I had a horrible experience. I arrived for my 3pm appointment and so did another girl. We were booked at the same time and only 1 employee. This place is so ghetto. I went in for a consultation and the "esthetician" didn't want me to ask any questions. She rushed though my treatment without explaining and hurting my face. I inquired about another treatment and she said she didn't know what that was. Lol mam it's on your website! After rushing through the treatment she put a mask. The mask crumbled down my face and got in my hair and hoodie! I kept asking what was going on and she kept saying all is fine. Well clearly it is not fine. Then she was so rude and told me to leave because I was asking to many questions. She even turned the lights off on me. I really kept it professional until the end but I will never come back. Used my classpass credits on a mani+pedi here. Had some units to use up before the month ended so I used 16 credits on this. They are located on the 1st floor of a residential community, their studio is actually pretty nice and relaxing. Unfortunately the mani and pedi they gave me was just not up to par. The receptionist was really nice but was a bit flustered when another customer and I showed up at the same time. Seemed like there may have been a bit of confusion on our reservations but she sorted it out. She did the facial for the other customer, and she told me that the nail person was coming in shortly and had me seated in the nail room first. Literally only fits one person, so I think they can only accommodate one nail appointment at a time. The rest of the rooms seem like they are for massages/facials. Not sure if she was late, or called in last minute because they were unaware of the appointment, but she arrived maybe 10 minutes late? She also didn't speak any english at all so it was a lot of hand signaling (which was totally fine, but just FYI). No biggie she was a bit late, but you could tell she was rushed throughout the whole appointment. At first it may seem like it's an OK job, but upon further inspection, you can really see the results of her rushing the paint job. On every finger, I'm seeing mini air bubbles everywhere, and two of my fingers have already chipped a few hours later. Don't really know how clean their tools are either, they are definitely not coming out of any vacuum sealed packages. The callous remover was super suspect and looked pretty old :( Pretty disappointed, hopefully it's not always like this as again, their space is pretty nice! read more

I booked a manicure and pedicure through ClassPass at this location. My appointment was confirmed by email. I traveled from Brooklyn to the UWS for this appointment and I arrived on time. After waiting in the reception area to be greeted a woman comes from a room in the back and we have the following conversation: Her: Hi, yes, you're here for a 2PM appointment. Me: Yes, a manicure & pedicure. Her: Ok. We have to reschedule. She then proceeds to tell me that this isn't her problem, her boss should have rescheduled me and there's nothing she could or would do because she was working solo today. My appointment was at 2PM. They've been open since 10AM. She clearly knew I was coming, she should have called me herself since she was the only one there before I trekked an HOUR from Brooklyn. Now I have to deal with ClassPass to make sure I'm not charged a cancellation fee. Completely unprofessional and terrible customer service. read more

I arrive for my 5pm appt around 4:50 and wasn't seen until after 6. One aesthetician was working and she was also covering the front desk. At 6ish right when I was about to be taken to a room, another client showed up. She ended up leaving. While in my facial, I believe five other clients arrived and were waiting. I could hear them calling the owner to complain and then the owner texted/called my aesthetician so that my service was interrupted 4-5 times. The opposite of relaxing. The aesthetician gets 5 stars. She was friendly, skilled, and great at her job despite being pulled in a million directions. They offered a free mini manicure while I waited which was nice. I'm glad I didn't have plans until later because I left around 7:30pm! read more

Had an amazing birthday gift at this wonderful place. I was treated extremely well. I loved the new product line EMK that was offered to me. My appointment was perfect from start to finish. Anna was fabulous with my skin. I felt glammed and relaxed at the same time. Highly recommend. They are a very busy spa and its amazing to see them flourish. Be sure to book your appointments ahead. I am frequent traveller between nyc & florida and i love coming to this spa for relaxation. Been a client for over 2 years now. I love the ambiance and professionalism displayed by all members of their team. I always get mini facial with Hydrafacial combination as its so amazing to my skin. My face is clean and refreshed. Followed by laser genesis which is my absolute favorite to shrink the pores and minimize the sun damage and fine lines. I think anyone who is exposed to some sun has to have this treatment. Love getting manicures as the room fits only one client at a time so you are not overcrowded and always meticulous work. And recently i tried Anna for my facial she is an absolute doll. With amazing hands and extensive knowledge. I used to do my facials with Marta but after they left i decided to try Anna and will definitely be back! Overall excellent service. read more

I researched too many spas to count and was disappointed with everything I learned about them. They were either lacking in cleanliness, customer service or shockingly code of ethics. I used to get a facial every month until I stopped the routine and my face has suffered because of the lack of attention and care. I went to Bliss Spa (49th & Lex - overrated) or Bloomies in Chelsea (was a great place years ago but I hear its horrible now). So after reading depressing and underwhelming reviews I asked around and was referred to MedAesthetique, specifically the beautiful Joanna. I had a great experience and my face was noticeably cleaner and vibrant immediately after my appointment, immediately. So, I would say money well spent! I will rejuvenate my old routine and start to go on a monthly basis for a facial. It looks like they're in the middle of furnishing/putting finishing touches on their new location. The place is "aesthetically" pleasing and the staff is friendly and welcoming from introduction to the goodbyes. Comparing Spas: I read how other spas are aggressive with pushing products and that was not the case at MedAesthetique. It was an all-around pleasurable experience. I also read in other reviews that getting extractions were too painful due to the esthetician being very rough using fingers or tools. My eyes were closed but I believe Joanna used her fingers (with gloves) and the occasional tool for assistance. There were slightly painful moments but I could tell it was necessary due to that difficult spot because other areas of my face didn't receive the same pressure. Joannas approach left my face looking better than it has looked in a while. Thank you so much Joanna! You should know: They are located in a large residential/commercial building on the first floor passed reception, to the right. Took me a minute to find it. Make sure to have a cash tip ready to put in an envelope for your esthetician after your appointment. Get ready for a good experience and livelier skin! read more

