After sitting for almost a half hour with no updates, I approached a third time. The same receptionist appeared confused, as if she had forgotten about me. Another staff member then informed me that they do not accept walk-ins after 2 PM. This was the first time anyone mentioned that policy. We had been sitting there the entire time (I was in pain) without being told we were ineligible to be seen. A simple explanation upon arrival would have prevented the wasted time. It is extremely disappointing to be actively in pain, seeking medical attention, and to be met with indifference and a dismissive apology. The lack of communication and visible concern made the experience feel even more disheartening. In a healthcare setting, patients deserve clarity, professionalism, and basic compassion.
