This restaurant is a gem in this area, the food was well suited for a lunch meal. I am traveling into the Newtown Square area from Philadelphia for work, and I often get a very large lunch and I have to decide whether to leave the food, or have it around until dinner time. I appreciate having the right size portions so I can enjoy but not need a carry out container. The service consisted of two ladies in the dining room and they seemed to complement each other by overlapping duties, if one was busy the other would step up and help out. I have noticed that at other restaurants, one server will let another drown with duties and never help out, I enjoyed seeing the team work in action today. The restaurant itself is a well designed environment even the Men's Restroom was interesting and well kept. Today was a happy accident. Originally the search was for a place that we had assumed was in Newtown Square, but was actually in Newtown; much too far to go to for an impromptu breakfast unless we were prepared for a small trip. However, this is the circumstances that led me to Rolling Stars. Not knowing what to expect whatsoever, except that I read that they served bagels, I was blown away by the offerings and the quality of everything they have, and will definitely be coming back to try some other menu items in the near future! Not only do they make almost everything from scratch, homemade here, with the bagels obviously being their signature item, everything is fresh, bold and wonderful. They even have a daily soup that is prepared by hand, that is available all day long, even for breakfast. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that this is a game changer for me. Their coffee drinks are very good, and while not the best I have had, they are fun, tasty and they will make special additions simply if you've ask. In my case I ordered a simple cappuccino but they added little heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day since it is upcoming, even though the drink doesn't have them. The biggest problem I had was trying to decide what to actually choose from the menu because I was faced with way too many options that I wanted. I ultimately went with "the Bella", a portobello sandwich, which comes on your choice of bread, or any of their bagels, of which I chose the egg everything. Within a few bites I knew that this was easily within the top three bagel sandwiches I had ever had, and I am very critical of bagels and have had a TON of bagels and bagel sandwiches, coming from a kosher deli family. I also had the soup of the day which was a brilliant chicken noodle with awesome large macaroni elbows that just totally kicked it up. In our entire visit we only encountered one thing that was bothersome and it wasn't with my food but with our table's, and this was likely due to expectations. The jalapeño cheddar bagel is simply a plain bagel with a slice of cheddar and diced jalapeños on top. Now it was still outstandingly delicious, but I feel like we were under the impression it would be cooked into the dough and the entirety of the bagel. This wasn't the case and I can't knock them for it because it was still fantastic; aesthetics be damned! You should definitely visit here if you have not been here yet, and I can guarantee you will be coming back again and again. We have a great place in Media for bagels (mostly takeout) but here you can sit, relax and enjoy your meal. Very clean. Wide selection of bagels and muffins made fresh every day. I got the "Brooklyn Fresh Nova Sandwich" on an onion bagel and it was divine but definitely not cheap at $14.99. Included fresh nova lox, cream cheese, a bit of red onion, some lettuce, tomatoes, and capers. Yummy! Excellent service! They offer all sorts of coffee and espresso beverages (I didn't try any because I'd had my fill of coffee for the day) as well as a number of different kinds of bottled drinks. I asked for tap water and they were kind enough to give that to me which I very much appreciated. Only open a week now but it's close to my parents house and we wanted to try it out. Nice option just outside of Newtown Square. We tried a couple egg sandwiches, the pastrami sandwich, and an egg bagel. They also have omelettes and a variety of sandwiches. We ordered online which was easy from their website, and the food was ready for pickup in 10 minutes. You walk through the storefront where they have the bagels and baked goods on display for takeout, as well as coffee and drinks. The other side of the restaurant has plenty of seating as well as a nice outdoor section which will be nice in the summer. The sandwiches were all good. I'd have preferred a bit more cheese and bacon on my BAC, but it was good for around 8$. Dad got a pastrami sandwich which was quite pricey at 14$ but he enjoyed it. The only downside to the sandwiches was the toasted ciabatta we all requested. It's a very nice ciabatta roll but it wasn't toasted properly, if at all. It seemed like warm bread and we were missing that nice crunchy texture. I'm sure they will get that worked out. Staff is friendly and parking is easy in their private lot. They have a nice variety of bagels including a french toast one that I'm anxious to try, but wanted to try the egg so I could try something familiar. It was one of the best bagels I've had in this area, it was nice and fluffy and a beautiful yellow orange within. Nice addition to the neighborhood I'm sure we will be repeat customers. read more

Finally a breakfast / bagel place in Edgemont! I am so excited to see Rolling Stars expanding into this area. We love the West Chester location. This location has some nice differences. It feels like more of a small restaurant with stylish decor and family friendly. The bagel pick up and take out area is smaller than West Chester. The one nice thing about this location is there is an outdoor covered area. Can't wait for the warmer weather to go back for that. Overall quality, service, friendliness of the staff was all the same as the West Chester location. All the ingredients are fresh and the coffee is good too. Our favorite bagels are the jalapeño cheddar if you want to try something different with a bit of spice to them! read more

Very nice restaurant in Newtown Square. The bagels were large and freshly made, the fruit was delicious and the Belgian waffle was wonderful. We were seated right away and the service was very welcoming as were the nice recommendations. I had the breakfast jalapeño and cheese bagel with fried egg while my wife had the plan bagel sandwich. We shared a Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries, blueberries and bananas. The bags were so good we got a half dozen to go along with some coffee cake. Will definitely come again. New, clean business with spacious parking and conveniently located right off of West Chester Pike. The bagels are handmade, and the service is fast and friendly. I ordered four bagel sandwiches, which were ready in under five minutes from when I placed my order. The bagels are bigger than your typical bagel shop variety, too. One of the distinguishing features of the business is that there is a sit-down diner where you can enjoy a fuller breakfast on the premises. When I arrived home and ate my sandwich, it was excellent--right amount of snap, warmth, and taste in every bite. The latte that I ordered was hand crafted to perfection. I wanted to love this place but it's mediocre at best and skimpy with the meat. I've tried several things including most of the bagels, eggs benny and 2 different wraps. My current favorite is the plain Pumpernickel bagel with butter. Most bagels severally lack flavor esp their specialty ones. I've tried the wraps and they are ok but they are soo skimpy n by that I mean 2 pieces of meat that you need to pay over $4 for "extra meat" just to get a normal amount. It's just not worth it. I think I'll stick to Spread Bagel. read more
