We loved the food. The service is always fantastic and the vibe is true Mexican. They have the biggest margaritas that I've ever seen.

We stopped into Cone Zone on a whim while in the Albion area. This is a CASH ONLY establishment…read more The menu has the typical assortment of options you'd expect to see at an ice cream stand of this nature. There are soft serve and hard-scoop cones, regular and deluxe sundae options, "Blizzards" (soft-serve with mix-ins), milkshakes, etc. My husband went with his favorite, a banana split. It was a standard banana split size and construction, with fresh bananas. It was $8, a decent deal for a banana split these days. Any hard-scoop flavor ice cream can be turned into a milkshake, and my son went with a cannoli ice cream milkshake for $6. I had a Reese's Pieces sundae for $7. Instead of fudge and peanut butter topping, I asked for all peanut butter. The sundae was just okay. It was served in a small round cup. A very limited amount of toppings could fit. It was essentially 90% ice cream. The best part of a sundae (and what you pay more for) is all of the ooey-gooey toppings, so if it is mostly ice cream, the ice cream had better be pretty good. But nope. The vanilla soft serve was just fine, nothing exceptional. When in Albion for ice cream, Cone Zone is a good enough choice. (But The Shack in Lyndonville, not too far away from Albion, has far superior sundaes, more choices, and takes cards; just an FYI.)

I firat found out about this Mexican Store and Taco Truck from locals while I was at an art exhibit that was in town. This place may very well have the most authentic taco experience in Western New York. The taco truck is parked outside of the grocery store, and you can order single tacos in steak, chicken, carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor, or buy an order of tacos, which gives you one of each! Each taco has tons of meat, along with diced onion and cilantro, and comes with lime wedges and pickled onion. Bottles of Guacamole, Roja and Verde sauces are also available, I personally love the Verde. There are a few tables outside, and a few indoors in a side room of the Store. The taco truck seems to only be open on weekends from mid May to mid October. The store is interesting as well, with a lot of fresh produce, snacks, clothes and more that you can't find at most grocery stores.

This is a review of the actual store. The taco truck, which sits outside, has very limited hours, and is only open in the summer, so I will do a separate review of that when I finally get to try it. Hopefully Yelp will move the Taco Truck reviews over to the new listing once it exists. The people running it are lovely. The Mexican drinks are dirt cheap and authentic imported. Try all of the Jarritos, or try some of the Mexican coke which is made with real sugar and therefore actually tastes surprisingly... good! You can see from the pictures that the place is full of all kinds of amazing stuff. If you're ever in Medina, you must stop by. It's not a town you'd ever expect such a marvellous extensive Mexican store in, and yet, here it is. I hope they stay in business. I think they're connected to the Monte Alban restaurants in Rochester and the burbs of the 585. And of course if the taco truck is open, stop there and have a taco. You can always call this store and ask if their taco truck is open, and if not, then when. Speaking of tacos, would you like to see mine. Oh wait, I have the other thing. The Chorizo. Well maybe you can put Chorizo in the Taco? That sounds like it would be perfect. Let me know if you're up for it. After all, it's my life. And all the people, so many people, all go hand in hand through their Parklife. Damon "Monte" Albarn told me.

This is the spot to go. We came in for a quick stop to grab some ice cream on the way home. We also had to pick up some candy too because I mean, we were here, might as well! This place always feels like walking into Wonka's factory. There are so many different kinds of chocolate and candy that there is something for everyone on that front. Then the ice cream parlor is pure nostalgia and there are so many flavors offered. I got a milkshake and it was made perfectly, topped with whipped cream and a chocolate wafer. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. The vibes are so happy in here. I suggest this spot to everyone looking for some sweets.

I don't make it over to Double Dips often as I live in Buffalo, but when I do, I get a large Cyclone made with vanilla custard, Butterfinger (or Oreo), and cheesecake pieces. The cup is large but the last few times I've ordered this, I've noticed they don't fill the cup all the way, which is a bit of a bummer. Plus, the distribution of mix-ins isn't the most even - Last time all the cheesecake pieces were at the top while all the Butterfinger was at the bottom. Prices are a little higher but in 2026, everything is priced higher and they are THE ice cream spot in Medina. Double Dips posts frequently on Facebook about their weekly special custard and non-dairy custard flavors as well as other ice cream novelty specials. All-in-all, Double Dips remains a solid ice cream stand in small town Medina.

We went back for lunch a few days into our trip. We ordered 2 Italian Sausages w/ peppers and onions, a side of Mac-n- cheese squares (fried)- oh my! Yum! They had a sizable lunch crowd. We stopped in for ice cream. Ice cream service is through an outside window on the side of the diner. There is picnic table outdoor seating. Compared to ice cream spots we frequent in more populated areas, selections here may seem limited. But there is surely something that will satisfy your sweet tooth if you don't have too restricted of a diet. They serve all hard-scoop Hershey's ice cream. My hubbs and son were pleased with their choices (Camo-Cream and Cookie Dough), and my small peanut butter sundae was sized just right for a reasonable treat. Prices were pretty fair; for the three of us, we paid just over $11. They do offer some specialty milkshakes that looked interesting, which comes with a glass mug you keep. We will work our way to trying one of those sometime. We did not eat any of the diner food this time, but there were a couple of patrons at the picnic tables with takeout boxes. The food looked good, like fried and grill food you'd expect from a diner. Currently, during pandemic times, they were only serving takeout only, no indoor seating yet. If you're visiting the Point Breeze area and want an ice cream treat and/or a diner meal, give Hayden's a try.
