I needed to eat a late lunch and Greek sounded good. The place was empty. I thought maybe that was just because it was 2:30. I should have checked out the reviews first! I got a chicken pita with fries and a drink for $15. Plus I put $2 in cash in the tip jar. I had high hopes given the price. The chicken was so bad. It tasted like tuna. AND it had the consistency of tuna! Seriously. In a blind taste, I'd bet 10 out of 10 people would say they were eating tuna! I like tuna, but chicken that tasted like tuna on a Greek pita just wasn't sitting right with me. So I ended up taking off all of the meat and piling it on a plate. I ate the piece of pita bread and the fries. When I got up to leave, I showed the man behind the counter my pile of uneaten meat and told him how bad it was and said that it tasted like fish. He went over and tasted some of the chicken from behind counter himself. Then HE said that YES, it did kind of taste fishy! I threw my plate in the trash and he just looked at me. WOW- major disappointment. If you like a lettuce, tomato, and cucumber Gyro you'd be in luck. The owner should be ashamed at the amount or the lack there of gyro meat. Initially I was excited as the meat was on a revoking broiler, used an electric slicer that carved the meat so thin you could see through it. We ordered from here through Uber eats. We didn't get what we ordered. We got something we didn't order. We ordered two Greek vegetarian platters and desert but we received two meat skewers with fries and no dessert. The fries were cold and very hard. I bet someone was upset about.getting vegetarian meals, instead of meat skewers. Not too shabby. I got the Mediterranean plate with chicken kabob. It came with hummus, one kabob, salad, 3 dolmas, an entire piece of pita bread, and tzatziki which I swapped for tabouli. It was definitely a large amount of food and the total came to $11 after tax. The chicken was tender and juicy, and just flavorful enough. The salad was pretty liquidy - not sure if that was from the dressing or rinsed greens, but definitely wet. Hummus and tabouli were average. Pita was very soft and I prefer mine with a bit more crunch and texture, so I wasn't crazy about it. As for service, it was just before noon and the lunch rush was beginning. It's an order-at-the-counter-and-move-down-the-line-assembly style (think Chipotle), and it was all sorts of chaotic. One person was working on mine and my co-worker's plates when another guy walked up and barked at him asking what they were supposed to get. As he was slapping tzatziki on the plates, I tried to tell him I'd like tabouli instead because I'm lactose-intolerant and he snapped back that he wasn't working on my plate, but on a salad for the lady behind me. Ook, well when you're looking at the plate that is eventually being sold to me and hovering your serving spoon over top, it would seem as though you're referring to my order. I was taken aback by how abrasive he was to both me and his colleague. Overall, I would eat here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. I first went there a couple of months ago, and seeing the gyro meat on the vertical spit, as they do in Greece, I thought this was the place for me. I have had a couple of meals there and it was adequate, but today I went in and the spit was empty, and the gyro meat on my sandwich was withered and dry, and stingily portioned. It was the worst gyro I have ever had. I have never expected the quality of the actual lamb gyros I ate in Greece, but some local establishments have come close. Not this one. The lady serving me was sweet. I think they roast their meat and slice up the whole thing early in the day, and let the meat sit out and dry for the rest of the day. I might go back in a month or two and see if it is any different earlier than the time I went today. read more

This "Greek cuisine" is definitely not the place. We ordered a gyro and an order of baklava. The gyro was mostly salad with barely any meat at all. The baklava was literally one bite big for $3.99. It tasted processed and frozen. It was appalling and they should be embarrassed and ashamed to serve it and charge $4 for the literal one bite, which we threw out bc it was disgusting. I was craving Greek today Bad mistake coming here. Mediocre food. Mediocre service. Inside too hot to sit inside they refused to turn the AC on and temperature was 98 degrees. I had the rice and salad with gyro meat It was dry bland and boring. Also a falafel wrap there was no seasoning and it was just bland boring and just disrespectful to my tastebuds. Wasted $20. Pita topped with donner meat and then steamed hot with a fresh salad prepared and topped with their version of Greek dressing. A good portion for $9. Took a quick trip into town while in the area and saw this place from the road. The food was OK, not a big home run like other places but if you are looking for. Quick bite then maybe stop by. The lack luster part that would make this place better is the meat portions in the gyros. I had a chicken and my buddy had the lamb and they both had a ton of lettuce and tomato but the heart of the sandwich was missing all of the meat. The tzatziki sauce was also not a big presence which also disappointed us. The people and atmosphere was enjoyable which does make for a better place of choice. I needed a quick but healthy option on an airport run. This was disappointing. The food was simple and bland, with the exception of the chipotle sauce. Although flavorful, it unfortunately didn't fit the flavor profile of the rest of the food. About 80% of the portion was bland rice, most of which ended up in the bin. I got the gyro platter. Worth visiting! I am on my way back to Asheville from Raleigh. It is 11 am and I figure I should get lunch. I see the sign for two popular deli sandwich shops. But while driving by a strip mall, I see a sign "Greek Cuisine" next to a smoothie and pizza place. My brain speaks to my taste buds and says yes to Greek! I was thankful the staff were willing to share what they like and how. I ended up getting the popular gyro. I said yes to fries but, I didn't eat them. The gyro was big and filling. l LOVE Greek food which is why I was excited to try this place after seeing the reviews. I figured I'd get something easy for the first visit so I got a gyro with fries. I was a little disappointed that the meat was readily available in a dish behind the glass that separated the food from the patrons. I was expecting to see shaven meat from a spool. The gyro was ok. I think the meat was seasoned well, I think. I couldn't really tell because there were way more lettuce, onions, and tomatoes than meat. I didn't want to remove all of the "salad fixings" because it would've been a very sad sandwich thereafter. Also, I know fries are just that...fries BUT I've had some good ones at Greek restaurants before. So, again, I was a little disappointed that they weren't more then fried potato strips. At any rate, I was happy to see a few seasonings offered by the register which I used for the fries. On my second visit I showed up at 8:20 PM (40 minutes before close) and ordered a Phava platter. I was told I couldn't have it because they had already cleaned the grill for the night. I might have understood if they gave a reason, but, they also just were matter of fact and blunt about it. Not being able to offer your full menu 40 minutes prior to close is a real problem, and then being rude about it just makes the customer service worse. It's a shame. On my first visit I had a wrap. My daughter and I grab dinner to go here all the time. The ladies always make a special bowl for us with chicken (and sometimes lamb or steak) over rice and chipotle sauce. I recently tried gyro from another restaurant just right across the street and out of the two, this is the one I go back to every Friday. Since I have lunch typically after 1 or 2, I often miss the rush hour which could also mean another thing- cold and not so fresh ingredients. So far, my meals have been spot-on fresh, cold when needed and hot as intended. The fries are cooked to order so they come out hot and crunchy. The gyro is superb - exceptional meat quality and quantity. In fact, they put so much that I hardly finish the side of fries. The added ingredients are fresh as well. It is an inviting place with room to sit down and a walk up place to order. I got the gyro, which was awesome. Very authentic and that sauce!! I spent almost $20 on a small dry garden salad with chicken that the kitchen called a Greek Salad. This was confusing since what I ordered was different to the Greek Salad on the menu. It had just a few dried up crumbles of chicken with some watery lettuce and a ton of red onion. The hummus was NOT GOOD. Had a metallic aftertaste as if they just loaded it with powdered garlic.
