There are not adequate words to describe how amazing MechaniCool is. Our air conditioning stopped working on a Thursday evening. We sent a message to MechaniCool on Friday morning and on Friday afternoon, Nick came over to check out what was going on. Our 14 year old system needed to be replaced and he sent us a quote on Saturday to review. On Sunday, he spent 40 minutes on the phone with us, going through each option in detail to help us make an informed decision. We notified them on Monday that we wanted to move forward with the new system and the installation was scheduled for Wednesday. Last year we used this company and had great service. They even fixed our garage small refrigerator at no cost. They called to remind me of servicing the air conditioner. Nick Smith came out and was so nice and friendly. He had patients with these old folks, answered all our questions, and did a thorough inspection. Called them early in the morning on July 4th as my air conditioning unit was having problems. They were my second call as the first place I called went to voicemail. The person who answered the phone was very pleasant and advised me that they were open and had a person in the field. There was no extra 'up charge' because it was a holiday. She advised me that I would get a call 30 mins ahead of the technicians arrival. Sure enough Nick called at about 11:15am and promptly showed up around 11:45am. Nick was had a good attitude and promptly diagnosed the issue with the a/c unit. The price was very competitive. I'm glad the first place I called never answered their phone. We had some issues this past weekend with our AC. Given the fact we are in 100 plus degree weather and expecting it to be around 115 this weekend we did not want to take any chances of completing being without the AC. A lot of our neighbors use MechaniCool so we gave them a call. The woman on the phone was very nice and she made the appointment with the understanding if we needed service before to call right away. During our 117 deg days, we had our AC stop. Called the company that we have a warranty with C.R., still waiting to hear back. Called MechaniCool, talked to someone right away, got a follow up call 10 minutes later. (at 7:30 on Saturday evening) We were given the bad news that they were so booked it would be 2 days before they could come. Got a text the next morning that they would be able to help us late Sunday in the afternoon. They were here, within 5 minutes knew what the problem was, and 10 minutes later we were up and running. This is a very good company. My neighbor suggested I call them and I am glad I did. The people in the office are quick to respond to emails and phone calls. The technician who came to my home, Nick, was professional and took the time to explain every step of the work he was going to do. I did end up deciding to have a replacement done on interior components that was fairly expensive, but necessary. The quote I received offered 3 options. Jaimie explained the 3 options clearly and answered my questions professionally. Nick was able to do the work within 2 days of my receiving the quote. The owner, Robert, came out to work with Nick and was easy to talk with. This company is family owned and the family is hands-on in every aspect of the business. I was treated fairly on the financial end, receiving a generous adjustment based upon the initial call and repair. Nick was a pleasure to have in my home and is a knowledgeable tech. He even swept up the work area and cleaned the floor. Definitely call these folks if you have any problems with your heating, AC or just need your bi-annual system serviced. A coworker recommended MechaniCoool after using them for service so I made an appointment for an estimate for AC replacement. The appointment was for 8am. They never called or showed. I contacted the office at 10am and the secretary said the person scheduled to do the estimate had to get his tires replaced before he could do anything else... but they always gave 4 hour windows for arrival rather than set a firm appointment. She didn't know when he would have his tires fixed... I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled for today. I even made sure they had my contact information correct. The secretary said I would be the first appointment of the day but just like last week they haven't called or contacted me. I have now wasted half of my day off waiting for them to show up for the appointment. Don't waste your time with this company! read more

