Had a great experience celebrating Galatines with a group of nine. Our sever Cierra immediately greeted us and took drink orders. I was a little disappointed to learn the pasta was not made in house, but we were assured the pasta was high quality and worth it. Cierra recommended two dishes, the Chickien Picante, if you're a fan of capers and the Chicken Pasquale. We went with the Chicken Pasquale, and it was okay. I tasted the all beef lasagna and will order it next time. The lasagna was cheesy, hot, and flavorful. I would recommend it over the Chicken Pasquale. Our group chose this restaurant because we wanted to support a local restaurant and we were happy. read more

Great service even just for take out. Really liked my Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. Probably best I have had in town! My husband enjoyed his meatball sandwich, they did not skimp on the meatballs that's for sure. Would be nice if they gave bread to take out customers. It's pricy, but what isn't these days? The sauce is a bit different here...not the sweet tomato sauce, but I found it very appealing and the meatballs are just wonderful. We had salads too, and they have spinach and lots of good stuff in them plus a great balsamic dressing. It was good stuff. I'll go back. read more

Was really looking forward to trying this place. I ordered to go. Once I got it home and started unpacking my meal I quickly noticed that the portions were definitely not worth the price they pay. However, if the flavors are good I would go back. I will echo what others have said what I had was very bland. You would think that with the name meatballs that at least those would be good, they were not. The meatballs are small balls of ground beef without any seasonings with unseasoned tomato sauce poured on top. The bread was stale. The salad was old, with molded tomatoes. The salad dressing was bland. The only thing that was ok was the fettuccine that my wife had, but nothing special about it. I rarely say this about local places, but just drive on past this place to one of our other Italian restaurants in Hermitage. read more

We had dinner here on a Friday night and started to get busy by 6pm. We ordered calamari, Veal Parmigiana, Chicken Piccata and Alfredo Fettuccine. The entree came with soup or salad, and 3 or 4 slices of bread with olive oil and a drop of balsamic glaze on a dipping saucer. They have a bar and may have good cocktails and wine list. Just visited Meatballs for the first time and was very impressed. For a small strip mall restaurant, it had the vibe of a nice downtown well run Italian restaurant. We started with the bruschetta, pictured below, and it was just as fabulous as it looks. The salads were great and the entrees divine. I ordered chicken fettuccine alfredo, and it was the best of my 50 years on this planet. My wife had lasagna and my girlfriend had the baked ziti, both better than the maggianos chain. We ordered tiramisu and cheesecake to go, both homemade. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed! read more

This place is close by and I really wanted to like it. Took the family there recently and was let down on all fronts except ambiance, which was pretty nice. My lasagna barely had any meat in it, the wife's chicken pasta dish had a tiny piece of chicken, the charcuterie board was very ... unpolished. Staff was friendly but easily identifiable as young and inexperienced. I think for the prices, if your paying $20-$30 per entree, the level of quality needs to be much higher. We will try again and order different entrees in case it was just an off night. read more

It's in a strip mall but don't let that fool you - this place is lovely on the inside. Clean place, nice bar, tons of tv's which seem a little out of place but it made it more casual and unassuming. We had the chicken Marsala and Baked Ziti and both were really good. Took home a piece of coconut cheesecake - good lord, I almost passed out when I got a bite. Fantastic dessert! Laid back, not over-crowded. The cheese bread app is plentiful and a damn good price. The meatball app was good. The lasagna was good but a tad skimpy. The veal pasquale was good with 3 sauces mixed together. I was a tad disappointed the veal was pork. True veal is beef, but was still good. We found this by chance looking for a non-chain Italian restaurant. Fantastic food and service! I cannot say that enough! Our double-duty host/server, Scott, was extremely helpful with suggestions and was very attentive. We had the spaghetti and meatballs and the daily special, which was a mozzarella & prosciutto stuffed chicken breast with risotto. House salad dressing and made-fresh-daily bread was very tasty too. We were told everything was locally sourced (except the special pie crusts from Chicago) and that everything was made fresh. It's a smaller place with an event room in the back. This was my first visit and last visit to this restaurant. I was very excited to try "authentic Italian food" with such high reviews. We arrived Friday at dinner time and only one other couple was in the restaurant. The bread was very dry and crumbly. Both dishes lack flavor and tasted very similar off. This was not fresh authentic Italian food at all. We barely ate 25% of our dishes and didn't ask for boxes. No fresh anything and very overpriced. You are better off going to Olive Garden. read more

We drove out around 8:45 and it was locked; we could see the workers inside cleaning up and a sign on the door. They had decided to close earlier than promised. We did, however, have another great meal at Los Compadres! Then tonight the exact same thing occurred; called ahead to confirm they'd be open since it's the end of a holiday weekend, they stated they were, and once again, upon arrival, they were all locked up. The chef has an insane fascination with arugula and not only puts it on EVERYTHING, but puts a lot of arugula on everything. Arugula is terrible and overpowers any other flavors. I hope to come back in a few months and be able to provide a better review. Since this restaurant is brand new they still have some kinks to work out. The space is pretty small and sterile. White walls, high ceilings, and so many TVs for an Italian restaurant. It did not feel very warm or inviting. The tables and chairs were generic and cheap looking- like what you would expect from a deli or donut shop. The bar had about 6 stools but there did not appear to be a bartender working behind it, just whichever waitresss happened to be back there. There were two no-nos happening at the bar. The first is that they had two opened bottles of Prosecco in the fridge behind the bar with no stoppers. I didn't order Prosecco because it must have lost its bubbles just sitting uncorked. They make Prosecco stoppers to keep opened now bottles fresh-they need to invest. Issue number two is the bartender said there was no wine menu, and she said not having a menu "let her do her job by talking about the wines." I hated this. I ordered a Cabernet not knowing if it was $6 per glass or $20. I did not want to be tacky asking the price but it made for a very uncomfortable situation. Funny enough when we got menus at our table there was a wine menu! There was also no host stand which made walking in awkward because there was a wait and it was not obvious where yoU should check in. After we got seated there was some confusion about who our waitress was and we didn't get menus for about 10 minutes. I did stop someone and let her know and she came over with menus and even brought another glass of wine for the inconvenience. The food was ok. The entrees came with bread and oil, and a house salad. I prefer a salad on a plate instead of in a cereal bowl. Also the side dishes were plastic disposable, although I did see some nicer ceramic ones later in the night. The napkins were paper and small! Again it felt like the kind of napkin that would come in a paper bag with your donut. Cloth napkins would add too the atmosphere. The food was good. Not great. If the atmosphere were better I'd come back for the food. I think there is room for improvement and some of these things may be because it is brand new. I look forward to coming back in a few months. read more

Honestly the one star is for the server Anna who waited on us at the bar. Well she deserves 4 star actually. The food and pricing and execution is cause for the 1 star We waited at the bar and had a drink while they cooked our entrees. I asked the veal parmigiana to be light sauce and it was totally dipping w sauce and the spaghetti was over cooked. The sauce had so much acidity to it as well. The veal was tough. The second shrimp entree was good. Ordered two salads asked for Caesars. Never told they were 2.50 extra for a few pieces of Romain 3 croutons and a small ramekin of Caesar. Ordered the garlic beers too. That was the best part. Spent 71.00 and left Anna 11 .00. It was close to our home and first try. Not worth the money. Sauce tastes like it comes out of a can. No flavor profile to it. When a guest asks for a special instruction they should get it. Y'all are not cheaply priced. Pls get it right The to go order was a long wait and Anna even apologized.
