What a great local pharmacy! Such a nice change from the old chain pharmacies. Unlike the others they wont take 3567843 years to fill 2 prescriptions for you. The Pharmacists will not give you 2 word answers whenever you have a question or a concern regarding a prescription or over the counter medicine. They will give you a thorough answer to actually help you understand Service is definitely better than the other pharmacies I used to get my drugs from previously. I came to Medcenta Pharmacy for a covid test. I called the pharmacy and was so happy that they had openings for the next day! I was able to easily schedule an appointment for the test for the following day during my lunch break. As soon as I arrived, the pharmacy technician came out to the parking lot with my test in hand. I did the self test and the technician came back and picked it up. I have had to take covid tests for my job for the past couple years and this was by far the best experience I have had! They explained to me when I originally called that I don't need to provide any insurance or pay as this is a state program. The whole thing took less than 5 minutes and I had my results the next day. Although I'm insured with Kaiser, I will only be going to Medcenta for all my Covid-19 testing from now on. The store also looked really organized with fully stocked shelves (from my car window) for over the counter items which is really convenient compared to franchise drugstores who are sometimes out of much needed items especially now with Covid still around. I have been using Medcenta since they opened. We are a family of 5 and 3 of us are on daily medication. We use to go to CVS for all our refills and new prescriptions. What a difference! At CVS we were just a number. Paul at Medcenta knows us by name, reminds us when it's time for refills and will go above and beyond when needed. Not only is this the friendliest, kindest pharmacy, they are the quickest! I drop off my RX and by the time I'm done picking up my dry cleaning from next door, my prescription is ready!! I will never go back to CVS EVER! Oh, and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Paul sends all of us birthday cards with a little birthday treat! CVS has never done that! I happened upon this pharmacy totally by chance. When I inquired about vaccines I learned that with no wait whatsoever I could take care of it. The staff and pharmacist were knowledgeable and very comfortable to speak with. Forms were completed and the vaccine was administered in a comfortable environment. I love this little gem of a pharmacy! These days it's so hard to find small, privately owned pharmacies and this one brings me back to an older time, a time when owners worked behind the counter (as they do here) and there were barely any waits. You can park right in front and you don't have to walk behind a huge, long building to get your meds (like at most large pharmacies). It's quick, easy, and painless, and now they deliver! I can't say enough great things about this place. First of all let's talk about all other pharmacies. You walk in, wait, they can't find your prescription, you wait, they ask your info like 4 times and maybe they have it ready. Not at Med Centa. I have only been in a handful of times. They know my name and ask how my kids are. Then they have my perception ready. If they don't have it, they offer to deliver it the next day. They ask if I want the rest of my family's stuff too. He even asked if he could set my husband up to receive at the same time as mine so we don't have to come twice. Seriously thoughtful and knowledgeable about anything I need. Nothing like a family owned pharmacy where I feel like the owners care more about my well being and less about filling their pockets. Don't let the small and intimate feel of this pharmacy fool you. Paul and Amy are a breath of fresh air when it comes to answering questions and filling prescriptions in a timely manner. I've never had an issue where my prescriptions weren't ready which was a constant problem at cvs. They are also very knowledgeable on homeopathic and herbal medicine if that is a direction you like to go in. My dad had surgery in La and we asked them to send the prescriptions over to this pharmacy since it is so close to where I live. By the time we got home, his prescriptions were ready and they had it delivered to us right away. It was the most pleasant experience I have ever had dealing with a pharmacy. No waiting in line and no wait. They truly made it convenient. Fabulous! I can't say enough about the customer service and the knowledgeable owner Paul and his pharmacy! I wanted to switch my Mom's perscriptions from Walmart to Medcenta. I gave him my Mom's info and he took care of it easily. I needed a neublizer and he didn't have it in stock but got it for me the next day! I had an infection and he filled the perscription and delivered it! He even carries my brand of supplements, Standard Process, and orders what ever I need and has it in 1-2 days. He said if I wanted it on a regular basis he would keep it in stock for me. He takes all insurances too. I am so glad he opened so close to home. Lucky me! read more
