This place was AMAZING! I have no idea why any one said "there's nothing to do" when white fish is 10-15 minutes away and glacier national park is like 20 minutes away. There is plenty to do! The restaurant is great downstairs too! The location is awesome because we were right in the middle, and we were still secluded! It's super easy to find too! We saw tons of deer close to the hotel. Everything was so quiet. The room was beautiful and super clean! We got engaged on this trip and my future MIL called the front desk, and the receptionist helped her put champagne to celebrate! He was so excited to participate and help out! The staff were so friendly and helpful as well. My fiancé and I had an amazing time and we will definitely return! There's also a spa downstairs where we got massages. (:

Very nice resort. We enjoyed our stay with lots of amenities. The only negative was that some of the condo's seem to have been built cheap and we could hear everyone upstairs and to the rear walking. Very loud. But we didn't hear them talking so maybe it was just loud neighbors. A big plus for me was the washer dryer available right outside. Clean, comfortable, and homey. We enjoyed our stay.

This is on the fireplace glass... just ewww

*Update: we are 2 days in on our stay. We notified front desk day 1 that our mattress was broken (seriously broken, when you lay down it goes all the way to the box spring), we've now been forced to sleep on a broken bed 2 nights, and no hope in sight in getting it fixed. They did clean our room on day 2, but that's not helping us sleep on a broken mattress. ** Not only is the furniture outdated and the bed terribly unusable (it sinks 3-4 inches in the middle! ) but the room was also disgusting upon check in. We requested a second clean, and the guy that showed up didn't bring any supplies, just had a towel and did a very cursory wipe. I ended up going to buy my own cleaning supplies. We're completely dissatisfied. The images are only a handful of the images I took. There's a size limit for uploads.

1. The range of rental here is from 80's in need of reno to 100% updated 2. Despite being at less than 50% capacity, end of season I asked to be in the newer units closer to the activity center....nope sorry 3. Activity center and play area in need of an update and organization 4. Need to visit the bar and grill and update my post! 5. Pool and spa has heated outdoor patio; apres ski spa is fantastic and HUGE 6. On mountain ski lounge is the #1 reason, in my book, to stay here! 7. Central to Columbia Falls and Whitefish downtown so your choices are larger 8. Everyday, on the way in/out look around, there are animals - deer, turkeys, birds everywhere!! 9. The walls and ceiling are super super thin. Neighbors above rude and inconsiderate of the noise transfer. We asked them to shhhhj but the response was 'in can't control my 3/5yo kids' ... when is their nap? Paybacks are real.... 10. We are returning since our 10 day trip became a 4 day....covid strikes again

Last month we stayed at the Meadow Lake Resort after spending a full day hiking around Glacier National Park. The hotel itself was charming and is part of a much larger vacation rental and condo resort, so it was a fairly large property. The actual accommodations were very nice (lacking in a few modern touches like USB chargers), but there was also plenty to keep you busy outside of the room. The morning views were also very quiet and peaceful. So, overall, I really enjoyed the actual hotel itself. So, the negative aspects included how difficult it was to find the actual hotel on the property and the service once we got there. We ended up pretty deep into the property and finally decided to call the front desk to ask for directions and all we got were some extremely vague "look for the green awnings," which is not all that helpful when it is pitch black outside. We finally found the entrance (it is the first building on the left and, even though it looks like just the restaurant, the hotel is in the same entrance) and checked in. With COVID-19, it was understandable that they didn't offer their regular bellhop service, so we were provided with a luggage cart. There was no way to actually prop open the 2 sets of doors while pushing the cart inside, all the while, the person at the desk ignored us and just kept chatting with another hotel employee. With everyone wearing masks, it didn't really seem like too much to expect that they might be willing to at least hold the door open for us. Another hotel patron eventually had to help us out, which we were thankful for. So, the hotel and property is great, but the service itself seems to be lacking here, so proceed at your own risk.

The Spa at Meadow Lake Resort is fabulous. We had Swedish massages, facials and a soak in the galvanized copper tub. Heaven on earth! The staff was professional, skilled and calming. One of the best spa days Ive ever had- highly recommend. And the resort setting is so beautiful.!

