    The best conchas ever! Everything made fresh daily. So many baked goods to choose from. The bolillo and cuerno danes are my faves 10/10. Definitely need to stop by if you are in the area.

    Slap myself silly!!! I thought I had reviewed this little hidden treasure. Well here it goes folks: The sweet bread & bolillos are super fresh, maybe we haven't been to all the panaderia's/bakeries in East LA & beyond for that matter, but Meatland so far is the one closest to fresh we've ever had. I come from Whittier and their bakeries (some staples of the community since I grew up) but the truth is that soon as I buy their sweet bread/bolillos & take home wrapped ever so tightly, already ends up being hard as cardboard and UN-enjoyable w/coffee. But, when I get my selected goodies from Meatland, (wrapped up properly from paper bag to plastic bag tightly) will last close to five days. My only pet peeve is that they don't have the Sandia's (watermelon cookies) and those seem to have become a hard to find item. Lucky for me there's a bakery in Pico Rivera that makes a butt load of them & you will find now & then at Superior Warehouse Groceries. I also wish they carried the "Polvornes" (wedding cookies) but Jagger says I can't always get what I want......no I swear I didn't fall on my head. This is one of the best things in East Los. Visit their carneceria (meat market of the same name) next door. It's that good!! Parking on street and behind their meat market. They both take ATM.

    Great little gem. The bakery's aroma, presentation and flavor is amazing. Bread is fresh and they have a great variety for everyone in my household. The owner is very polite and humble. Really loved this bakery, will definitely come back.

    They've got some of the best pan dulce I've had in a while. Will definitely start coming here regularly for my Mexican bread cravings!!

It was a little bit savory with the miso but still (not too) sweet. This felt super original and I would definitely recommend. I also tried the pistachio croissant and asparagus danish this time round and both were extremely good as well. I would have no qualms with re-ordering either. The only note is the pistachio cream is pretty runny, so it's hard to cut and share, as the cream just oozes out. The workers there are super friendly and kind. The drinks are also very good if you're looking to get a little extra treat as well.

I got a sausage bbang, a chocopie, and a dalgona latte. The sausage bbang was soggy on the bottom and honestly tasted like it was from the day before. The chocopie barely had any filling, just a thin layer of marshmallow and jam. It honestly felt like they used most of the marshmallow for their Dubai choco cookie because it's probably more profitable, instead of properly filling the chocopie. If that's the case, it's better not to sell it at all than serve something like that. The dalgona latte was also disappointing. With ice, the drink only filled to the bottom third line of the cup marking. Clearly, they skimped on the milk. There was also a weird moment when I paid. My total was $15.25 and I paid cash, but I was given $4.75 in change. When I said it should be $5, she seemed confused and asked what I meant. I told her I literally gave you a quarter right now, and she questioned it before eventually giving me the correct change. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and assume it was a mistake. I understand times are hard, but charging more for products that clearly had corners cut doesn't sit right with me. It just comes across like there's no integrity. Clearly the quality and portions are going downhill. I wasn't even planning on writing this review. I was going to stay quiet, but the chocopie really ticked me off. I'm not going to pay for food that skims on ingredients and shortchanges customers by charging more for less, so this will be my last visit.

Parking is a bit hard but that's ktown for you. For sure the treats are good but wouldnt describe this place as one of my go-to's in korea town to study nor to catch up with my friends.

I expected a high-quality cupcake. The cupcakes looked cute, but they were as dry as the Sahara. They should have been labeled as white cupcakes as I didn't detect any vanilla in them. I suspect that the "buttercream" was made with milk and margarine and powdered sugar.....so much powdered sugar. It was sickeningly sweet, and it was dry too. And a true bettercream doesn't even use powdered sugar. So not only were the cupcakes terrible, they were not even what they purported to be. This is like calling a cut of meat a filet mignon and serving a hamburger. Von's, Ralphs and Albertson's make better cupcakes than this for a fraction of othe price.

That croissant deserves special mention. Large, beautiful, flaky, buttery, and everything a croissant should be. One bite and we understood why people rave about the bakery. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, with attentive service that made it easy to slow down and enjoy the morning. Large windows provided wonderful views of the surrounding downtown buildings, and we found ourselves lingering over coffee while watching the city come to life. As if breakfast wasn't enough, the pastry display caught our attention on the way out. Everything looked so beautiful and delicious that we couldn't resist taking a few pastries home with us. We haven't tried them yet, but if they're anything like breakfast, we're in for a treat. Bottega Louie was a wonderful stop before heading home and a breakfast we'll definitely remember.
