They played Christmas music the whole time, listening to a dog bark jingle bells is not what I want when eating a bagel sandwich. The service was slow. My iced coffee was barely drinkable, it was watered down coffee. I've never had to put sugar in a mocha iced coffee until now. Bagel sandwich wasn't too bad, no complaints, just plain food. If you are on Providence, near Rose Tree Park or downtown Media, please help support this business. I tried it for the first time today. The staff was very helpful and the food and coffee were delicious! My husband and I shared a chicken salad sandwich on sesame sourdough (super moist bread), pretzel roll filled with chocolate (again, super moist), and a slice of lemon polenta cake. All made fresh, on the premises. Oh, and the Jewish Apple Cake sample I tried was amazing! The coffee, which is self-serve, is roasted by individuals with disabilities who are trained by the business as roasters. I tried a light/dark mix-blend, for which a portion of the proceeds also goes to veterans. If you prefer a latte or other specialty drink, you can order it at the counter. What a gem! I found this place just by yelping for a coffee place near me. It is fairly new so I didn't even realize there was a place right on Rt. 252. I am so glad I stopped by. It is an adorable place. All the cooking is fresh and done on premises. Even the bakery; even the bread! I had a latte and delicious scone - made with fresh cranberries. My companion had a breakfast special which was fresh and yummy. I will definitely be coming back for lunch because the person next to me had a brisket sandwich which looked mouthwatering. My only comment would be the seating was fine but could be a little more inviting/comfortable. I will spread the news on this delightful local eatery/coffee shop. read more

This place has potential. I stopped by after driving past this place. I got a breakfast sandwich. The egg and cheese in the sandwich were cold :-(. The bread on the other hand was great. This place could be great. When you walk in the main store the showcase was empty. All their baked goods were on the counter but you need to have the showcase full to draw people in. I have hope for this place but it needs some major direction. Hopeful. Great location. read more

I really want to like this place. However, every time I go there's an issue. Not even including the TINY parking lot that fits maybe 3 cars. The first time I visited, I went in looking for a speciality coffee like a cafe mocha or cappuccino. They do not make speciality coffees, aside from homemade cold brew that is quite good. Rather, they have self serve carafes of hot coffee with self serve sugar and cream (no simple syrup though for the cold brew). Their name is media bean company so I assumed coffee is the main thing they sell. I guess this is not the case. Disappointing, but I figured they do have a lot of baked goods that are tasty (although I believe they get their quiches and some of the other food items they sell from DiFabio's, so I'm not sure how much is made by media bean co.), so I won't come back for a coffee, I'll get breakfast. Second visit is on a Saturday. I decide to order breakfast to go. I get the croque madam and P. Gets this epic breakfast sandwich with all the breakfast meats in the world on it. It takes over a half hour to get these to go and there really isn't anywhere to wait, aside from taking up a table that someone who is dining in would use. Both orders were delicious, but with the long wait I decide if I get breakfast from there again I'll order ahead of time so I don't have to wait in the shop while they make it. I call to order on a Friday and find out that they don't make either of those items during the week, only on the weekends. Ugh. Finally today's visit my husband and I decide were going to just get 2 cold brews and if they don't have simple syrup, we have it at home. We are informed that they aren't sure if they have enough cold brew for 2 orders. They were finally able to make it work after deliberating for 10 minutes about it and it's not even good. It tastes watered down and for $4.50 each, is wildly overpriced for the quality. I can't give them any more chances unfortunately. There are other places in the area that are not so incredibly difficult to buy a coffee or breakfast from that I will go there instead. read more

I know I'll be a regular at Media Bean Co. They have good coffee, the environment is cute, service is nice, and they have delicious breakfast sandwiches. Though they don't have the biggest selection for breakfast, they just opened so I don't blame them and plus you can customize your breakfast sandwich in terms of bagel, meat and cheese. They also have a great purpose of helping people with disabilities find employment. The nice service, good food and coffee, and purpose make you want to support them (and it's well deserved!). This place is a great addition to Media I'll be coming back often. read more

What a great find! This little place on 252 is just what you're looking for at breakfast or lunch. Great coffee and fresh breads/sweets baked right on the premises, hearty entrées, cozy atmosphere, plus recommendations & friendly service from our new friend Todd. We ate on the back veranda under the awning. For appetizer, we split a creamy mac & cheese topped with shredded smoked beef brisket. I got the smoked chicken salad on house focaccia; My friend got a MASSIVE brisket wedge salad and lemon polenta cake for dessert. Generous portions = leftovers galore. We'll be back! read more

This is my favorite place to stop into for a quick bite. It is obvious that everything is homemade with quality ingredients. Everyone is always friendly and knows what they're talking about. If you like lots of cheese on your eggs, this is the place for you. They are cooked ahead of time & kept in a hotel pan covered (somewhat) in plastic wrap, so they are lukewarm and either dried out or soggy from the condensation. Good coffee, lattes; not so much. Media Bean is a super cute and friendly establishment with a great mission to boot. I got a cold brew coffee which was AMAZING- great flavor AND great price. Saw this place opened a couple weeks ago I pass it on my way to work everyday. Been meaning to try it but I'm usually running late so I never can. Today I did and I'm glad I did. Got the Nicky on sourdough the bread was so good and fresh and the brisket was the best I ever had loved the pickled what ever it's called they put on top too.
