I don't usually leave a review BEFORE actually having work done, but I was really impressed with these guys today. I just stopped by without an appointment and was able to ask some general questions and inquire about future repair work. I spoke with Jake who acknowledged me right away in front of the repair area. He was very helpful, straightforward, and seemed very honest. It was a great first impression and I'm sure I will be in for work on my car soon. I would like to comment to my past posting. The tires were definitelly not worn out. the tire had small leak and it took 12 hours 12 hours to be partially deflated. It was only small nail leak. We were stuck and the owner could just offer to order cheaper tires since this is a Corrola. I see them for less than $100.00 and i did ask for cheaper tires. We were stuck and we feel we were rippes off We not rich people and we paid 450$ for 2 tire replacement. Really? This many bad reviews for the cheapest station in the small town of Medfield. Wow. Anyway, this wouldn't be my number one choice for a gas station, but for Medfield, it's fine and is the best, solely in the small town of Medfield. Definitely lowest prices on gas, and also full service! Staff seem friendly and they offer inspections as well as auto repair. Definitely a fine place for a yearly inspection. No, there isn't a convenience store, but I'd rather not be tempted with buying anything overpriced if there was one, especially when Shaw's is visible from here! Since the overall rating is poor, 5 stars, otherwise this would be 4. Pretty good place. Don't listen to all of the other bad reviews. read more

I used to be a loyal customer of 8 years, both for gas, inspection stickers for 3 vehicles, and the occasional small repair. When I had new tires mounted on spotless aluminum rims for my Mercedes, they scratched one of them badly, then claimed that the scratch had been there before. There was not even the slightest attempt to right the situation, and I was sent my way with the scratched rim and without a receipt for the work. Needless to say, the place will not see me again, and I can only agree with Jon S.: Do not go there. read more

We just bought a car from Claude at Medfield Sunoco and he went above and beyond our expectations. We were a bit skeptic to purchase from him as we are from the North Shore so we didn't know much about Claude or his business but he was great. Great communication, moved the car to another one of his stations so that we could more easily take it for a pre purchase inspection, really nice coworkers, great price for the car that we bought and he was totally reasonable in our negotiations. We found the car posted on Craigslist and it was way better in person than in the photos. Overall it was a great experience and we're glad we found Medfield Sunoco. read more

These guys are a bunch of con artists! I went there to get my car inspected. They tried to tell me windshield wipper fluid in order to pass inspection. The only problem: my car had plenty and I used it right before I got inspection. The guy made me buy some but never put it in the car, and the inspection passed. After questioning him for some time, he admitted there was actually fluid in the car and gave me my money back. AWFUL experience. I went to get my car inspected here. They first not only got oil and crap all over my leather interior.. But also failed my car due to visually looking at my exhaust and saying "oh that looks like it's loud" I'm sorry, when did Massachusetts SAFETY and EMISSIONS have anything to do with the volume level of your exhaust? They don't have a meter hooked up to the exhaust that tells them a decibel level or any standards to go by it's just all "hmm ... I think thats gonna be loud I'm not going pass this car" However the rest of the car passes for emissions and safety. These guys are straight crooks. I will take business elsewhere. read more

I'm finding it hard to believe that I go to the same place as the other people who reviewed. I have been going here for about 10 years and have never had anything but friendly and honest service. They have been working on the 3 cars we have had for our household and always give me reasonable quotes before doing the work and explain exactly what needs to be done. When we brought my husband's truck in for tuneup and service they called before doing any work to explain that we likely would not want them doing any work because their was some major body rust and the vehicle likely wouldn't last longer. He has changed out a few of his workers over the last couple of years so maybe they were the issue but I have to say multiple people there have helped me and being a female I have never had an issue that other places in the past have given me thinking I know nothing about cars. read more

(9 times out of 10) they beat the competition and also provide you with a loaner car during service if needed for free. I support this family business and my friends and family do to ... Do not go here. I stopped by for an oil change and one of the guys told me that I absolutely needed to have some other work done. I agreed. Later on, I found out from a friend that it wasn't necessary at all. Feel like I've been robbed. If you even bother to stop by this place the people here will say/do whatever they can to convince you to spend more money. Do not give this place more money. Not an honest business. read more

BUYER BEWARE! One of the owners/mechanics told me that a part on my car needed to be fixed immediately and my car was not safe to drive. I took my car to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion and he said that there was no safety issue and my car was okay to drive. The repair, that was unnecessary, would have cost me hundreds of dollars. NEVER GO HERE!!!! I brought my car in for an inspection sticker. I was called about 10 minutes after I dropped it off. The mechanic told me that my two front tires were completely bald and needed to be replaced immediately. I told them I would bring the car to the dealership. They put a REJECTION sticker on my car. A half hour later I went to the dealership. They measured the treads on the two front tires. They both read 4/32nd which is still safe to drive on. I went back to Medfield Sunoco and asked why the other place would pass my car and they would fail it for the same thing. They couldn't answer me. The mechanic tried to tell me that the place where I brought the car would lose their license for passing the car. I requested to speak to the owner and of course he wasn't there. They were completely rude and unprofessional. They were just trying to get me to buy new tires from them. read more

These men should lose their license to inspect vehicles. This place is nothing less than a rip off con-artist repair shop. I went in for an inspection, after filling my truck with gas at their station. The mechanic came out and told me I had a headlight out (I know I didn't, I tested all my lights before I left this morning because I know mechanics just love to take advantage of women for stupid stuff like that). I told him that was impossible. They were working just fine 6 miles ago when I checked all my lights at home. Of course, he had already put the new inspection sticker on. Which meant if I left without a headlight, they would take the sticker back. When I asked how much for the headlight he said $35. Are you kidding me???!?? I've changed my own headlights before. It doesn't cost $35. Valvoline doesn't even charge that much to change a headlight. I will NEVER give this place one ounce of business again. read more
