Came to work here for the day and enjoyed it very much. * Friendly staff, (forgot my water bottle and they held it for me to pick up) * Majority of pastries made in house - heard people asking for the strawberry scones but they were out for a few days. I've been a longtime supporter of MeCo; both Longmont and Lafayette locations have always felt like community gems. The drinks are fantastic, the pastries are great, and the staff is consistently kind and talented. But I'm still baffled by the lack of ceramic "for here" mugs. They clearly have the infrastructure to support them. There's a bussing station ready and waiting, and they make the pastries and cheesy bits in house. You can't tell me they don't have a place to wash a few mugs! Choosing not to offer reusable mugs is costing more than just extra paper cups; it's costing loyal customers like me. I've found myself going elsewhere lately, not because I don't love MeCo, but because even when I remember to bring my own cup, my friends usually don't. It feels wasteful to sit down and try to enjoy coffee in a disposable to-go cup. This feels like a small, one-time investment with a big environmental and customer loyalty return. I truly hope MeCo reconsiders. read more

What a wonderful gem in the neighborhood. I stopped by on a whim and it was worth it. The barista took his time explaining options - and I went with drip and a muffin so I could hang out for awhile. The coffee was good (and refillable as long as you sat). The muffin was yummy as well! The place is also a venue for local crafts folks to sell their wares. Some really unique stuff. Felt sort of a 'Cheers' atmosphere as most customers either knew each other or at least the barista. I chatted with a few locals and even got to pet a wonderful pup. read more

MeCo is a lovely neighborhood coffee shop with a variety of seating and local crafts and goodies for sale. The staff are friendly and laid-back, cheerfully serving your favorite coffee drink. This was from my first visit and I look forward to my next one. The Longmont location is on Main St and only has on-street parking. read more

i love this coffee shop so much!! their drinks are so good, especially the refreshers. it's also really great place to do homework and study because of the background music that isn't too loud or awkwardly quiet. and the paintings + the decor is really nice and not overwhelming. service 10/10, the guy that's always at the cash register is super welcoming and lovely. my only complaint is that every time i buy from here, a day later i get charged +$2? i use venmo for most of my transactions since i don't have a card from a bank. besides from my money disappearing a day after my purchase, it's worth your time and money! read more

I thought this was called Local Coffee Collective! I love this place. Everything is quality. They make their own whip cream and baked goods. Coffee is exceptional. I like the environment for virtual office when needed or to meet with friends. And my dogs love visiting as well. I buy honey and local art here. Soul pleased. read more

They allow dogs INSIDE. Enough said. Just kidding. I met the owner Shane at Cheba hut and he was fantastic, very friendly. So then my husband and I went to Meco for some food and coffee. The pastry I had has was egg and pesto and was delicious. Most of the store is local artist goods for sale. Very nice stuff. The ambience was welcoming and relaxing. MeCo Coffee Collective is EXACTLY what Longmont has been needing! It is the quintessential arty, local neighborhood, hang out with friends coffee shop! In fact, it has the same ambience we all witnessed in the TV show "Friends". The cool coffee shop we all wished existed in our own town so we could hang out with our friends and be cool. In a time where every coffee shop is a Starbucks or a Ziggi's, to have a local coffee shop where you can go in grab a delicious coffee or tea, find a comfortable chair to sit and read a book, do your schoolwork or your work-work or simply meet a friend(s) is fabulous! I discovered MeCo this past December when I was hoofing it all over downtown Longmont's Main St. looking for retailers to participate in a scavenger hunt for my daughter and her friend. My daughter was turning sweet 16 and I wanted to do something different for her. So, I planned a scavenger hunt along Main Street. I wrote clues for the retail stores that agreed to participate in the fun by keeping a purchased gift from their store behind the counter until the weekend. Hopefully, my daughter would figure out the clue, find her way to the retail store where there would be a surprise gift waiting for her and her friend. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun. Long story short, I went to Ziggi's and asked them if they would participate in the fun, they said "no". I was seriously bummed. It was going be cold outside and these girls were going to need coffee to keep them warm and fuel their brain to figure out the clues. I took to the internet and looked for another coffee shop on Main St. and found MeCo Coffee Collective! I hightailed it up Main Street and spoke with one of the owners, Shane Stinn and he was AWESOME!!!! He was so happy to participate and really excited for my daughter! I purchased a GC for a certain dollar amount which he kept in his system. If my daughter figured out the clue, she and her friend could order any coffee drink they wanted. Fast forward, my daughter did figure out the clue and she said when she walked in the first thing Shane said was "You did it! You figured out the clue! " He even asked her what the clue was and wanted to know her next stop. My daughter and her friend said the lattes were fabulous! She was also super excited that they used Torani syrups for their lattes, as Torani Syrups are Gluten Free! Their coffee is fabulous and very affordably priced. So please check out this super fun, super arty and super local coffee shop. You will not be disappointed! read more
