Shortly after arriving I was told i would be seen by the Doctor Travis Williams - he eventually came out took a good look at my hand & explained what procedure he was going to take to get me up and out of there. I was eventually called to the back where my height & weight was taken & then told to wait in the patient room. Not long after Dr.Williams came in and saw me crying due to experiencing a high volume of emotions at once & did an amazing job helping me relax so he could start my numbing and sutures. WHEN I TELL YOU - TRAVIS WILLIAMS NEEDS A PAY RAISE IMMEDIATELY & IM NOT OVER EXAGGERATING OR JOKING. GIVE THE MAN A BONUS OR SOMETHING!!!!! The attention to detail, constantly making sure I was okay, beyond kind & such a sweet soul to even encounter. He did SUCH A GOOD JOB, IM STRUGGLING TO LITERALLY PUT IT INTO WORDS. Dr.Williams is honestly god-sent & when it comes time I will have to go back 11/10/25 to get these stitches out & I plan to call up there to try and schedule an appointment with Dr.Williams because he did just such a good job . I hope everyone who comes here is able to experience this the the way I did !

Karen verified our insurance and was friendly and so helpful, the doctor had a wonderful bedside manner, and we had our prescription within an hour of leaving. Everything was seamless. They do not know what they are doing at this clinic. Made my son's condition worse!…read moreWe came with acute ear ache, lots of throbbing and piercing pain and pain to touch. The doctor tried to assure me it's TMJ and there is no evidence of ear infection when I repeatedly explained that all markers indicate swimmers ear. They insisted on rinsing out the wax that was blocking the view, even when I questioned that. After the procedure, the doctor agreed it was swimmers ear even though there was "very little redness and swelling". Went home with prescribed ear drops. No instruction on pain medication, but when I asked I was told to take Tylenol. I questioned that versus Ibuprofen and was told to take Tylenol instead. Overnight the condition worsened beyond tolerable so we went to Children's Mercy Blue Valley in the morning. Thank Goodness for that place!! By then there was visible swelling in front of the ear and the canal was so swollen that drops would not go through. CM doctor said that rinsing out was the WRONG thing to do and that we should have been prescribed oral antibiotics in addition to a heavy dose of Ibuprofen to reduce swelling. They placed an ear wick inside the ear to help distribute drops to the middle ear. They put us on oral medicine, stronger ear drops, and a strong anti-inflammatory regimen. The nurse that helped us seemed lost. She did not know how to answer simple questions and I seemed to know more about the condition and care than she did. It might have been the most incompetent nursing care we ever encountered. Our experience at this CareNow location was borderline malpractice and worth of a formal complaint to Kansas State Board of Healing Arts or Kansas Department of Health. If you have an immediate need, please spare yourself the trouble and potential worsening condition, especially with children. Take your kids where the staff is actually knowledgeable!

The staff at the front desk are always friendly and very personable. Amy, Dr. Gatz's nurse is very responsive and so understanding of my crazy work schedule as I travel, and am gone for weeks at a time. I'm very picky when it comes to health care providers, and knowing this, Dr. Gatz has always referred me to a specialist who is exactly what I'm looking for. The new location is beautiful, by the way!

Went to urgent care for a sports injury to the arm and the nurse practitioner student kept asking…read moreabout sleeping on it wrong or leaning on the elbow for an extended period of time. Really unsure what her line of questioning was, as the injury was directly related to and happened DURING a high contact sport. It made me wonder if she was even listening. I won't go into the back and forth details of the exam but if I hadn't pressed for direction on treatment or recovery I would have simply gotten an "I don't know and go see your PCP". If my PCP could have gotten me in for an appointment, I wouldn't have been at the urgent care in the first place. The worst part about the experience was the dismissiveness of the student and the lack of professionalism from the overseeing practitioner. She literally walked out of the exam in a fit. Didn't even end the exam just walked out. I wouldn't recommend this urgent care unless you are in desperate need without any other options. The only positives were the facility was clean and both the front desk and nurse were friendly.

I booked an appt for the very next morning online and got there right as they opened for my 9 am visit. There were 2 other folks in line before me who had times after mine (9:15 am), but I'm not gonna hate on them for being more punctual. So, just something to keep in mind if you like being on time. Stormy at the front desk was super nice and welcoming, too. Overall, this was an efficient visit. I don't think I waited longer than 10 mins in the lobby before I was called back for vitals. There was some time between that and actually talking to the physician, but not that long. I felt the staff were professional and cared. I was in and out of there in under an hour. After my visit was done, Stormy let me know there are other locations where I'm from in TX, so that was definitely good to know for future use. I know some reviews have mentioned shady business as far as charges go, but I can't speak to that. I was happy to see my copay was only $25. I'd say overall, it was good quality care for the experience.

I came in after a sports injury with what turned out to be a complete Achilles tendon rupture,…read moreconfirmed by MRI three days later. At my visit to Carbon Care, however, the PA diagnosed me with a partial calf muscle strain and confidently ruled out an Achilles injury without performing the Thompson test, which I found out is the standard clinical test for this exact injury. I was told to follow up in two weeks with no imaging ordered. I want to be fair, the staff was kind and the PA wasn't dismissive. However, if you're not an expert in something, it's also okay, and I believe your medical responsibility, to say you're not the expert and refer me to one. The missed diagnosis meant I left without the correct treatment plan for a serious injury, and I only got clarity by seeking a second opinion the next day. If you come in with a suspected Achilles injury, especially after a pop during push-off, I'd encourage you to ask specifically whether the Thompson test has been performed and push for immediate imaging to confirm. Don't let two weeks pass before finding out. Fortunately I had some strong advocates in my corner to push for a second opinion.