I came home from vacation to a house that was over 90degrees. Not a fun thing to come home to. I made the dreaded call to an AC company after hours of course fully expecting them to take my first born as payment. What a wonderful surprise. Mechanicool came out on Monday of a 3 day weekend, without an extra charge. He was not only professional and friendly, but offered us a FAR less expensive way to fix our problem. Amazing family owned company! I haven't had my ac unit serviced in the 4 years that we have owned it because our builder said it could void the warranty (a total lie). I also stopped using my ac as much because my bill just skyrocketed when I did. I talked to Jamie about having it looked at and she scheduled Robert to come out. He did a fantastic job and spent the time to educate me about proper ac maintenance and also setting up my controls upstairs and downstairs for maximum efficiency. I have had my ac on for the last few weeks and my electric bill has only increased by $5.00 so far! I haven't turned on my ac this early in the year in the last 2 years! So my reasoning for a bad review is strictly because of their lack of urgency. I'm sure they do good work. But I never got that far with them. My air went out. So I called my normal service guy but he didn't answer. So I left him a message. In the meantime it is July so I called someone else because I didn't care who came. Just get my air running. They gave me a window they could come by. Which was hours later but whatever at least their coming. Guy proceeds to ask me questions about my unit and my breaker box. Well if I new ac units I wouldn't of called you and I'm not a electrician. I kinda felt like he should be telling me these answeres not asking me for the answer. Anyway he then tells me I need a new compressor. But won't be able to give me any kind of price until the next day. By 9 o'clock. What kinda upset me is even if he can't give me a exact price. He wouldn't tell me any price. If he has been doing this long enough you would think he would have a pretty good idea. So he doesn't charge me for the visit assuming he going to come the next day to install a compressor. He leaves. Meanwhile my normal guy calls me back. He tell me that their is no reason he couldn't give me a price right then and their. My guy says a compressor won't be any less than 2200. Then explained to me it will come with a 1 year warranty. Or he can get me a brand new unit for what I felt wasn't much more. And it will come with a 10 year warranty. So I asked him when he can come out. He came the very next morning at 830 am. Meanwhile mechanicool didn't even call me with a price until almost 12 noon. They quoted me 2450 for a compressor. And can install it by 6 o'clock. Meanwhile by the time they called my new unit is dang near completely installed. Whatever happened to the guy calling me by 9 o'clock to give me a price. I know it's summer and your busy. But it's just a phone call. Which again. I feel he could have given me a price when he came and looked at it. Then they proceed to still tell me they need to charge me for the visit for 69 bucks. I get it. You did come to my house and look at my unit. But their lack if urgency the next day I felt paying them a trip charge wasn't even worth it. read more

This is a great company, and Robert is wonderful to work with. I needed the A/C unit and duct work replaced in a small historic building I own in Pinal County. One of the issues I knew I had to address was the design of the building and the problem with the lack of airflow to some of the rooms in the building. There is no attic space in this 70+ year old building, so the ductwork has to go on the roof. I really didnt want to go cutting more holes in the roof to create new ducting routes to the rooms with poor airflow. Robert and I discussed the options available to me, and then he designed and fabricated an interior hanging ductwork system that looks great and solves the airflow problem. Robert and his crew were always on time, they stayed on budget, and they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend this company. read more

WOW!!! MechaniCool is amazing. Last night we were entertaining guests and our A/C went out around 9:00. We were sweating and our dogs were panting heavily. My wife was panicking suggesting we go to a hotel. I told her not to worry I know someone who could take care of it. I called MechaniCool as I have used them in the past.. I bought a house in San Tan Valley in October of 2015. Put renters in immediately, in July of 2016 the air conditioning went out. The system was 15 years old so I looked for a contractor to fix it or replace it. I did this search over the phone because I was still living 1800 miles away. I contacted MechaniCool because I found them on line. I agreed to replace the whole system with air And furnace with a top of the line system for $8000. At that time I was told ( by Robert at MechaniCool) that SRP would rebate me $800 on this install. Did the deal and expected the rebate as promised, but never received it. Called MechaniCool several times over the next 9 months and was told all kind of things as to why the rebate was not here YET blaming SRP the whole time. I was finally told the real reason after 9 months,that the real reason was that SRP required the installers to complete a test after installing to ensure efficiency of the system, and that MechaniCool was not capable of performing that test. I was planning a trip here to check on the renters on January of 2017 and was told to look Robert up when I got here and he would reimburse me the $800 in person. When I got here I called him for a week straight and left messages and he refused to answer my calls and never showed up. I am out $800.
