    Chicken, Rice, Pita, Pasta Salad
    Andrea A.

Got catered dinner from here for a class & it was quite tasty. I chose the option with chicken (very tender & could taste the char; the sautéed red onions were delicious), rice (perfectly cooked), and pasta salad (it was alright). The pita was classic. It came with a vinaigrette that I found too tangy; I wish it came with hummus. Overall, a great, healthy-feeling option. Cannot comment on service or ambiance. 7/10 would recommend!

Delivery was decently fast for a huge order I made. All the portions were amazing and the value is definitely there, just was a little confused with $60 sultan kabab dinner I'm not sure if it was all included because it didn't seem like much. But everything else was amazing and the platters were good. Only gripe was the steak was quite chewy and the kafta was okay. Get the lamb and falafel for sure

Another delicious meal at one of my regular places. Staff is friendly and find is always good. Thoroughly enjoying another meal...

Greek salad and side of hummus (come with pita bread)

Staff was so rude! There was no one behind us in line and the lady at the register was rushing us and trying to just assume what we wanted. I asked her what the difference was in the salad sizes and she rolled her eyes and, very condescendingly and with exaggerated effort, lifted up a bowl and a plate. I ordered the greek salad (too much dressing) and the hummus (terrible taste) which came with pita bread (good). She put that in and then my mom was ordering. My mom said she'd have the same thing and the cashier just stared at her and didn't put anything in. So my mom repeated the order that I just said. Jeez. They also had the news (15% news, 85% commercials) blasting on a TV in the corner. Yikes. Also it's really run down and not very clean in there.

The food came out pretty quick and I really enjoyed the beet salad. The chicken was pretty good and tender as well. However, for the price I think the portions could be a bit bigger.

Pick 3 with Fava Beans, Beet Salad and Kale Salad

First time here. Husband and I both ordered the 3 veggie platter-- lots of choices to pick from! I selected beet salad, fava beans and kale salad. Husband enjoyed falafel, fava beans and tatziki. Both platters came with pita. Kale salad was light, fava bean tomatoey and flavorful. Beet salad was my favorite. We also ordered sodas -- always appreciate a fountain drink machine that works well. Service was friendly and there was tons of eating space. We chose to eat outside because it was a beautiful day. Overall a nice place to grab lunch.

We stumbled upon this digs in the Duke university and ventured in now my wife always rewrites the menu but the accommodated her with a smile as we seated ourselves people continued to file in place orders and wait patiently. The ambiance was very authentic as you can get in the medicine city Mediterranean sounds filled the air the scraping of the grill the smell of lamb chicken filled the air. We surveyed the menu I order the gyro platter with macaroni salad then the wife order the kabob platter with mixed meats of chicken and lamb we must say the taziki sauce was flavored with dill and cucumber which was different yet delicious the lamb was a little over cooked but the seasoning on both was delicious Overall is was a nice Mediterranean departure from the norm try it you might like it the locals do!

chicken platter w/ hummus and salad. Lamb shawarma w/ fries.

Quick, yummy, and cheap This place is a fantastic lunch spot when you want some quick Mediterranean fare. They have really good platters and wraps. Of note, they have a great lunch special - any wrap/sandwich + side + drink for 10.50. We got the chicken platter with hummus and salad. The hummus was fresh and delicious with a very generous portion. Perfect in combination with the toasted pita they give you. Chicken was on the drier side, but not bad. Salad was fresh. I also got a lamb shawarma wrap with fries. The wrap was absolutely delicious - meat was juicy with a healthy amount of white sauce on top. Fries were nothing special but doesn't matter because wrap was fiyah.

I ordered delivery from here 4 stars more for the fast delivery service. I ordered the chicken kabob wrap and it had fries and pickles and yogurt sauce. It could have had more sauce and definitely more pickles. The flavor was really good and the pita bread was so fresh it really was good! Definitely will order from here again.

It's a good place for a fresh falafel sandwich. The chicken shawarma was alright but nothing special. I, however, had more expectations.

This is probably the best food for the money in the Durham area! The chicken curry is a great value! :)

I think this place is underrated. The lamb is great, as are the sides. A couple bucks cheaper it would be a 5.

The food was good but it's best to eat at the restaurant. The delivery man was unreasonably rude - and this was after a 50 minute wait!

I recently stopped in for lunch while visiting my niece at Elon and really enjoyed the experience! The atmosphere is very casual.. you place your order at the front counter and then grab a soda or iced tea from the self-serve soda fountain and a table while they prepare your plate. Our meals were freshly made and incredibly tasty. I ordered the hummus and falafel sandwich ($10), a generous portion of freshly-made falafel and regular hummus topped off with lettuce and tomato served in a pita, which was delicious and very filling. Just a heads up -- it's a little messy to eat since the hummus broke out of the bottom of the pita. Portions are reasonable for the price and the freshness of the ingredients was obvious. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the staff could be a little friendlier, but the food quality definitely makes it worth a visit while you're near campus. PRO TIP #1: Bonus points for the small sauce and pickled vegetables bar available to patrons no matter whether they grab one of the handful of small tables to enjoy their meal in-house or take their orders to enjoy elsewhere. PRO TIP #2: Mediterranean Deli doesn't have a private parking lot, but there's plenty of free on-street parking on Williamson Avenue and Lebanon Avenue.

Workers constantly watching tv, talking, or just like this last Friday, on their phones. We walked in and the man at the counter & young lady with purple hair did not look up from their phones-NOT ONE TIME. They did not greet us nor ask did we need any help. And it wasn't just us. Another customer came in and they proceeded to ignore them. This set the tone and went downhill from there. The food selection was scarce but we made do. However, the food, especially the sun dried tomato penne pasta was just bland and not good. The pasta was gummy and there was absolutely no flavor at all. We wound up tossing the food. We used to wonder why this place was never busy like the one on Chapel Hill. Now we know why-it's just not as good. Won't be returning.

I found them via TooGoodToGo and enjoyed browsing the aisles while waiting on my food. Their chicken schwarma bowl makes for the perfect, well-balanced lunch. Fluffy seasoned rice, flavorful chicken, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, and soft pickles for acidity. My only wish would be for even more garlic sauce (you can buy extra). I felt happily satisfied with my meal. I also could not resist buying the chocolate baklava at the counter, and oh man, it is good! Sweet, flaky, sticky, and chocolatey. They sell it by weight, and my 4 pieces came out to just over $7. The service here was great - eager to help without being obsequious. When I asked the lady running the register how much the pistachio cream cost ($10 a jar), she also showed me their assortment of Dubai chocolate for sale. Definitely worth a stop for an affordable lunch or your middle eastern grocery needs.

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients, especially with olive oil as a base. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner.
