Had a very good experience here, despite the wait. Showed up at about 7:45 and was second person waiting for 8 am opening time. The check in process was easy. Despite being there when door opened, the first patient wasn't seen until 8:27, so almost 30 minute wait to be seen. There was a note on the glass stating that there was an employee shortage, so there would be a wait. There was only one PA there and no X-ray tech. With all that being said, the employees were very friendly and professional. The PA that saw me for my knee injury was wonderful (Justin) and he didn't rush me and really explained my injury. I definitely recommend this office - be prepared that there may be a wait but the courteous and helpful staff was very much appreciated! read more

After my evaluation, I respectfully provided verbal feedback to the Physician Assistant while waiting for a copy of my treatment summary. During this time, I was unexpectedly approached by a man who identified himself as the 'Manager of Physician Practices.' [[HIGHLIGHT]]He projected an immediately unapproachable and authoritarian attitude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He escorted me just a few feet away from the front desk to a semi-private area, where he began questioning me in a harsh, condescending tone. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt intimidated and repeatedly asked him to return to his station and to leave me alone--requests he blatantly ignored.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Without my consent, he took possession of my personal identification and medical documents, stating that he had the authority to make copies for his records, despite my lack of authorization. When I objected and asked for my treatment summary--a standard patient right--he refused. I attempted to rationalize this by mentioning "insurance fraud," which made no logical sense in the context. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of resolving the issue, he raised his voice, ordered me to leave the premises, and stated that my treatment statement would be mailed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This level of hostility and lack of professionalism is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a medical setting. Under fundamental Patient Rights, his behavior appears to violate the following standards: - Right to respectful and dignified treatment - Right to receive a complete explanation and copy of your treatment plan and discharge documents - Right to privacy and protection of personal health information (HIPAA) - Right to refuse any unauthorized use or copying of your personal documentation Regardless of his position or education (as advertised on his business card), his behavior was intimidating, unethical, and in clear violation of professional medical conduct. No one seeking medical attention should be treated with such disregard. I hope MedAccess leadership addresses this situation immediately. Went in due to breathing problems/respiratory illness. The woman at the front desk noticed immediately, and I was sent to the back where they took care of me in a very quick/urgent manner. I appreciate Justin and every one of the staff members here for treating me kindly, and helping me feel comfortable as I am a very anxious person. This walk in urgent care clinic is located on Capital Blvd, next to sheetz in Youngsville. Hubby usually gets seen at the VA where he works, but needed a place near home. From check in to seeing the nurse, PA and getting X-ray, took about an hour. Not bad at all. The Nurse took vitals and history and all were very professional and took their time. The PA answered all our questions and quickly diagnosed pneumonia after X-ray and prescribed meds. I would definitely come back if the need arises. Hopefully not soon! read more

The staff: check in, nurse and PA were all very nice. However, I went there to resolve my medical issue. I know my symptoms were unique but I expected more than a flu & Covid test. After all, I had no symptoms of having any sort of symptoms related to such. So they released me (after all, it was almost closing time & obvious they wanted to go home) saying it's probably just another virus. This Fast Med in Youngsville is the best urgent care around the whole area Including Wake Forest. Jason the PA C over there is top notch. He listens carefully and very observant and attentive. I have been sick since 12/15. I didn't spike a fever until 12/24 (lucky me). I woke up today and still had a fever. I tried to go to the minute clinic and threw no fault of theirs, sat there for two hours. My friend texted me to check and see how I was doing a subsequently recommended this urgent care. I drove here, filled out paperwork, was seen and discharged before my estimated time to be seen at urgent care. The staff was friendly and listened to my concerns. I felt my exam was thorough. Sadly had to show up right before closing but nobody gave me a dirty look and happily said they would take me and not to worry about it. The doctor was very nice and thorough and had me out the door in less than 30 minutes with me taken care of and prescriptions sent off to my pharmacy. The rest of the staff was very nice and made me feel welcome even though I was a jerk for showing up at the last minute! Picture this, beautiful *almost* spring day. You start up the grill and dig out some freezer burnt burgers to toss on the grill. Man, they're stuck together! So you grab the closest knife and try to wiggle them apart when- BAM pow you slice your thumb. After applying pressure, it's still bleeding so you dial up the closest urgent care to see if you can avoid the ER. The woman who answered the phone kindly asked a few questions about the cut to make sure they could assist me. She also let me know what time they closed and said they would be happy to help! I arrived with my 3 yr old in tow, they quickly took my information and even had the PA take a peek so they didn't waste my time or money before taking me back. Very brief wait and I was set right up with a smiling and friendly PA, a medical assistant and another medical professional. Oh boy the treatment! No judgements, their top concern was my comfort. I will mention... the stretcher would not lock. Having worked in a hospital and medical field, this could've been dangerous if I were elderly or handicapped. But I was ok! The staff all made sure I stayed safe and didn't fall or anything. The PA looked closely, cleaned the cut and asked all pertinent questions. Stitches were determined to be needed and I was not an easy patient getting shots of lidocaine- ouch! But the PA had me resting my arm and even found the perfect arm rests to assure I was comfortable. A tetanus shot in the arm, 4 stitches in my thumb and I was on my way. I live very close to this urgent care and have been before for those stubborn colds. Each time I'm impressed with the care. They're kind, down to earth and quick. This place is awful. Even if you're dying I don't recommend it. Best to go to duke primary care up the road. I went in for some lab work. Not only did they lose my urine sample and never send it to the lab but they didn't call me and admit it for 11 days. I was supposed to have my results in 3 days and although I called every week they didn't tell me about the issue. Then I spoke with billing and they assured me I wouldn't be billed. One month later I was billed $94 for the office visit even though I never received the service I was there for. Terrible customer service. read more

