Good was good, I was looking for more flavor in the noodles but I would love to try this or another menu item next time.

Got the rice noodles and their chicken skewers. This place is amazing and well priced. We've also catered with them for parties, and the food is always fresh and hot. Definitely recommend!

MediterrAsian Bistro is very clean, humble and plain looking, which makes the food the star. Their name sounds like they would have a mix of the two cuisines in their offerings. Instead, Mediterranean food is on one side of the menu, and Asian on the other. I wondered if one cuisine would be better, but we really liked both. Order and pay at the counter, and they'll quickly bring your food to the table. Our food came on huge ceramic plates with Mickey Mouse embossed on them! My friend enjoyed his huge plate of garlic fried rice with chicken (he ate the whole thing!), and I thought my chicken kabob platter with rice, grape leaves and falafel was at least as good as I've had at any other Mediterranean restaurant in the area. Prices are about what you'd expect to pay, and the portion sizes were large.

I'll be upfront, I didn't know what to expect with this combination but I was pleasantly surprised. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Plenty of booths to sit in but not much decor and I saw a lot more people getting food for takeout rather than eating in. Pricing: 5/5 - the portions are fantastic for the price! The grilled lamb platter was $16 which came with rice, pita and one side. Food: 4/5 - The lumpia is a must have here. The cauliflower side was flavorful and I enjoyed the lamb although it was a bit chewy. Rice were a tad dry but nothing too crazy. Service: 5/5 - Friendly staff and food came out super quick!

Overall, this is a great place for Filipino food. The owner is very nice and personable. We enjoy chatting with her when we go in. It's a nice family run restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy inside. It is clean and well-maintained. The food does take a little longer to come out since it is cooked fresh, especially if it is busy. The food is solid. I love the BBQ kebabs, Tabbouleh, and French Fries. They ate packed with flavor and well-seasoned. The steak and onions is sooooo good. My husband loves their gyros. If you love Filipino food, this is the place. My only complaint is I do miss their AYCE buffet.

This is a hidden gem in a sea of fast food and chain restaurants. MediterrAsian has a very nondescript storefront with a eclectic menu consisting of Mediterranean staples with some Filipino specialties. The inside is equally low key. You order at the counter & they bring the food to you. Since good Filipino food is hard to find in this area, we decided to order some of their specialties. We ordered a lumpia appetizer, chicken adobo & the bbq chicken skewers. Lumpias were a generous portion and came out piping hot with sweet chili dipping sauce. Filling was very flavorful. Chicken adobo was a generous portion served with jasmine rice and strangely, tabbouleh salad. It was flavorful and well made. The stand-out dish was the BBQ chicken skewers. You get 3 generous skewers of well marinated dark meat chicken. The flavor was reminiscent of Chinese BBQ pork (char siu) and had a wonderful slightly charred flavor. It was absolutely delicious! This was also served with jasmine rice and tabbouleh salad. Will definitely be keeping this on our list of go-to places!

I noticed this spot when I was out shopping and decided to give it a try. I enjoy Asian food and this place offers a lot of different options. Customer service was cool and the inside is a little outdated but the food is the star! I ordered filipino adobo chicken and it was incredibly delicious. It was hot, fresh and full of flavor. I'll definitely be back soon to try other menu items

3 chicken barbecue skewers with rice for $14 = not worth it. Menu is unique mix of Filipino and Mediterranean but neither excels in quality. Also eating Halo Halo - there might've been an insect in it - no kidding. Also curry chicken before and chicken was so dry! Sad that is the only Filipino restaurant in the area.

The food was AMAZING. We had great service. The workers were great. The place was calm and nice. My family is Filipino so we really enjoyed this place.

This restaurant is close to our new house but we had never tried it until recently. It's kind of odd to see a place that serves both Mediterranean and Filipino food, but just pick one and go with it. You order and pay at the counter, and they'll bring your food out when it's ready. I ordered chicken adobo and my wife got a Greek salad. I've only had homemade adobo in a crockpot so I don't have a lot to compare it to. The flavor was good but I was kind of put off by the basically raw onions it came with -- I would have preferred them cooked some more. It is a small mom and pop shop, and they were trying to hire some help. Prices were reasonable. We'll consider them again.

Not a fusion restaurant. Not a Buffet. There's a Mediterranean menu and a Filipino menu. Both were good with a lot of flavor. Slight change from traditional flavors of each. Chefs are Filipino with a background in Mediterranean cooking. Healthy portions.

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

The service was spectacular and I even met one of the managers at the end. He was great. I also love the interior of the building and loved the decor. Okay, let's get the important part... the food. We got the meze platter as an appetizer and it was delicious but I'm not sure if it was worth the price of nearly 50 dollars. The crab baklava was also a bit underwhelming. The puff pastry was flaky and well done but it had very little crab flavor. If they could increase the crab it would have been one of my favorites. For entrees we ordered pastitsio with spare ribs, soft shell crab and spicy seafood pasta. Each dish was very delicious and the flavors worked well together. The crab was by far my favorite and has a nice light and crispy fried breading that paired perfectly with the tangy sauce and fresh greens. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing, especially given the importance of the occasion and the amount we spent. The service was very slow, and the overall experience simply did not match the standard that brought us back in the first place. While the manager did apologize and brought an extra dish to the table, the repeated apologies did not really make up for the poor pacing and frustration during brunch. The menu has a lot of variety but there are no substitutions or adding protein to a salad.... But the food was good! Since the food took a while -spirits were dampened. This is a great place for two to four people but since we were a party over six, our server was guaranteed a 20 percent tip -so maybe there was no incentive for great service.

Perhaps my favorite out of everything we got all night. However, although they do have a nice variety of vegan appetizers, they only have one vegan entree, the Golden Quinoa. It isn't bad, but it pales in comparison to the appetizers we've had. Additionally, over the past two years (during which we've come to parizade about 3 times, because we had a massive giftcard to use up), the quality of the entree has gone down somewhat. When we went last night, I was disappointed to feel that it was altogether underseasoned. It's also disappointing to see that they have not attempted to introduce or switch our their vegan entree in 2 years. The service also varies. Last night, our server was fantastic, and obviously very experienced, but on past visits we have gotten less experienced servers who have made our dining experience more uncomfortable rather than less so. Perhaps most frustrating is that only one out of three of the servers appeared to understand what it meant that we were vegan. Both of the others, after being told that we were vegan, recommended dishes which were not vegan (which we had to awkwardly tell them), or suggested we add protein to the quinoa dish (which, again, I don't think they have a vegan tofu to add--or if they did, he didn't tell us). I'm willing to have some grace on a server that is learning, but I think it's frankly unacceptable for a fine dining establishment to have wait staff who don't know how to accommodate vegan customers (especially when they literally have their vegan options labeled on the menu!). Generally speaking, a hefty giftcard to a fine dining restaurant should feel like a gift, not a burden. Because of the limited vegan options, however, using up our giftcard felt like something of a chore (and we ended up resorting friends with us the last time so that we could blow most of it on a few bottles of wine). If you aren't vegan, I'm sure you would enjoy this place. If you are, I think that there are much better fine dining experiences in the area. Even so, I'm rating this 4 stars because the appetizers, the wine, and the cocktails were all truly 5 stars.

While everything tasted quite good, the lamb was incredibly tough. Despite being described as slow roasted, both in gyros and sandwiches the lamb was near inedible. Knives and teeth could barely cut through, and despite chewing some swallowed had to just be of larger chunks. The meat itself was tough and there was just so much connective tissue. Now it did taste good but the eating experience was quite disappointing. Portion sizes were generous, and pricing was fair.
