    Catering Chicken kabob dinner

Very good catering service for cooperative lunch. We got Chicken kabob dinner with rice and grilled veggies. The amount and quality is such a bang for your bucks.

I picked up lunch today at Mediterranean Grill, which has a deli-style counter with sandwiches prepared to order and a display of ready-to-go pizza slices with assorted toppings. It's a big menu. My eye landed on the grilled honey turkey sandwich and it was ready quickly, wrapped in foil. I got a soda from their cooler and a bag of chips to go with it. Back at the apartment, I unwrapped a still warm sandwich. Plenty of turkey on the grilled rye with a nice layer of melted cheese. Very tasty! I'd choose them for lunch again. Ordered shrimp primavera, but no shrimp here.

I don't know what I got. I ordered a shrimp primavera and see what I got, just a fettuccine with veggies. This is not what I paid for, since this is a company lunch and my coworkers picked up for me, I can't go to the restaurant to show them what I got.

A little pricier than your normal workweek lunch but I would say it's worth it. I have had the portabello mushroom sub and the vegetarian sub and both were delicious. Really large and packed full of flavor. People must agree with me because they do good business. One thing I wonder though, the same girl who works at Al's works here. So are they owned by the same person? Or she just has no loyalty? Haha. Try it out if you want to get away from Faneuil Hall and have a yummy hot/cold sandwich.

We dined in, had a pizza slice, Cesar salad, and kabob wrap. It was delicious, hot, and fresh. Perfect for lunch.

We ordered a pizza by phone during the St. Anthony Feast, and the woman who took our order was curt and rude from the start -- I chalked it up to the festival rush. But it got worse when we picked up. We paid $32 for a pizza and asked if we could sit inside to eat it and there were plenty of available tables. We were told no -- inside is table service only, and takeout means you take it and eat elsewhere. Fine, except there was nowhere to sit outside at the festival. When we asked about using one of their own outdoor tables (they had roughly 30, and it was 11:15am, 45 minutes before the festival even started, so the tables were empty), we were told those were reserved for table-service customers only. This was after we'd already spent $32 in their restaurant. Regina's has been around for 100 years, but somewhere along the way they stopped caring about basic hospitality. Paying customers with nowhere to eat their food shouldn't be treated as an inconvenience. We won't be back.

I decided to go with the Wicked Pesto Pizza. It came with the signature crust, pesto base, grilled chicken, blue cheese, asiago, and fresh garlic. The driver dropped it off in front of the building and I picked it up. After first trying it, I was not impressed. It was very hard and dry. I had to reheat it in the microwave for it to be edible. I was expecting a delicious pizza packed with flavor. Instead I got something that I had to force myself to eat. I know Boston is not known for their pizza but I was expecting something halfway decent. If it was not for the Uber Eats discount I would have been upset with spending the cash. Next time I will try to check out some other spots for a slice of pizza.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