This place is always a ghost town and now I know why. I walk in, there's no one at the front desk, no one hears me come in, and I have to do the awkward cough to get someone's attention. The receptionist looks at me like she's seen a ghost and tells me she didn't know anyone was here. Clearly.... we go through the checkin process ( she could have been a robot with as much personality she had but that's just a side note) and I pretty much immediately go back. A guy in a faded tshirt leads down 2 hallways while the other employee stare at me like I'm an actual intruder. He takes my vitals (he was nice enough) and goes about his business until a guy who looks like he's still in high school comes in and discusses my situation. Just to make things clear I had a previous visit about a month ago in which I had a fractured nose (PA also although she was way better than this guy) He knew nothing about my prior visit and seemed perplexed that I was even sitting in front of him. This is the second time in a row I have seen a PA instead of a doctor and it will be my last. I have a serious issue which has my face swollen like I was stung by a whole hive of bees and it has honestly been one of the most painful things I've ever been through. I described it as if someone stuck a needle in my face and left it there. I hear it could be this and it could be that but let's NOT do imaging to find out. I'll write you an rx for an antibiotic ( not a mention of pain meds - not even an NSAID as I haven't eaten in days bc of the pain ) and you can go. Thanks for practically nothing ( I give a star for the antibiotics- I guess ). I will definitely go out of my way to the urgent care on Main Street from now on. The quick service is great but not at the expense of quality health care. I work hard for my insurance and co pay and expect to see an actual doctor when seeking treatment. From sign in to discharge, everyone I encountered was pleasant,,kind, and efficient. I want to include that I was always able to speak to my dad's nurse or doctor when I called on the telephone from New York. The medical employee was always specific, answered any of my questions, extremely courteous, friendly and compassionate. I appreciated this since this was not the same type of care or medical staff characteristics and traits expressed by my father's previous hospital center in Florida. My wife and child have both been there within the last week. Service is great, staff is great. My 2 year old was less than receptive to the staff, we were at emergency room a week ago where she got a shot so she was throwing a fit. They were very compassionate and understanding. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star is because of the cost. Our previous doctor was A-plus. Unfortunately they moved to the other side of raleigh. Since we are self pay(uninsured) they had a sliding scale and visits are only $50 after you are an established patient. This place is $120 per visit. I went to the MedAccess in Youngsville, NC to be seen for acute abdominal pain. After the front desk lady takes my information, she tells me I cannot be seen...So I asked why, she replies that they have tried to collect unpaid bills in the past (2 1/2 years ago). I replied these were discharged through my Chapter 7 bankruptcy and should not be a reason for refusal and discrimination. Told her that I now have medical insurance and would be willing to pay for the portion my insurance will not cover. She said the only way they would see me is if i pay the entire cost as a self-pay patient. I replied to her, ok but you still will submit my visit to my insurance so I can get refunded right? She said no, we cannot do that. You have to pay, or we can't see you with a demeaning tone. Like I was totally a nobody, disgusting and not worth her time. I have 3 issues with this 1 - It is illegal for a physician to refuse to provide care 2- It is also unethical to discriminate a patient for prior Bankruptcy after it has been discharged by the court and been 2 1/2 since. 3- It is unethical to refuse to file or provide the necessary info to a patient who has insurance, so they get the coverage they are entitle to. Even more so if the patient is paying up front. The patient is entitled to submit the service to his/her insurance and get reimbursement. Not only the front desk lady said they could not see me, but I had to ask why. Only then the option of self-pay was provided to me. Then she refused to file the service to my insurance even though the facility is in my insurance network and accepts my insurance provider. And then to make things worse, right after I tell her that this was messed up, she turns around and shouts out loud to the rest of the staff seating nearby and everyone else in the waiting room " You all hearing me say we can see her if she self-pay right?" So humilating since oayment was never the issue, I was willing to pay, all I needed is for them to either file the service to my insurance or to provide me with the insurance info I would need so I can file my insurance to get the refund for the portion my insurance covers!!! I walked out untreated for my pain, totally feeling belittle, small and completely humiliated...Sometime people have no other choice than to file for bankruptcy. This is never something people are proud of or wants to do...Plus in my case it was 2 1/2 years ago...For this matter my fico score is well above 700 now...so as you can see, my capacity to pay for the service was never the issue. Yet I was discriminated by the front desk lady. I was willing to pay the darn self-pay but after her shouting I felt so embarrased, I decided to leave... I had to drive to a different clinic to get treated. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. They are rude, discriminatory, disrespectful, judgemental and unwilling to work with you. I sure hope this lady never finds herself in a financiall binder where she would later suffer the judgment of others like she did not me. read more