I booked a manicure and pedicure through classpass and could not be more disappointed. The place is small with no air conditioning. There is no massage chair. They do the pedicure in a normal chair. The woman didn't even massage my hands or feet. She also messed up the shape of my nails. When I asked if she was going to do a foot scrub she told me that they usually do quick pedicures for class pass members, so she won't be able to spend a lot of time on my nails if she did a foot scrub. I also don't think the materials were clean. I didn't see a sanitizing machine. I highly discourage people from coming here. read more

As an update to my original review, management got in touch right away to explain that due to unforeseen personal circumstances the manager wasn't present on the day of my appointment to ensure that things ran smoothly. I was offered a complimentary service to compensate for my first experience. I understand that life happens and I appreciate that they cared enough to make things right. As a tip, it sounds like Class Pass has some glitches of their own that lend to the scheduling mix ups so perhaps you just want to book on your own. read more

I had a microneedling session with Nino. The spa looks nice, cozy and clean. The stuff is very friendly. Nino took time on cleaning my skin before the treatment. She did a very good job. What a phenomenal facial experience with the lovely Marta which I had the pleasure of meeting!!! I I made an appointment for a facial and hydro facial because I have heard so many great reviews.. and clearly wasn't disappointed. My face looked amazing and felt like a babies bottom! The over all experience from the meet and greet to the actual service was hands down one of the best I have received in a while! The place was ultra clean which I'm a big stickler. It's a nice little spa located on the 1st floor of a residential building. I had a facial and laser hair removal done by Tina and was very happy with her. She was professional, clearly knew what she was doing and did a great job on my skin during facial, I felt the results lasted for a while after. MedAesthetique is a boutique spa that is small but aesthetically pleasing. It's quiet and very relaxing. I purchased a Swedish massage for the Spa Week special and was beyond satisfied. My masseuse, Magdalena, was AMAZING! She was nice and attentive. She applied just the right amount of pressure and tackled my tension filled areas, which mainly are my shoulders and lower back. Prior to meeting her, I had had bad experiences getting facials where my sensitive skin would break out and I'd leave feeling like I was robbed due to pushy sales tactics. Then I met Marta. My skin has never looked better - in fact, people routinely ask me what products I use since they see the results of Marta's handiwork. Marta is a true professional: she takes the time to figure out what products are best for you instead of pushing specific treatments, and is warm, gentle and caring. She also does an incredible job waxing. The entire staff at MedAesthetique will take excellent care of you and won't give you the nasty pushy sales treatment. This is a boutique spa - not a factory. Upon reading the glowing reviews here, I booked a facial.The lady who booked my appointment was polite and professional, and said that I could choose the type of facial after the aesthetician sees my skin (which is what I had asked for). I got there early, and got none of the welcome drink or warmth that is mentioned here. I was extremely thirsty and wanted a glass of water and needed to use the restroom as well. But right away, the aesthetician whisked me into the facial room and started asking me what I wanted. I had to interrupt her and ask for water and a restroom break. Her explanation of the various types of facial was poor/incomplete and was not the same as what the website had. I was very confused. I picked one based on a partial understanding and she asked me to get ready. As I was lying down on the bench, she confused me again (glad I checked the price at that point) saying that it would be $200. I was shocked, since the treatments I had wanted only added up to about $120. After repeated back and forth, she left me to check with her manager (who was not on location so she had to call her) and it took another 20 minutes just for this as I was lying down waiting. Finally, she got started with the facial we both settled on. The facial itself was done in 20-25 minutes and was nothing like the usual 45min- 1 hour facials I have had elsewhere. The aesthetician was polite but the haggling kind of experience (mostly because of pricing confusion) had left me partially drained at this point. When it was time to pay, she took for ever to type in my name and card number on to her computer, and it was evident that she had no idea how to charge a credit card. She also asked "what about the tip?" which I planned to give (as I always do), but irked me. The payment process took 10 whole minutes. I sympathize with the fact that she has was new, learning on her job, and spoke very little English, and that is ok. I am annoyed at the incompetence of the management to have someone on site to help her and make it easy for the customers. The effect of the facial itself on the skin remains to be seen (I'll know in a week), but the experience was anything but relaxing. read more

Feline's day spa (later called Falene's) closed, but thank goodness some of their best aestheticians moved over to MedAesthetique. I have been seeing Joanna, Lucyna, and Marta for over fifteen years. My skin is complicated - aging with acne. I just had a facial with Joanna and it was amazing. Great advice, calming affect, talented at all things facial - such as extractions, etc. The space is small, but the facial and waxing rooms are larger than they were at Feline's. Marta is a wonderful facialist - she is so careful and thorough and I leave looking MUCH better than when I arrived. Magdalena is a fabulous massage therapist - one of the best I have been to. The spa itself is very welcoming - everyone is very nice and it is a cosy and pleasant space. Seems like they are still trying to get up and running as they are new but I am sure they will work out the kinks and Marta and Magdalena will not disappoint you I am sure! read more
