I enjoyed playing the renovated course and believe the golf architect did a great job! This had to be the worst golf course to play in Ft Worth. Ft Worth should be embarassed to own this course. it is nearly impossible to put a peg int he tee box. but that is just to start. our group waited on every shot from the tee box to the green. the group in front of us should not have been playing the white tees and one of the guys was trying to help the other person swing. Their tee shots went about 150 yrds, less than half the distaance to the green or less and then use a range finder to see how far way the are from the green. not one marshall to move anyone along. At 5 + hours, they will never get another dollar of my money!!!! read more

It used to be a great course. Best municipal in the city, but the renovation ruined it!! I grew up across the street from it and loved playing it when I grew up and in later years after I moved. However, today the course is just a backwards shell of itself and with six par 3's!! Eleven holes are nothing more than backward holes of the originals. To spend $15.5M to do what was done to it is ridiculous!! Put in a new irrigation system, redo the greens, upgrade the traps, and put in a short game area was really all that was needed. The layout was already a great layout!! I've been around it one time and it made me throw up! I will never play there again!!! read more

I was at a golf tournament today spectating my nephew play and Raymond Briggs was continuously a terrible influence and poison to his surrounding. He was rude, poor tempered, ignorant, childish, and a terrible example for every young aspiring golfer on the course. i watched as he yelled at CHILDREN to speed up there round as they were just getting off the tee box, I even witnessed him trashing his own staff and being incredibly disrespectful. This course is lovely stand alone but with a cancer like him as head pro I could see this course falling apart as who could work alongside this man or support him in a position of authority. Sincerly disappointed in what I saw today, I hope meadowbrook makes changes shortly! read more

Fun course, but $32 cart fee for 2 riders??? Insane. The deal you're getting is not a deal at all with that tacked on. Kind of slimy to try and pull that knowing people are going to rude in 105+ temperatures. The course itself has some really cool holes and is in pretty good condition. read more

I think this golf course is way underrated! It's older, and not as fancy looking as some other courses but it is clean and well maintained. The staff is always super duper friendly. Their cook Mandy makes a mean cheeseburger. It's a lovely way to spend a beautiful sunny Saturday morning. read more

Played this Ft. Worth muni for the first time today. Interesting layout with a lot of elevation changes and opportunities for tree trouble. Course condition was not good. Greens are poor, and the fairways are threadbare in places and and hard as a rock with a lot of tricky bounces. Prior course knowledge would probably have improved my enjoyment, but there are more than a few crazy holes. The course has NO water jugs and no refreshment carts (at least not today). Also no driving range, although they do have two iron only warmup booths inside the clubhouse. The good news is that the price is right. But Ft. Worth's other muni's (Rockwood and Pecan Valley) are in much better condition. I MAY try this one again, but today it was very disappointing. The others in my group felt the same way. read more

The coarse is nice but most of the fairway is dead. The pro shop is ran terribly. They scammed me out of some money by "accidentally" overcharging me and saying it's too late to repay me so I had to choose things I didn't want to buy. Very disappointed. read more

Played 3 times in one week and loved playing here.. until we went in for water before the back 9 and were told we couldn't bring our 3 year old anymore (who is well-behaved). Spend the extra $$ at a nicer, more family-friendly course. read more

I played this course awhile back and thought it was very good. It is far from that today I guess the city of Fort Worth is looking to close this course like Sycamore Creek by not properly maintaining it. After a week of rain these fairways are dry to the bone with barely any grass, the greens have patches of dead grass and sand spots. Weeds everywhere and overgrowth right off the fairways with lots of ankle biting bugs. The city of Fort Worth should be ashamed to take money for this course and ashamed of how they are running a once nice course into the ground. If my city can't run a golf course makes me wonder what else they are screwing up!!! read more

