We've been here a few times already but today is the first time we came really early, like 6am. OMG, we totally love their bread selections...so many and so hard to choose from. We have tried their: 1 Blueberry muffins: Very good, lots of blueberries. 2 Jalepeno hotdog bread(?): It is bolillo baked with hotdog and jalapeños. YUMMY, definitely one of my favorites. 3 Choco flan: Another yummy desert. 4 Submarine sandwich: Very filling and good. Ask for jalapeños on the side. 5 Croissant: Buttery and . 6 Chocolate cake: A small chocolate cake. Very surprised that it is not too sweet and very good. Of course we tried more than the ones listed above but dont know what they're called . Overall, very good place to get Mexican breads. Oh. The only reason for the 4-star is because of the parking. I recently visited this bakery and witnessed something very disturbing. A woman was yelling at an employee in front of customers and even called her a "puerca," which means "pig" in Spanish . It was extremely disrespectful and completely unprofessional. At first I thought she was just another employee, but after seeing how aggressively she was speaking to the worker I asked who she was and found out she was actually the manager, and her name is Noemí. This is not the first time I've witnessed behavior like this there, but this time I felt I had to say something. No employee deserves to be humiliated like that, especially in front of customers. It created a very uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone in the store. I truly hope the employees know they have rights and consider reporting this kind of behavior to OSHA. No workplace should tolerate verbal abuse like that. read more

I have always wanted to try the bread at this bakery. I was in the neighborhood yesterday and stopped by. I purchased 2 bolillos with cream cheese , 2 polvorones, 3 breads and 2 valentine sugar cookies with sprinkles. total $24.90 I could not believe I was being charged that amount for 9 pieces of bread. I asked for a receipt and the lady made sure to tell me the sugar cookies cost $3.95 each. Who charges $3.95 for a regular sized sugar cookie with sprinkles. I will never go back. I was totally overcharged for my bread and I would rather go to El Gallo and get twice the amount of bread for what I paid at Sonora Bakery. Total RIP OFF!!!!!! read more

Customer Service is horrible. With my latest order a request I made wasn't met in my order when I picked up and when I brought up the issue and it not being the first time it's happened the manager, Patricia, asked to my face with attitude well why do you keep coming here then. That's very rude and disrespectful, especially when I've been a loyal customer for years. I have been coming here for years and years. I have ordered every bday cake for my son's bday from here, but this type of service is unacceptable. Obviously my business isn't important to them so I won't be returning here. Go early!!! They almost sell out by the end of the night and that it until the next day. The ladies are all helpful and friendly. Prices for the delicious Mexican bread is reasonable. All the bread is soft and light. Conchas are out favorite. Not sure if they have the mini conchas. They also have savory empanadas, Mexican milk jellos, choco-flan, cheese flans and cakes. read more

Hector and Teresa opened the business with many of Mama Teresa's recipes. Sonora is also proud to sponsor the yearly "Dia De Los Reyes Magos" were hundreds of children of the community are given gifts and are able to see the "3 Kings with their Camels" and pet various farm animals! Meet the Business Owner: Denis O.

Hector and Teresa were born in Buenoas Aires, Argentina and have lived in United States since 1963! Denis was born in Queens, New York and at a young age moved (with his parents and sibling) to Buenos Aires, Argentina, were he was raised. Moved back to Los Angeles at the age of 16 and has been working in the family business all these years!

I didn't know that they had pastries on display until after I had payed for drinks and had to make line again. Can't imagine how frustrating it can be when it's a bit busy and having to make line again. I ordered a regular matcha latte with oat milk, the color was promising but once I took a sip of it I was disappointed. If you're a person that likes sweet matcha then this is for you. I personally I didn't like it just because it was sweet and grainy. I could see matcha but could not taste it. My sister got an iced vanilla latte and said it was really good! Not too sweet and not bitter either. I would have to go for an iced latte if I ever come back to visit!

The mochi twist was delicious and I knew it would be because I like mochi donuts. What I didn't expect to be delicious and likely my favorite treat here was the dinosaur churro. If she didn't insist I think I would choose that last or gave it away. BUT I did try it and fell in love with it. I did share other items selected by my friend who was with me and did not get to taste them. The baristas were fun and friendly as they prepared our coffee. I really do like this place and have been coming here for the last 5 years. I understand stuff happening that causes delays or closing the store for the day. But this is constant with them. For the high price point of their limited food and drink options.
