The fireplace in my room didn't work, the blinds adjusting rod was completely snapped off, trash from previous individuals was found in the bathroom and bedroom area, and a fan noise could be heard running all night from somewhere (not my room). The heat appeared to not be accurate to the temperature setting and was either "on" or "off" which caused my room to get fairly cold at night. Due to the surrounding location and ease of closeness to downtown I would stay here again, but due to the uncleanliness and run down room I would not recommend this place.

When we tried to cancel, we were told that we could not do so, because of their 10 days cancellation policy for that time period!! HOW IN THE NAME OF HEAVEN do you know 10 days ahead of time that you're going to be sick!!!! This policy is completely extortionate and unreasonable!! No matter how lovely this place appears to be, I will not recommend it to anyone, and will never stay there again!!!

To be warned this place is dated. But it is unpretentious, cheapest place we stayed at, clean (which you would be surprised at is apparently optional in the Rockies), and has the best view we had in the trip. We stayed at four other water front motels. This had the best view. Sunrise and sunset were extraordinary. Chairs provided in front of the room to enjoy the lake. Very elderly and family friendly. Only guests can use this part of the lakefront. If you have have modern this is not the place for you. For everyone airplane.else this is for you. Get first floor unit not second, the view is better.

Months leading up to our Big Day, I was…read morefreaking out about where the Bridal party will be getting ready at since our wedding location was predominantly occupied by the Groomsmen party. A few of our out-of-town guests were staying at Somers Bay Log Cabin and to be honest they location was PERFECT since it was just right down the street from the neighborhood that we were getting married at. I thought they might be booked up already for June but still went in to try my luck early April. That's when I met Tia, their property manager. I explained to her my situation and that I really just needed a temporary spot during the day for my girls and I to get our hair and make up done. She checked her calendar and somehow was able to work her magic and squeezed a cabin just for our bridal party to get ready at. She even gave me a choice of booking for the night before or just that morning of at a discounted rate. I chose latter for the logistical convenience of that morning otherwise I'd love to spend a night at their cozy cabin! I was almost in tears that day when talking to Tia and I told her she had no idea how much weight she has lifted off my shoulder just thinking about this morning of location dilemma. To top it off, she even said it was okay for us to take some of our wedding photos onsite because have you seen how GORGEOUS their property is?! Tia is super sweet and courteous! The owners of the Somers Bay Log Cabin is very lucky to have her! I love that she puts her customers first and this is why we highly recommend Somers Bay Log Cabin if you are planning your Flathead Valley stay! Oh and did I mention that their gorgeous property is just right across from the Flathead Lake? I mean, the lake is literally a few steps away! It doesn't matter if you go during summer or winter, the sceneries are breathtaking regardless! All of our wedding guests who stayed there really enjoyed the cabin life, sipping their coffee in the morning on the front porch while looking over at the lake! Great place to stay across HWY 93 from Flathead Lake. Clean, cozy cabins with beautiful…read morelandscaping. Comfortable beds. We stayed in #10 which is a King (bed) studio. Nice little kitchenette with a small stove, fridge and microwave. There is WiFi but it was not very strong in our cabin. (our friends were in cabin #6 and they had a strong signal) There is tv in the cabin with cable, but we never used it. We were in town attending a wedding at the Rack Shack, so the cabins were a great choice as we did not have to do any driving after the reception. There is also a great walking trail across the highway from the cabins, along Flathead Lake. We walked the mile or so into Somers each day to eat at the Somers Bay Cafe. Just be careful crossing the highway. Only downside of the entire stay was the highway noise, which can be pretty intrusive if you sleep with the windows open. Not sure I would ever stay at the cabins that are closer to the highway. (Cabins 1 and 12) There was also noise one night from a loud party at the Rack Shack, which is the venue next door to the cabins. It went on past midnight and we ended up resorting to ear plugs. It probably would not have been an issue if we had closed the windows. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the beautiful Flathead valley.

The cabins are located in a great area. Full of pine trees, secluded and very well spaced out. They have a very private feel to them. One of our favorite amenities was the fire pit. Every night we lit up a fire and enjoyed it under the Montana chilly night sky. The cabins are very good quality, spacious, clean and offer very comfortable beds. The people working really put in thought and effort into your stay. The cabins are beautiful and the people providing the customer service match them. North Forty Resort has soul! If you are visiting Glacier National Park I highly recommend you book your stay here.

Honestly, this was the nicest place we stayed during our vacation out west, and we would love to come back for a week. The cabin was well-provisioned with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, and TV/DVD (in case it rains?). The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and even romantic. The only drawback for us was that the weather was extremely unseasonably warm, and it took the log cabin a long time to cool down at night (it was in the high 90s and there is no AC). But the ceiling fan did help. Breakfast was delicious. The owner was very friendly and happy to give advice about things to see and do both inside and outside of the park. And the grounds are immaculate. If you want a nice place to stay where you can avoid the noise and crowds, I highly recommend staying here.

If you just want a nice LOOKING place with a few extra amenities near Glacier National Park, this…read morewill fit that bill. Don't get your hopes up too high. We stayed at the deluxe chalet for the second and last time this year. Here we go with the tough lesson that took us a second time to learn. The place LOOKS nice all-around. Your first clue that upkeep is not a priority is the second step on the stairs as you walk to the office to check in. It's split almost in half, making getting up the stairs a little dicey. Further on to the deluxe chalet, past lots of nice landscaping, paint is peeling everywhere, and wooden railings seem ideal for splinters. Inside the deluxe chalet, first impressions are nice. It LOOKS attractive. For the second year, the left sink in the full bath linked a LOT on the floor, making it virtually unusable. Though we shared the second sink, the fact that this wasn't fixed from last year seems to speak to the lack of concern for upkeep. There's daily maid service, but it seems to be a minimum. They make the beds, pick up used towels, and empty trash (usually), but they may rely too heavily on the Roomba. The wood floors never seemed clean, to the point where I noticed after walking around barefoot for a while inside, the water under my feet turned black briefly after I started my shower. If you want to sit and relax after a long day at the park, there's satellite TV, but navigating the menus is a mess (probably more DishTV's fault) and the smart TV features on all TVs were maddening to figure out, and never worked once you DID figure them out (partially Vizio's bad design). The wireless internet was reasonable, but note there are two routers with two different passwords. Because why make things simple? The bedrooms LOOK nice (seeing a trend?) but the beds are hard, and the pillows are only a slight step up from the ones airlines used to offer. If you need neck support, you might want to bring your own. Last, there's the overall struggle to be comfortable with the temperature. There's NO air conditioning, so if the outside temp breaks 80, good luck cooling down before nightfall, especially with poor indoor air circulation, even with a ceiling fan in the living room and one in one of the two bedrooms. The afternoon sun BAKES the sun room, and the rest of the time it matches the outdoor temperature, so it might as well be an open-air room. We finally learned the hard way that the premium cost for the deluxe chalet was not worth it for the not-at-all premium and uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this review can save you money, discomfort, and disappointment.

We didn't need anything during our stay, but I am confident that if we did, they would have made it happen. A very pleasant experience.
