Was in the area and decided to try something new. The place was neat, clean and very welcoming. The menu was hard to find at first but once I found it it was easy to understand. I decided to order a puvha bowl(spicy). I watched her prepare my food and it took no time! Prices are reasonable and the portion size isn't huge. The food was great! Full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I can't wait to try more menu items

    Mediterranean plate with chicken

Not too shabby. I got the Mediterranean plate with chicken kabob. It came with hummus, one kabob, salad, 3 dolmas, an entire piece of pita bread, and tzatziki which I swapped for tabouli. It was definitely a large amount of food and the total came to $11 after tax. The chicken was tender and juicy, and just flavorful enough. The salad was pretty liquidy - not sure if that was from the dressing or rinsed greens, but definitely wet. Hummus and tabouli were average. Pita was very soft and I prefer mine with a bit more crunch and texture, so I wasn't crazy about it. As for service, it was just before noon and the lunch rush was beginning. It's an order-at-the-counter-and-move-down-the-line-assembly style (think Chipotle), and it was all sorts of chaotic. One person was working on mine and my co-worker's plates when another guy walked up and barked at him asking what they were supposed to get. As he was slapping tzatziki on the plates, I tried to tell him I'd like tabouli instead because I'm lactose-intolerant and he snapped back that he wasn't working on my plate, but on a salad for the lady behind me. Ook, well when you're looking at the plate that is eventually being sold to me and hovering your serving spoon over top, it would seem as though you're referring to my order. I was taken aback by how abrasive he was to both me and his colleague. Overall, I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I personally think there are several other Greek options in Morrisville that offer better service and quality of food.

Came here because we were craving Greek food. It was a little pricey for a gyro bowl and regular gyro. The gyro bowl had rice, gyro meat, lettuce, yogurt sauce, pita, and feta with a small scoop of cucumber salad. This was $11 but pretty small (maybe half the size of a chipotle container). The gyro was good but still a little pricey. The meals didn't come with anything either. Overall, it's fine, nothing amazing.

This "Greek cuisine" is definitely not the place. We ordered a gyro and an order of baklava. The gyro was mostly salad with barely any meat at all. The baklava was literally one bite big for $3.99. It tasted processed and frozen. It was appalling and they should be embarrassed and ashamed to serve it and charge $4 for the literal one bite, which we threw out bc it was disgusting. It qas overall extremely disappointing and would never go back again. You shouldn't go there either if you are expecting Greek cuisine.

Gyro and greek salad at Greek Cuisine

Greek Cuisine and that means Greek gyros, Greek salads, Greek fries and a glass counter full of Greek desserts. I ordered a gyro and it was prepared to order in front of me. Pita topped with donner meat and then steamed hot with a fresh salad prepared and topped with their version of Greek dressing. A good portion for $9. Some tables outside, which is nice at this time of year. Parking's a challenge but there are spaces on the street and in their lot.

After the lunch crowd apparently since there was no line at 1:30pm. Service was fast, made while the woman in front of me paid. Had the gyro combo with a salad and drink. Cost $10. Salad was fresh, gyro meat already sliced ready to go. Both were built per my instructions as I stood at the counter. (Like at Subway or Moe's). Convenient location with a large shared parking lot. Or if you're within 3 miles they will deliver. Outside and indoor seating available. Indoors has lots of light--walls of glass. Nothing fancy--just a quick lunch spot, could have been cleaner regarding floor and table tops. Heath score 93.5.

Worth visiting! I am on my way back to Asheville from Raleigh. It is 11 am and I figure I should get lunch. I see the sign for two popular deli sandwich shops. But while driving by a strip mall, I see a sign "Greek Cuisine" next to a smoothie and pizza place. My brain speaks to my taste buds and says yes to Greek! I was thankful the staff were willing to share what they like and how. I ended up getting the popular gyro. I said yes to fries but, I didn't eat them. The gyro was big and filling. I reserve 5 stars for places that knock my socks off. This is a clean, fresh and enjoyable place. And, it is just one mile down from I40. Enjoy!!

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

Staff came to us immediately for our drink and appetizer order then allowed us the requested time to view the menu. The ambiance and feel of the place is incredible! We ordered the Greek mimosa and the spartan Bloody Mary along with the avgolemeno soup to start. Then the Pasticho and mousaka .Being Greek we are very particular about our Greek food. The Greek mimosa was excellent, the flavors aren't anything like a regular mimosa it is a whole new experience, if you like a red or rose wine try it! The bloody mark has a bit of a bite but it too has a great flavor I would not order if you don't like spicy or can't have salt. The avgolemano was delicious just the right amount of lemon too simple and elegant just lemon egg chicken rice and broth with light seasoning. The Pasticho was excellent! They even bought the right noodles ! About as close to my yaiyas as a restaurant can get! The mousaka was also delicious. Many times you get it the eggplant is either greasy or hard. This was perfect and not highly seasoned. I recommend giving this restaurant try parking is definitely a lot easier than Tara and the food is excellent and the ambience is fabulous!

I went with a group of 6 adults this past week and realized that the atmosphere no longer outweighs the other nits for us. The restaurant was maybe 80% full, but our servers couldn't find the time to check on us. We had a bottle of wine served, and maybe 15 minutes later needed more wine. We finally got our server's attention and we got more wine. Once our entrees came out, our server and wine guy never came back to our table. We even told them we would like more wine but they never came back with it. We would've bought 4-5 bottles of wine that evening had someone come back to check on us. Instead, we just sipped our waters until we were ready to leave. The food was honestly mediocre all around. The lamb was overcooked and inedible, the eggplant dish was over salted, etc. We liked our dips platter, but it came with a tiny bowl of pita and like three pieces of celery for $24, so most of the dips went uneaten. If someone had asked if we needed more pita or vegetables we would have said yes, even if we had to pay for it. But nobody did. I could go into more details (mansplaining and some belittling all around), but it's not really important. We realized there are restaurants in Chapel Hill that we'd rather visit in the future. I hope Kipo's is able to make some changes because we really love it. But in the meantime we're going to give it a break.