I've been playing at Meadowbrook for many years and keep coming back. As a municipal course, the prices are very low and you get A LOT of bang for your buck. The course itself is maintained beautifully with a broad array of holes of varying difficulty. Whether it's right now after a fortunate pre-summer monsoon, or during the bleakest of scorching summers, the staff at Meadowbrook keep the course looking great. The clubhouse is nothing special, and that is TOTALLY OK! The great thing about Meadowbrook is the focus on golf itself. You won't find a castle for a clubhouse and you won't be able to have a gourmet meal with a martini. If that's what you're looking for when you go play golf, there are plenty of high-end courses around with an accompanying large fee. This course serves people looking to come play a fun round of golf in a beautiful setting, that's it. With that being their main focus, they've done a hell of a job. Meadowbrook is a prime example of how municipal golf courses can be a tremendous asset to citizens who enjoy the game. read more

For the price, the experience was okay and a decent spot if you are working on your game and can't get in anywhere else. I went during the Memorial Day weekend which is usually packed, but it was wide open and I could even play two balls. The rest isn't as kind; These are the worst greens I have ever played on. Reading them was pointless because they had zero consistency and had the texture of Seal's face. No matter the condition of the rest of the course, if the greens are bad then the course is bad. Simple five foot putts felt like 15 and there was nothing that was a "gimme". The course does have some scenic holes, the pace was good, and the clubhouse was okay. Even the cart girls visited my group twice on the front and back nine so the service wasn't bad. I'd keep this one as a last resort and even that being said, you'd still likely leave disappointed. read more

First off I want to say that you get what you pay for. It's one of the cheaper courses in the area and for a beginner or even maybe an average golfer it's perfect especially if you are on a budget. I will admit the greens and fairways aren't in the best shape especially compared to its competitors so if that's an issue go spend the extra 20-30 dollars. The clubhouse isn't anything fancy but it's nice enough! The staff has always been very nice and professional. I think if they did more maintenance on the fairways and tee boxes especially since it's hard to stick my tees in the ground, I would have given this place five stars. Also their is no marshals or drink carts out their. Not an issue for me but I did want to point that out. Take this review as you will as I've been coming here for a while now. I am a beginner golfer who is in college so if you are reading this, understand the main reason I like this course so much is it's fun enough especially for the price! read more

Best kept secret in the area. Greens are in great shape. Track is old school layout but great to play. 6,200 from the blue tee's whch makes it all you want. Some brown spots in the fairway due to heat stress but with grass (not dirt). Price is right too. $39 with cart on a 7:30 am Saturday morning tee time. read more

So I'm glad I'm the first to review this place. I've been playing here since I was 13 and I'm 26 now. I never expected much from this course because it was cheaper than all the other course and it's very close to my house. I decided to write a review today because I just played today. I started at 6:45 p.m. twilight hour. They do NOT have a twilight rate. I played last week for $23 around the same time as today. Kinda steep for a course this bad of shape. Today the club house guy said oh you're not gonna get more than 9 holes in... so I said ok. $16.50. I get done with 9 holes at 7:30. Time for more golf. Now I don't mind paying extra cause I'm about to play 18 or whatever I can get through with the sunlight I have left. The clubhouse guy says it's $16.50 more... i was like wtf. Thats $33 for 18 holes.... Some of you guys might be saying ok that's acceptable. But get this, the greens were shitty.... i mean worst than putting on the Arizona dessert sand with dead animals on it. I dont know what they try to achieve with aerating the holes when they pour sand all over the green. Putting on this crap was worst than putting on my shag carpet. The tee boxes look like they have never been tended too since i played when i was 13. The trees on the course have never been trimmed. Its like i grew up playing this course to watch the trees grow over the fairway every year. So here's my rant. Instead of play on this crappy course for the supposedly $33 2nd twilight price, it's better to just go to Waterchase, which is only 5 minutes away, for $21. Or just stay in Arlington where the courses are the same. Waterchase is where I'm going for now on. The greens are great, the fairway is great, the tee boxes are excellent. F this Meadowbrook course. Well the course isnt as good as i remember it to be but i must give a shoutout to a man there named RYAN. Guy was incredibly friendly and quite refreshingly jovial. He definitely deserves a raise based on excellent customer service. The few things I was upset about are the fact that there is very little in the way of potable water on the course. Put out some water jugs! Second, there was no beverage cart. Third, when we made the turn they had already shut down access to the snack bar! Again though, kudos to Mr. Ryan! read more