The main building was empty except for a couple of employees selling tickets. I thought it could definitely use a refresh but we were not there for the lodge. We rode up 2 lifts to reach the top of Whitefish Mountain. There are two peaks you can take lifts up and we went to the higher peak for one if the longer hikes. Both lifts were easy to get on, getting off was a little sketchy as we had to quickly jump off and move several steps forward to avoid being hit by the lift. Thank goodness for the lift operator assisting people off the lift! I'm sure it's much easier to exit when skiing. The ride up was great. Such beautiful views! There is a small bar/restaurant at the top with amazing patio views and a restroom. We hiked down the Danny On Trail From the top. There are plenty of trail Markers so you cannot get lost. We did see a sign warning us of bear activity while hiking but we never actually saw any animal activity, not even a deer. A majority of the trail had beautiful views of Whitefish Lake. The lower part of the hiking trail was covered with dozens of people picking huckleberries so you just had to navigate around those groups. The hike took approximately 3 hours to reach the Alpine Slide area. You could ride the slide down or jump on the ski lift to go down. Whichever you purchased tickets to do. There are is also a separate trail for mountain bikers but we didn't cross those trails until closer to the Alpine slide area. We purchased tickets for the Alpine Slide so we jumped in line which went quickly. There are two slides to choose from. One slide is "fast" and the other is slower and more scenic. We chose the scenic as it was our first time on the slide. You can also choose the speed as you navigate down the slide. The slide drops you right off at the bottom of the resort so you can walk directly to the parking lot. I would definitely recommend the hiking and Alpine slide. It was very scenic and a wonderful experience.

We actually traveled for over 2 months this summer, and this was by far our favorite stop. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we extended our stay for another week. Just beautiful and peaceful and relaxing on the lake with so much to do. And the owners were friendly and gracious. The whole property is so well kept, and the cabin itself had all the amenities you could need. Lots of special, unexpected touches - like ingredients for making s'mores at the nightly campfire. One night, they put up a big screen and played a kid-friendly movie. Also, wifi was great everywhere on the property. Plenty to do nearby - hiking trails, Whitefish, Glacier National Park (of course). We picked huckleberries! Can't wait to go back!

Shayla, our host, texted us ahead of time to make sure we were all set for a smooth check-in. That small gesture alone made us feel genuinely cared for. Each day, Shayla prepared the most delicious homemade baked goods, which made us feel like we were at a home away from home. Since we planned to head to Glacier National Park early each day, she kindly packed to-go breakfasts for us--always thoughtful, fresh, and satisfying. On the mornings we stayed in, she served beautiful homemade breakfasts that were just as delicious. The extra touches throughout the lodge made our stay even more special--the self-serve charcuterie, fresh fruit, and beverages were such a nice bonus. The lodge itself was peaceful and quiet, which we really appreciated. We stayed for five nights and can confidently say this was one of our favorite places we've ever stayed. It's a peaceful lodge tucked away in a corner of the property that has a serene porch that we sat out on each night with views of the mountains. The room cleanliness was impeccable - much cleaner than any chain hotel I've stayed at. The housekeeping staff even left hand written notes for us, and went above and beyond in making sure all of the guests needs were not just met but exceeded when we needed help. You will not meet a more pleasant front desk staff who was genuinely excited to talk to you each day and answer any of your questions! The drive to the entrance of west glacier was maybe 5 minutes - perfect for quick access to the park. 2) We did the fly fishing all day tour which I would highly recommend. I would be amiss without mentioning our guide Chaney by name. He reached out to us ahead of time and was extremely kind and flexible - adapting to any requests I had to make the trip personalized. And he was amazing during the actual guide! He had us laughing, smiling and learning so much throughout the whole day. And he did it all while rowing us down rapids!! His knowledge of the local wildlife was impressive and you can tell he truly cares deeply about what he does. Not to mention the beauty of the river itself - it would have been worth it to go just for the views, and getting to fish while doing it was even better! All in all - exceptional place, I plan to re-book for my next visit in the area.