Perhaps my favorite out of everything we got all night. However, although they do have a nice variety of vegan appetizers, they only have one vegan entree, the Golden Quinoa. It isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to the appetizers we've had. Additionally, over the past two years (during which we've come to parizade about 3 times, because we had a massive giftcard to use up), the quality of the entree has gone down somewhat. When we went last night, I was disappointed to feel that it was altogether underseasoned. It's also disappointing to see that they have not attempted to introduce or switch our their vegan entree in 2 years. The service also varies. Last night, our server was fantastic, and obviously very experienced, but on past visits we have gotten less experienced servers who have made our dining experience more uncomfortable rather than less so. Perhaps most frustrating is that only one out of three of the servers appeared to understand what it meant that we were vegan. Both of the others, after being told that we were vegan, recommended dishes which were not vegan (which we had to awkwardly tell them), or suggested we add protein to the quinoa dish (which, again, I don't think they have a vegan tofu to add--or if they did, he didn't tell us). I'm willing to have some grace on a server that is learning, but I think it's frankly unacceptable for a fine dining establishment to have wait staff who don't know how to accommodate vegan customers (especially when they literally have their vegan options labeled on the menu!). Generally speaking, a hefty giftcard to a fine dining restaurant should feel like a gift, not a burden. Because of the limited vegan options, however, using up our giftcard felt like something of a chore (and we ended up resorting friends with us the last time so that we could blow most of it on a few bottles of wine). If you aren't vegan, I'm sure you would enjoy this place. If you are, I think that there are much better fine dining experiences in the area. Even so, I'm rating this 4 stars because the appetizers, the wine, and the cocktails were all truly 5 stars.

This place is freakin' delicious. So, we had a great meal from the food truck once. And Gussy's catered a wine pairing dinner at Peak of the Vine in Apex which was spectacular. We decided then we had to visit the brick and mortar location, but one thing after another delayed us until today. We went with our (adult) kids and everyone loved every bite. I had a new pork gyro and their amazing lemon rice (do not sleep on the lemon rice, it is a stealth amazing side), my wife had the fried shrimp platter and the shrimp was great. Somehow more shrimpy than most fried shrimp. I don't know what that means, but there you go. My daughter got the chicken gyro with fries and declared the fries her new favorite fries. The veggies were so crisp and fresh in the gyro that even though she finished all the chicken, she brought the last few bites of pita and veggies home because she didn't want to waste them. My son is a limited-taste eater, but was relieved to see some Italian classics on the menu. He went with his favorite sandwich, a chicken parmesan hero. He didn't have super high hopes for an amazing experience, because outside of a pizzeria chicken parm is usually just good, never great. But he was shocked, "This is better than most pizzerias. I'd have to get one here and one at Mezza Luna and have them side by side to judge them, it's that good." So yeah, Gussy's. Don't wait around like we did. There are a lot of great little shops in this plaza that deserve recognition--I never would have found them without a Yelp search. I walked in to get a quick takeout order because I had to be back for a meeting in 30 minutes. I almost left because there were about eight people ahead of me waiting to order. I also just started a keto diet, so I was hoping they had something I could actually eat. The menu looked incredible. If I weren't on this diet, I totally would have gotten the gyro and fries that I saw delivered to a nearby table; I was literally drooling. I settled for a Caesar salad to go. I forgot to ask for no croutons, but that is on me! It came with fresh pita and tzatziki, which looked and felt awesome. I tasted the tzatziki before giving them both away, and it was delicious--probably the best tzatziki I have tasted in a long time. For my salad protein, I chose the chicken skewers (you get two). The salad was dressed, and I had to sprint to my meeting. I opened it and took a bite at the office, and let's just say I kept my camera off and my microphone on mute for most of the call! The chicken had such good flavor, and the salad had a generous amount of shaved parmesan with a nice dressing. They also did what I always do with a Caesar: added lemon. There were two big wedges of lemon in the container, which provided that perfect extra hit of acid I always look for. While I didn't get to interact with everyone, the woman running the front of the house (and probably the back, too) was incredibly nice. I wish I experienced that kind of service everywhere I went; the world would be a much friendior place. I think I'll be a regular here.

This location feels like it is in the hub of downtown - many streets come together in this spoke-like cluster with a small park in the center. All of Neomonde Durham's windows offer great views while eat-in diners enjoy the amazing food, and it was clear that it is a regular for workers in the area to come grab a meal to go - many pickups occurred whilst we were there. The menu is the exact same as the Raleigh one, so no menu pics, just pics of the trendy setting - and my delicious Beef and Lamb Shawarma - YUM‼ The ladies behind the food counter were super nice, the food was as delicious as it was @ the Raleigh location, same selection of erudite beers and healthy drinks available. However, the level of connectedness with the customers was different - perhaps due to the business and office buildings that surround it - customers are more likely than not on a tight schedule. There wasn't a Service Champion like Alex to add that extra dimension of welcome - the cashier (maybe manager on duty) was perfunctory. However, the setting was clean, bright and well-appointed - if I were a worker in this area Neomonde Durham would be a weekly stop!
