They had it in stock and offered delivery of the medication. I have since had other medications filled here not only for me but for my family members and have had zero problems. They are very easy to contact by phone, polite, just overall efficient. I've never had an issue with anyone who has delivered my medication, some of them text just to let me know it's been delivered even with a picture. They have been One of the best recommendations I've received from a doctor. For anyone who could be hesitant to use a small, local pharmacy, remember that the big name pharmacies could care less about filling your Rx because at the end of the day, they get a paycheck from corporate. So if there's an issue with your Rx, sometimes there's zero effort to actually get it resolved in a timely efficient manner because of that. These smaller local pharmacies actually care to make sure Rx is filled because they are paid by the insurance companies. That's what keeps them in business. Keep that in mind when your big name pharmacy tells you they've ordered your medication and have no idea when they'll get it in stock.

I called to ask if they would accept a new customer transferring from Walgreens, and the pharmacist was extremely unhelpful. I told him where I lived, and he was very reluctant to help. He stated that they had to have at least four medication's per month, but I told him I have 15 medications per month. Then I asked if they do delivery and he said only less than 5 miles and that I was "way too far away". I told him that I AM less than 5 miles away, but he was extremely unwilling to help and quite rude. It was so odd because everything that he said I needed to have to be accepted as a customer (good insurance, at least for prescriptions a month, less than 5 miles away...) was just right. I am very disappointed in Bao, the pharmacist I spoke to, and I am extremely disappointed in the way that I was treated. What pharmacist in the world would NOT want excellent insurance with 15 medications each month less than 5 miles away, and with the elementary school teacher, who is very friendly and seeking a new Pharmacy? I ended up finally hanging up on him because I was literally speechless and so offended. Every review that I read on here was at least one year old or more, so I have to assume that what used to be an excellent Pharmacy is now a terrible one. What a disappointment. Chris is proactively making an effort to remediate the wrongs and has gone so far as to get in touch with a startup specialty pharmacy in my area to (hopefully) serve me someday. He was also able to better explain the issues regarding the contractual relationship with specialty pharmacies and insurance, the reason I wrote my last review. While I am grateful for the actions Chris has committed to in order to improve Whole Health, I stand by my previous statement regarding the employees. I don't believe in absolute perfection from any business is possible every time, but every call made to Whole Health (that wasn't Chris) involved me arguing or pleading for help. I just don't think I should be in tears or allow a pharmacy to disturb my peace because the employees refuse to provide me solutions. I shouldn't have to ask for Chris on the phone as a last resort, only to find it ineffective in helping my problem. I also don't find it fair to blame an entire company for the faults of a few. I appreciate the apologetic calls but until I have experienced the improvements myself, I can only rightfully rate this pharmacy 3 stars.

I came here for a vaccination almost by happenstance. I work across the street at the hospital (I…read morehave for over 20 years). I used to go to the local RiteAid in Long Beach near where I live, but when they closed, I started going to CVS as everything was automatically transferred to them. Anyway, I had recently gotten my first in the shingles vaccination series (yes, I am very old ha ha) and had an appointment for my second one about 5 days prior to me writing this review. Anyway, over the course of several days, the CVS app informed me that the pharmacy canceled my appointments for some unknown reason. I tried several times to reschedule but was unable, also for unknown reasons (see below). Trying to get a human in any CVS store was nearly impossible, so I started calling local pharmacies and found Mariners right in the backyard of my workplace. So convenient. Then, the sun arose on a new approach as to how I was treated: I phoned Mariners Pharmacy and talked to a human. I was able to get an appointment on the same day for this vaccination. Easy enough. I showed up on time and the staff there discovered for me that was an apparent glitch in approval because CVS had already billed insurance for TWO vaccinations (even though I had only had one) and of course my insurance would only pay for a single two-part series. Medicare Insurance had already been charged by CVS for two doses even though I only received the first one (there is a several weeks to months required interval between the two shots). Frowny-face indeed. Anyway, the Mariners team really took considerate care to determine what the issue was, to phone Medicare and to spend time on the phone explaining to my insurer that I had actually not received the second dose. They were able to ultimately obtain approval for payment of the second dose. This is the kind of service and caring that people used to get before most businesses in our lives became corporatized. I have only good things to say about this pharmacy and would consider changing all my prescriptions to them (thankfully, I only have one). I checked their hours and they are open every day except Sunday so are very convenient. The parking lot is easily accessible off Hospital Road and Placentia. I really felt they went "above and beyond" for me, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Mariners Pharmacy for their service, humanity and caring. It is also a wonderful thing to support a local business of high-quality. Bravo! FYI, the vaccination shot was painless. :)
