    Spicy Miso 2.0 Tonkotsu 3.0

Went there one night for dinner excited to try this the munchies were the best part. lil disappointed in the ramen they were so SALTY. My boyfriend and I got kimchi fried rice (fire), the firecracker wings WERE DELICIOUS, spicy tuna hand roll was good, spicy miso 2.0 ramen was so salty but I love that the noodles weren't mushy, tonkotsu 3.0 ramen was just so salty. Def be back for the munchies but also service needs to be more attentive. The man came checked on us like 2 times and would never remove the dirty plates I had to keep trying to find room on the table to be able to eat.

It's not often my husband and I can both satisfy our want for Pho and Ramen at the same time, but Mecha entered the chat! Walked in on a Friday night without a reservation and was seated right away. For appetizers we ordered: Spareribs (5/5) and the egg rolls (3.5/5). The spareribs had a nice crust like finish and the sweet and sour glaze was flavorful. The egg rolls were good, but they were essentially spring rolls with a side of lettuce. The description reads as a DIY, protein and lettuce wrap situation which is what I was looking for rather a fried spring roll. But can't knock the flavor. The dipping sauce was a nice touch. The pho (4/5) and the ramen (4/5) were good. Flavors layered, broth did not fall flat, and both were served with a healthy amount of noodles and protein. The menu features add on (toppings) recommendations and they were clutch, and I agree adding them to your pho/ramen if you're looking to take it to the next level. Honorable mentions: our server Maggie was a treat. Her energy was unmatched and she made our dining experience a fun one. Also the 'drinkers confession' cocktail, is a fun play on an old fashioned with plum wine and other relevant ingredients instead. It's worth getting for the confession book alone ... iykyk. Definitely giving Happy hour a try, I want to dive into more munchies!

Amazing food! First time at a noodle bowl restaurant. Ellendora was friendly just outstanding! You can tell she enjoys her job. Give us recommendations. Also some background on the owners. Love the ceiling looks like 2x2 boards hanging from the ceiling. Atmosphere was just asp relaxing. The broth in my noodle bowl lots of flavor!

Came across an Instagram ad for Mecha and we are always on the lookout for new ramen spots, so decided to try. It is a chain, so not sure how freshly the food is made, but still lots of interesting menu options. The aesthetic is very warehouse - laidback, with mostly stools for seating and some booth seats. We shared the mushroom dumplings, Kinoko Vegan, and Curry Laksa (made vegan). The mushroom dumplings had great mushroomy-umami flavor, but were served on a bed of sauce / broth and got a bit soggy throughout dinner. Both ramen were tasty - the Curry Laksa is genuinely spicy and the Kinoko is very heavily mushroom-based, but I like mushrooms so didn't mind. Service was a bit slow, we had to call out to our server a few times to get their attention, and food took a pretty long time to arrive. Otherwise overall a good experience, and would come again if someone else suggested it and wanted to try it but wouldn't necessarily bring a friend visiting Philly here.

A variety of noodles from multiple cuisines in a modern Japanese inspired style restaurant. They had anime playing all around, service was friendly, and not too loud. Easy to get seating. I got the curry laksa which was full of ingredients. Also tried their mala stir fry. I didn't get any drinks but they all seem to be Asian inspired which sounded super yummy so will definitely come back for them.

Overall, a great spot to get your pho fix! The servers were kind and immediately greeted us. I ordered the pho bo vien that came with tai, but they forgot to include it so I did have to ask the waiter about it. The BYOB was a great appetizer to share among the 5 of us. I felt the broth was flavorful and on the sweeter side, though the temperature of the soup could be more hot. Some of us ordered tai steak on the side as we usually do at other pho spots, but this broth here was not hot enough to cook the tai steak to a medium rare. The ambiance of the restaurant was great for small and bigger groups. Small suggestion: regular napkins instead of the paper hand towels would be great- they're a bit rough when using it for your face.

I ordered the spicy beef ramen with the buttered corn topper. While the presentation was appealing, the flavor just didn't land for me personally. The broth wasn't bad, but it didn't quite come together in a way I enjoyed, so overall the food was a 2/5 for my taste. That said, the service was good--attentive and friendly without being overbearing--and the ambiance was gorgeous, with a warm, stylish vibe that made the space enjoyable to be in. If you're someone who loves rich ramen flavors, this may still be worth trying, but it just wasn't my thing.

Great neighborhood spot -- finally tried it and loved it! We've walked past Mecha Noodle Bar a million times and finally stopped in -- and honestly, it was so good. We sat at the bar and had an awesome server who made the whole experience even better. We started with the Smashburger bao bun and the poutine, and both were killer. I got the pho, my husband ordered the curry laksa ramen, and everything came out super flavorful, hot, and perfectly done. No misses. The vibe is great too -- fun, lively, and just a solid place to hang out for a casual night out. Definitely glad this spot is right down the street. We'll be back!

We went here on a Friday without reservations! It was crowded (but they managed it well!), there was a small wait but nothing crazy. There is a ton of space and we were seated at the bar and helped right away. Their beer list is small, and they don't have wine, but do have LOTS of sake and fun cocktails, and bubble tea. We didn't order fun drinks but those definitely looked delicious, but a little slow to come out (behind the bar is tiny and they were hustling.) Our crab Rangoon came out quick and it was really really fresh. The wait for our Bao buns, hand rolls, and pho took a little longer, but again, this was a Friday night on week 2 of being open. The food itself was great especially for the price. The ribeye on the pho was a little bland but it wouldn't stop me from getting it again. Will certainly be back!

