Took my 4 month old here to get her ears pierced by Tiara the Saturday before Christmas. The location is small so be warned if you have a stroller and or and entourage. There were few seats in the waiting area and all were full. Its recommended to make an appointment especially on the weekend. Tiara was very professional, polite, and clean. She wore gloves and washed her hands every time she touched someone. My appt was at 345pm and I opted to get numbing cream for my little one. The numbing cream has to be applied 30 mins before the piercing so get here early if you want numbing. My little one doesnt like her personal space invaded so the experience was interesting- she hollered like crazy while Tiara drew dots on her ears. My husband held the baby still while Tiara used the piercing gun. The baby didnt even flinch! The price was a little high but so worth it! Highly recommended! read more

Highly recommend. We are first time parents and took our 3 month old daughter to the NYC location to have her ears pierced. The office was quiet and clean, and our nurse Tameka was patient, understanding thorough and incredibly gentle with my entire family. She explained everything, answered all of our questions honestly, and assured us that our nervousness was ok and normal. After the piercing was complete, she was patient and allowed us to soothe our daughter, and did not rush us out of the door, being that we were her last appointment for the day. She followed up twice after the appointment to make sure our daughter was doing well and to check whether we had questions. At the time of our visit the earrings we wanted were not in stock. Our baby girl (6months) got her ears pierced today and it went very smooth! Tiara was amazing, very professional and kind. We used numbing cream and waited for 40min. My daughter surprisingly cried only for a second and then she was fine! In fact she cries more when she is getting her vaccines and when seeing strangers. But she loved Tiara and her positive energy. My girlfriend and I wanted to get our ears pierced in New York for her birthday. We were apprehensive about going to a tattoo or body piercing place. I found Medical Ear piercing Clinic online and looked at the reviews before deciding on this place. I figured if Moms take there babies here for piercings it was a safe and clean clinic. We were taken right in and explained what we wanted to do by each of us piercing our right ears. We selected the temporary ear piercing we need to leave in 6 weeks to heal. Our clinician was professional, wore gloves and made sure everything was sterile. She worked on both of us to make sure the piercings were symmetrical and balanced. 1,2,3 and it was done. She gave us sterile wipes to use and instructions on keeping the piercing clean. She said she would give us a call in 6 weeks to see how we are doing. I got my ears pierced at the Manhattan office about a month and half ago. I was extremely nervous at first but Nurse Menay was very patient. She took time to address my concerns and answer all my questions which made me feel a lot more relaxed. The process didn't feel rushed at all and she didn't proceed with the piercing until I was comfortable that the markings placed on my earlobes where perfectly centered. The piercing itself was very quick... I barely felt any pain. I also liked the fact that I got to choose from a variety of earrings- I chose the silver titanium bezel. My ten year old recently had her ears pierced here and it was quick and easy. With the numbing cream she barely felt a thing. The facility was wonderfully clean. I brought my 19 month old daughter to MEPC and the experience was more than review worthy. Tiara went above and beyond to make my daughter feel comfortable by playing with her and singing songs. She was very patient throughout the entire process and even took extra time to make sure we were completely comfortable and understood each phase. This is a case where you get what you pay for. I think you can go to just any place and try to get your ears pierced, however the quality of work and of your experience seem to be related to how professional the place is. I didn't have the foresight at the time and thought it was expensive, but after talking to other people, I really appreciate everything. Especially when you think that these should last a lifetime (assuming you don't let them close up), splurging a little bit seems worth it. We had a great experience and now recommend it to everyone who asks. We had Tameka. Our daughter was about 4 months old and a little squirmy. Tameka was calm throughout the whole process, patient while we deliberated over the earrings, and when the time came amazing at what she does. The first seems relatively easy since the kid doesn't know what's coming, but once your kid understands that it's going to hurt and is already crying, I would be so nervous to attempt the second and but she still nailed it. So while it is more expensive than a mall and probably more than a pediatrician's office, this is what they do and it really shows. From a calm and quiet environment to staff who are great at what they do, it really makes for a wonderful experience for everyone. read more

1. Aftercare was not communicated clearly. 2. Numbing cream was left on my ear during piercing (I read it should be wiped off as the cream would prevent wound from healing properly especially given that you are not supposed to wash the wound for the first few days, leaving that cream on just didn't seem right) And to me the aftercare should be just as important if not more as the piercing process. I was expecting a detailed aftercare but instead the technician rushed through it while asking me to just take a look at the instruction (in the form of a few short bullet points) on a piece of card. I find it overly simplified so I did myself a favor to go on the internet and I found much more info there. Simple things like not to swim with fresh piercing or pat dry after shower or not to twist the earring etc were not communicated to me. I also bought myself a bottle of wound wash (which again was found through my own "aftercare" research) and I found it super helpful in terms of healing. read more

My husband and I walked in nervous and hesitant to pierce her ears but Tamekas patience reassured us that our daughter was in good hands. She answered all of our concerns and took her time. Tiara did an excellent job on my babies ears. I was nervous when we walked in because I hate seeing my baby in pain and she eased my fears and explained the whole process to me. She took her time marking the spot and making sure we were happy with it before the piercing. It was quick once the ears were marked. A really good experience here getting our 7 month old's ears pierced. There was a bit of a wait but expected - it is piercing ears for all ages so time and experience will vary. With that said, Tiara was very apologetic about the wait regardless. And was accommodating when it was our time. She said we can re-mark again and again until we are happy with it before the actual piercing. We appreciated that because we had a squirmy baby and didn't feel rushed by her. Tameka of Medical Ear Piercing was amazing! My daughter choose to get her ears pierced for her 10th birthday. Tameka applied numbing cream and after about 20 mins marked her lobes with a dot. Summer was able to choose from titanium or plastic (for those with metal allergies) earrings. The she loaded the piercing gun with preloaded earrings, so they were completely sterile. Summer was nervous for a minute, but Tameka told her she was just lining it up and to tell her when she was ready, and she wouldn't do it until she said. My daughter loved owning the decision and that it was up to her. That made her really trust her. It was an amazing experience and we are both very happy. I just went to get my ears pierced today so can't comment on how things go longer-term but the actual piercing experience was highly recommendable for adults who are getting their ears pierced after having had issues in the past. The building is undergoing some renovation on the ground floor so I was a little worried about the handwritten sign that say "medical ear piercing - take elevator to 2nd floor" but once I got into the actual clinic it was great. The place is very orderly and clean. The check-in is fully digital and you can get your receipt digitally too. In fact, I made my appointment online. All very easy. The woman who did the actual piercing was meticulous. Everything was clearly in new sterile packages (even the piercing gun) from the manufacturer Blomdahl, which specializes in this equipment. She also went into my background, issues I'd had in the past and then proceeded to mark the dot on my ears where the earrings would go about 10 different times as I was being extremely picky (you only get one chance to get it right). She also recommended a fully plastic earring which surprised me but given my issues with metal allergies made sense. I was skeptical about the options but the simple little faux zirconia stud looks just fine. Overall, I was really pleased with the experience and would recommend this place to other adults looking for the same service. It's a little pricey at $90 but totally worth it. read more

I would not recommend. I scheduled to get my daughters ears pierced and was just about to move forward when I sensed some reluctancy by the nurse. When asked why, she immediately responded that she could go forward but....(pause) oh "yeah it would be fine". That worried me since it was a long term commitment and if not done correctly is forever. Her reasoning for why she could not do it was not explained clearly or confidently and I felt protective of my daughter especially when the nurse became defensive in her responses. I cant comment on the piercing itself since I did not get a comfortable feeling the nurse was experienced enough to do the piercing. read more
