i loved picco!!! such a cute place not too much seating but that made it cozy. my pizza was so good! definitely very garlicky but it was also the garlic pizza. i also got their homemade ice cream of course and tried the coconut with chocolate chips and it was so delicious

Picco is such a cute little neighborhood spot for pizza and ice cream. The service is quick and efficient and everyone working is super sweet. My cousin and I ordered the Alsatian pie which had sauteed onions, shallots, garlic, creme fraiche, bacon & gruyere cheese. The pizza was perfectly crispy but also soft where it needed to be. They use sourdough which really elevates the taste of the dough. After dinner we ordered some ice cream and it was absolutely delicious.

Picco has maybe the best pizza in Boston in my opinion! The crust is super thin, the toppings are fun and the quality of dough is amazing. You can order from the menu or customize your pizza to your liking! We ordered a couple pizzas, a salad, a pasta and a couple of iced tea lemonades. The server asked us if we preferred the salad come out first vs the rest of the food which I really appreciated! Everything was delish and came out quickly. We sat inside but they have a really nice outdoor patio! I would definitely recommend Picco for a casual dinner!

Okay, so there's no slice to be had here... However.. I was intrigued by the personal sized pizzas so I stayed for that.. Once I took my first bite, I knew I made the right call, a gooey, crunchy, flavorful experience all in one bite.. The food was great and the service got warmer with time. Pumped to come back for a large and run it back!

Pro Tip: Save room for ice cream. Most specifically, the coffee chocolate chip cookie scooped ice cream. Sourdough-styled pizza, made fresh. Once dough runs out for the day, options become minimal. With that being said, there are plenty of options still available, event at 9 PM. Can order a Small pie (10 in/4 slices), which serves 1-2 people. Can also order a Large pie (14 in/8 slices), which serves 2-4 people. The Alsatian is, most definitely, the best pizza option on the menu. Caramelized onions, shallots, garlic, creme fresh, bacon and gruyere. Chef's kiss! Our second option, the mushroom Swiss Chard, was just meh. The Caesar salad was also forgettable...not worth the $14. Will certainly be back for the Alsatian and ice cream.

Picco is love, Picco is life. Service has always been friendly and efficient. It gets busy, but you don't feel cramped. Great place to catch up with friends and colleagues. The line to get ice cream can get long in the summer. I can't say I like everything on the menu, but that's okay because there's always ice cream at the end. The meatballs are kind of bland. The acorn squash and brussels spouts are delicious. The hot honey wings are yummy, but a bit dry. The rigatoni and sausage were scrumptious. The alsatian pizza was meh. Sausage fennel and ricotta was fantastic. Four cheese is also really good. But honestly with the pizzas you can just add whatever toppings you want. Now the ice cream. This is my love letter to Picco's ice cream. You get so much ice cream in the small (photo) for just $5. You can also get a kids for $3 and it's a great size scoop! I love that the flavors changes and I haven't tried a flavor I didn't like. And don't disregard their dairy free flavors, they make them so creamy! The dark chocolate sorbet and the peach flavors were both delicious and made me question how they were dairy free. Otherwise, the caramel swirl, blueberry miso, coffee, cinnamon, peanut butter swirl, all delicious. You literally can't go wrong with Picco's ice cream.

Good pizza with great selection of drinks! We did Half & Half large pizza with cheese and AL PASTOR. We were seated right away and service was quick and friendly. We also ordered delicious mac and cheese - you will like it if you prefer dry version! Their ice creams were def highlights of the night I can't wait to try their pasta soon :)

Overall pretty mediocre experience, mostly due to service. Felt like the restaurant was very understaffed despite it being half empty on a Monday night. We waited forever to order and ultimately it was the host who took our order, however then we never had refills of our waters or were checked in on and it was difficult to get our waitress to stop by so we could ask for the bill. From a food perspective, we did enjoy the corn chowder and the mac and cheese had a nice blend of cheeses for flavoring. Pizza was fine, a step up from most pizza chains probably but otherwise not too impressive. If anything, the food I would come back for is the ice cream. Scoops are pretty typically priced for the area and can be ordered at the counter for take out (pints also available). I tried the passionfruit and it had a nice flavor and texture.

Any freebies or special celebration if it’s your Birthday?

Not that I know of. You could "check-in" using the Yelp app to get a free scoop of ice cream. Birthday or no birthday!

Any eat here with food allergies? Specifically peanut.

We asked, they are nut free, including the pesto

    Is the crust sourdough?

Hi. I am dough maker at Picco. We do use sourdough. Dough recipe has evolved over time. For the last year or so it is sourdough with 24 hour cold fermentation and about 80% hydration. Happy to answer any questions. Rick

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard. The ambiance has a rustic feel, with tall, weathered wooden booths that make eating a close experience, so please bring people you really like! The servers are present but not hovering and checked on us with the kind of frequency that says, "yeah we should let you eat but not forget you are there." I will be back for sure.