I was super excited to go here, but I was so disappointed. The server was training someone and maybe she was distracted. The main reason I was super excited to go here was for the alcoholic boba, but for some reason they gave me boba without alcohol. I got the mango lassi and sadly, it was just OK. It did have too much boba - it was a huge mouthful whenever I had a sip. Our drinks were also sitting by the bar ready for a long time. We shared the mushroom dumplings and they were VERY good. No complaints there. I got the vegan ramen with egg and corn. It was...so salty it was difficult to eat. And it's sad because that's the only vegetarian soup on the menu. The ambiance is very pretty and it might be nice to come for a happy hour.

From my seat I could see sushi being prepared and the daily workings and prep. The seating is deceiving as there are 2 seperate sections of the restaurant. The spring rolls were good but the crispy salmon skin roll was out of this world. I will come back just for that! Service was a bit slow even sitting at the bar and my water glass was never refilled even when asked but I'll chalk it up to a busy Friday. Will definitely be back!

literally best vegetarian / vegan sushi in the city…read more okay to start, if your friend/date/family member is vegetarian or vegan, take them here. you both will have options. inside is cozy. service is really thorough and like a well oiled machine. for the vegetarians: The lime sinko roll is a classic avocado cucumber roll with a pickled vegetable layer on top and a thin slice of lime. the roll itself is great, simple, and a classic. my sister really likes the pickled vegetable and lime on top. I however, just peel it off. it's good but I prefer without it. the veggie on fire is what you need: probably their best roll on the menu. it's a cucumber avocado roll with a spicy zucchini sauce on top and crispy fried onions. it's messy. it's spicy. it's delicious. the sauce is orange in color, has tiny slivers of zucchini in it. I was hesitant to try it at first, but it's my favorite roll now. the vegan tuna roll: it's marinated tomato in place of tuna. i've never had fish or tuna, but it definitely tastes a lot more fishy. I guess that's the marinade. texture is kinda slimy? mushy? I feel like this might be the roll for someone who liked the taste of fish but went vegan and wants a replica. Not for me, but well made nonetheless. Appetizers The veggie gyoza: the gyoza itself is green, doesn't taste different to a non green dough, but visually that might matter to some people. sauce they serve on the side is very good. comes with a lot, at least 6 I think. tastes good. I don't recall any mushrooms in it and if there is they are not noticeable as i'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms. The Spring rolls: new to the menu, no meat, interesting? they are more soft inside than expected. not a lot of veggies. tiny. cute little app to share and try. they come with two. no mushrooms. I typically prefer a more veggie heavy and crispy spring roll but i'd order them again! Samosa: currently off the menu I think, but in case they add it back, this was very good. i'd order this over the spring rolls. they were crispier and I think it came with three. Miso Soup: it's a fine little bowl of miso. I typically always order miso at every Japanese restaurant to start my meal. i'm not picky about miso, but I will say, it's not my favorite miso. I still order it every time, just not the absolute best i've had. It has small little tofu chunks and some green leafs which I find are in most misos but I have no idea what they are. small little bowl. perfect to order first. edamame: very good I always order in the beginning and I have a bad habit of also ordering another for dessert. the veggie bun: I don't like mushrooms, but if you do you will love this. my sister loves it. it's not often there is a vegetarian option for a bun, so i'd get it. the sauce on it is very good. comes with two. Karaage: This is chicken, but my dad gets it and it looks very good and crispy. if I ate meat i'd order this. avocado salad: okay so the ginger dressing is a little different than typical ginger dressing which I like. it's unique and very good. the amount of avocado is amazing! it has to be a whole avocado. always fresh. the green leafs are a little big, so this can get messy fast if you're on a date and trying to be demure. this is a must order for three people in my family. every time we go it's three orders clock work. I tried sharing with my sister and we determined we cannot share this. honestly bigger than I expected and more filling than I expected. has some cut up tomato's and cucumbers inside as well. mochi: must get. one order is one mochi cut in half. so two people could share one mochi order. i'm team chocolate, but I heard strawberry is good. I think I tried all of their flavors but honestly can't remember them. I'll update as I try more of the vegetarian/vegan rolls

The toro was also a standout, although how can you go wrong with toro, uni, and caviar? The wagyu dog itself was great, but the roll it was on was dry. In my opinion, the bread makes or breaks a sandwich, so points off for that one. The ambiance was cozy, if a little dark at times. I also thought it would be great if they asked about your taste, favorite cocktail, etc to truly customize the drink. While there isn't a formal coat check, there are designated racks where you can store clothing and belongings. The restaurant shares a space with Almanac, its upstairs cocktail bar. Despite being catered as a social atmosphere, I never felt that its presence (or playlist) disrupted my dining experience. There's service staff moving about the stairwell behind the Ogawa counter, but I felt you can still clearly hear and immerse yourself with the chefs during the meal. I visited with my partner for their Midweek Omakase Experience, which provides an abridged four set, 16-course meal perfect for a date night. This particularly stood out to me, since it's a $250-per couple offering that makes it more affordable and welcoming for veteran diners or first-time omakase enjoyers. The Food Breakdown: First Set (4.5/5) - The appetizer dishes were a great start to our meal. I thoroughly enjoyed the selections of cuts with the pickles on the second plate. The scallop was also seasoned incredibly well, and the brush of soy helped elevate each bite. Second Set (5/5) - Flavors from the chawanmushi helped warm the palette, especially with the chutoro of the bluefin tuna presented in this course. I felt that this set had the greater diversity of textures between bites, which made savoring it more worthwhile. Third Set (4/5) - Miso soup was a great start before we were served delicious otoro cuts of fish. The portion sizes were also excellent, and Chef Andy did a fantastic job describing each bite in full detail. Chef Andy was welcoming, knowledgeable at every step of our meal, and demonstrated a clear passion in his preparation of each bite. It was a great and affordable experience for an omakase!
