street clothes in the pool, or using non-pool toys in the pool. It's not very relaxing. It's not something I would really mind at the Holiday Inn or something, where that sort of behavior is expected, but I was expecting a pristine, relaxing, RESORT experience. What's next, letting toddlers run around and crap all over the golf course? If you get a good deal, it's worth it, but summer prices with these conditions would not be worth the money by a long shot. read more

Disappointing service and attitude. Arrived 2 hrs before check-in and told our room would be avail at 4. Poked around for a couple of hours then came back to the front desk - then told another two hours before room would be available. Front desk says our online booking only earlier in the morning some how placed us in a lower priority room cleaning status.......hmmm.....is our $$$ less good? Front desk offered us a pool pass for 'compensation' which we would have had access to if our room were available on time. Requested to speak to the manager. Told to wait while sitting in lobby right in front of front desk. Waited about 15 mins. Went back up to desk and asked when we could expect the manager. "Oh, I tried to reach him, but he's gone for the day". Hmm, we were sitting right in front of you and this whole time and you didn't think to mention that? Hmmmm, are you guys really shooting straight here? As I put this to pen, still sitting. Poor start and poor attitude to our expensive stay. read more

Our room was supposed to be in the main building this was a good distance away. The room hardly seemed an upgrade. It was in desperate need of refurbishment. Nice but so loud. People above us sounded like they were running or jumping all the time. I can only guess when the neighbor to the side took a shower the pipes made this awful knocking noise and well then there was the train. No mid week freshener of towels or cleaning. Bed was awful but requested a pad which they had. And the WiFi went down for a day in the whole valley which wouldn't of been bad but my husband had to work from our vacation. Also know this out of their control but front desk was like yah so? Could of been a little more like sorry they are working on it. Beautiful spot and nice stuff just not awesome. read more

Firstly, this is not a resort .. time share made into 'resort.' Properties are cute enough, beds comfy n accommodations are comfortable. Other than pool, hot tub, gym n golf course, there is no bike rental, kayak etc .. also no shuttle anywhere .. so if u don't have a car .. ur stuck.. Lodge food is not really great..staff seems tired. .. but it's the only place.. n coffee shop? Cant they really be open 6-6 or even 3? closest place with lake rentals etc is a bit of a drive .. staff could be a bit friendlier n knowledgeable.. seem surprised at questions asked .. great weather .. surprisingly warm for this time of year and this far north .. read more

My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. It's a Trendwest resort so you pay with your credits. Luckily, we have a friend who is a Trendwest employee and she gave us a voucher to stay here. On the grounds you have the resort, golf course and even residences. I don't know much about golf but from what I hear this is supposed to be one of the best courses in Montana. Our back deck was right on the course so it was fun to watch everyone play through. The room itself was very nice. We had a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, and a washer/dryer... everything you need for an extended stay. Everything was clean and the kitchen was stocked. The bedroom was decorated a bit too 80's for my taste but it was comfortable. Other amenities include an indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, work out room, ping pong table and a restaurant/bar. If you go during the winter they also have shuttles to Big Mountain. Being here after long days of hiking and driving around was really relaxing. I would love to stay here again if I make it back to Big Sky country. read more

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warm smiles and helpful information. The room was clean, and decorated in a western style which fit the location, just a short distance from Glacier National Park. The TVs could be updated to flat screen but then I didn't come to this gorgeous location to watch tv. I loved the jacuzzi tub in the room, especially after a day of hiking. Truby's, the onsite restaurant was great, and when we wanted a change of pace they recommended Three Forks, which was a fantastic, though a little more pricey restaurant in town. We did not try the spa but several other people said the services were good. Most people stay for the golf but we chose the location for the surrounding area and parks. If you love golf, then this is perfect spot, and if you want to hiking and tourist spots around the park, it is perfect for that as well. They have an on-site concierge who was very helpful. Don't miss out on the National Bison Range south of this area. read more

I had a very bad experience. I checked-in on 7/8/21 - I booked a room with a king sized bed and pullout sleeper couch. The room they gave me had no pullout, which wasn't an option given I was traveling with my teenage daughter. They found me a larger room (unit 64B), but it took another couple hours given the room was not cleaned. When we pulled out the sleeper I was appalled. The sheets were very dirty with stains and there were dead bugs in the sheets. I can deal with a dated room, but dirty sheets and dead bugs is completely unacceptable. It was too late in the evening to do much, so I removed everything from the mattress, and replaced the sheets. We also had to kill several large black ants throughout our stay. The dead bugs in the bed were different than the black ants. Not sure what was in the bed. I went to the from desk the next day and explained the situation. The front desk clerk responded with "that is unacceptable", but all that was done is a new set of sheets were delivered to the room. Never heard from anyone regarding the issue. I will never stay at this "resort" again. read more

Check-in was quick; we arrived late so there was no one else at the desk so service was speedy. Meadow Lake is close to grocery stores and restaurants. We stopped at a grocery store on the way in to pick up cereal, bananas, milk and beer for the Jacuzzi. The resort was HUGE and because we arrived after dark, we drove around the loop twice before we found the Inn where we checked in. The Glacier Village fitness center was very nice. We visited here twice a day - in the morning to work out and sit in the outdoor hot tub (more like hot pool as it's so huge!) and again in the evenings to sit in the hot pool and the sauna & steam room. We met lots of nice folks, mostly ALL from Canada, in the hot pool. It was so freakin' cold everyone's hair had frozen and we had icicles hanging. They have an adults only policy from 8-11 p.m. which was nice and relaxing. There is a very nice, clean heated locker room to store your clothes, a shower and nice sized towels available. The family recreation center has an indoor heated pool and outdoor hot tub. We went here the last night (after the motor in the large hot tub broke) and the hot tub was much smaller with lots of kids running from the pool and jumping in. Towels are available to check out. There is a locker room available with a shower, but because of the kids, it was very messy, with dirty children's clothes and boots lying all over the floor. I guess the parents weren't supervising their kids this night, because there were multiple kids JUMPING into the hot tub near the adults. My parents would have beaten me with a wooden spoon for this kind of behavior This rec center also offers video rentals. We stayed in a hotel unit at the Inn so I can't comment on the condos, but based on everything we experienced, we'd return to any condo unit without hesitation. read more

I like everything about this place except not having a reception on our phones and had to step outside to make a phone call and front desk receptionists had zero personalities. First key didn't work. Second time it worked but they gave us someone else's room number. Third and fourth time keys didn't work. We're staying at building 14 and it's not a quick drive back and forth each time. Barely apologized and had to call twice to get them to send maintenance to get the battery changed in the door. I waited 15 minutes before calling the second time. I don't think the first person even called maintenance. The maintenance guy came quickly after the second call and was very nice and courteous. He changed the batteries quickly and was super nice. The others need to take lessons from him. read more
