This place is awesome! My husband, who does not like this "kind of food" loved his meal. He got the beef shawarma and I got the beef kabob. I treaded lightly, just in case he did not like his. I wanted to be able to switch orders. He will never be able to say he hates "this kind of food" again. Awesome food... no kidding! We are both fans of Mediterranean Delight. We will be back. This is one of those places that you want to support so they stay in business but don't want the word out too much because you don't want to come there to a line out the door. The food is fantastic lots of flavor and freshness. I am partial to the chicken skewers. I usually get it with the pita. Their pita is a little bit thin, I wish they'd make it a little bit thicker but overall no complaints. All of their sides are fantastic. I haven't had any desserts but the last time I was there somebody bought every single piece so I'm assuming they're good. It's in a very awkward setting unless you have a small party don't plan on staying there to eat. They have a small room next to their place that they have to open with keys but that's pretty tight in there. Five stars all the way. (I recently went here again and as usual everything was perfect. So, I rarely eat out, but when I do, it's usually here. And oh my goodness, what a place! Everything I've eaten (which is everything vegetarians) is an explosion of flavor and joy in your mouth. It almost makes you want to cry with joy because of how delicious it is. The owners, Riyaad and Naja are some of the nicest people you will meet, too! You also get your food pretty quickly. A little tricky to find: on the back-right corner of the back row of a sparsely populated strip mall. Great food here. The baba ganoush (roasted eggplant dip) is the best I've ever had. Moussaka, grape leaves, kebab all solid choices. If you want to try something unique, check out their lasagna, which puts a Mideastern spin on the classic dish. It's not much to look at from outside, but once you're in and smell the place you know you're in good hands. It's possible to eat here, but I've always gotten food to go. Food is cooked to order, so if you're in a hurry call in. They do great party platters if you want to feed a crew. Omg so fn Delish. Went on my hour lunch yesterday. Searches near by for food places close to work in oak ridge. This place came up and I had never been. My I'm so glad I did. It was amazing! I spend a lot of time in Oak Ridge and West Knoxville for business. I have eaten everywhere in town. Mostly, it's predictable chain restaurants. However, Mediterranean delight is a small, family owned restaurant that serves healthy ethnic lunches, a nice oasis in the bland Oak Ridge restaurant scene. Everything is cooked to order, so it takes a couple minutes to get your lunch. The food is pretty high quality as a result. They have a number of combo platters and refreshing salads. I've seen this place on Yelp a dozen times and skipped over it for places I knew were good until today. What a fool I've been.... This is one of the best Mediterranean places I've ever found and definitely one of my top 5 favorite hole in the wall restaurants. I have been to this restaurant several times and the owner/operator is always nice to me. In my opinion attitude counts as much as the food. as for the food....its quite good. great falafels, humus, and lamb. I have had middle eastern food from other restaurants and even had middle eastern friends who would invite people over and cook for them. I feel this makes me more of an expert than those who have never experienced this. So far as I know this is the only middle eastern restaurant in oak ridge. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who asked. read more

This place is a hidden gem of oak ridge. The food is out of this world amazing. The owner is the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. We went the first time my husband and I, we ate there. My husband was already craving it the next day when I wasn't home so he called in an order, the guy recognized his voice and asked how I was and if we wanted the same thing we ordered yesterday. That amazes me, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast but a stranger can pick up on my husbands voice and remember our order, amazing. Love love love this place! read more

Love this place - the food, of course, and the people who run it. I stopped in after being away for six months, and the owner remembered that I used to always get a Mediterranean salad. My husband has made a point of sampling tabouli on his travels and thinks Med D has the best in the world. Personally, my favorite is the spicy hummous, which has enough red pepper to make it interesting without burning your taste buds out. The schwarmas are large, delicious, and healthily filling. There's no restroom, tho, so plan ahead, and carry hand sanitizer if you're an avid handwasher! read more

The only place in Oak Ridge to get Mediterranean. The owner is very nice and always greets you warmly. It's is nothing fancy- the dining room is the crowded space next door. It's counter service and pretty much everything is take away. There is a small space next door to dine in if you want. The food takes awhile to prepare so you will wait at least 10 minutes after ordering. I always call in my order ahead of time to avoid the wait, but the food is worth the wait! read more

The food was prepared to order and was super fresh. We enjoyed a falafel wrap and a chicken shawarma wrap. When I arrived I told the owner I'd had bad baba ghanouj before and he whipped up a sample alongside my order for me to try for free while I was waiting and it blew me away. Not just great Mediterranean food, it's superior Mediterranean food compared to peers from all across Tennessee. He doesn't have any Mediterranean competition in his town and is still head and shoulders above significant Mediterranean restaurants in Nashville. This is basically a "carry out" place. It's not a restaurant - they have a few seats outside and a room next door. The food is surprisingly delicious. We're from Knoxville and won't go out of our way to go there, but if you're in the area and want some tasty food give this place a try. I have never had a bad meal here. The combo plate is perfect. Everything is made when you order it. You can call in your order and it's ready when you get there. As others noted, it is take out. It is located in Ridgeway Center on the side of a building as you head up to some Tan auto body building, definitely tucked in. The place smelled amazing but I was unfortunately talking to some one that walked in with me and did not read the full menu but I walked out with hummus which was good, tabouli which was ok not sure I would buy it again (once Trader Joes gets here) and about a dozen grape leaves which were fantastic. I will definitely be back to order some food but my whole intent was to pick up some hummus and tablouli. read more

Here's the best compliment I can give this place: I order the veggie plate even though I'm a guy who really likes meat. That's how good the falafels and stuffed grape leaves are.
