I used to visit CT Wok often for lunch, but it had been a while since my last visit. Yesterday, our party of five returned for lunch and had a wonderful time. The restaurant is small, cozy, and clean. The service was great and, most importantly, the food was delicious. We ordered Chongqing spicy chicken (重慶辣子雞), green beans (乾煸四季豆), shredded pork with dried tofu (香干肉絲), salt-and-pepper fish fillets (椒鹽魚片), salt-and-pepper shrimp (椒鹽蝦), and Singapore-style fried rice vermicelli (新加坡炒米粉). Everything was flavorful and enjoyable. My only minor complaint was that the Singapore rice noodles was not as dry - it was more sautéed then it was stir-fried. C+T Wok is a solid option for a budget-friendly lunch, especially if you're looking to keep things around the $10 range for a full meal. The lunch special pricing is definitely the main draw, and it's hard to beat for the amount of food you get. That said, the execution is a bit mixed. The General Tso's chicken was very bready, with not as much actual chicken as I would've liked, which took away from the overall experience. Another downside is that they've removed the free soup that used to come with the lunch special. It's a small thing, but it did add value before and is missed. One more thing for me is that they have no ice, so you are having luke warm water or drinks. Whenever I want some good Asian cuisine, this is my goodness to spot. I always always get the salt and pepper fish...so darn good! The batter is well seasoned and green peppers are well seasoned. The Thai fried rice is always a good choice. Flavors Flavors! The staff is always so friendly. The only thing that I suggest is that you call ahead if you are placing an order to go. They are always really busy...that should be an indication of how good the food is. There is ample parking. C&T Wok overall is a great place to either dine in or take out. read more

Bottom line: C&T Wok consistently comes through with delicious and satisfying delivery Chinese food for me. Good portions for delivery selections. Highlights have been Crab Rangoon, Lo Mein with Beef, Broccoli with Chicken, Steamed Dumplings, and their Vegetable Rolls. The Deets: It's been quite a long time since I have been to C&T Wok itself in person but it is firmly in my delivery food rotation. I think it is a solid choice for local Chinese food and the dishes I've ordered from here always satisfy being hot and delicious with good portion (being just right down the road helps). I've had such selections from here including their Crab Rangoon and Lo Mein with Beef, both of which I find great choices. However my usual go-to choices lately include Broccoli with Chicken and their Steamed Dumplings. All those meals I have mentioned always are very flavorful and satisfying, more so than most Chinese delivery choices I try that can be bland or very predictable. In fact, the Steamed Dumplings are so distinctive and delicious that you do not need any sauce to enjoy them (but it can help if you like it, of course!). I also recommend their Vegetable Rolls as well. I tend to depend on C&T Wok for good delivery Chinese food and will continue to go to them when that hankering hits me. read more

If you've not been to C&T Wok, you're missing out. They have what my partner and I consider the best general Tso's chicken. Other favorites include coffee chicken, boiler fish filet in spicy Szechuan sauce, and string beans. I'd say you want to go family style and share a bunch of dishes with a group. Their space is on the smaller end and feels intimate and cozy! The service is friendly and attentive (which I guess makes sense considering how small it is). Ordered a quick takeout for lunch. The portion side was large and tasty. I also ordered a side of soup and a spring roll. The soup was a large size as well. They let me order white meat chicken at a small extra cost so I appreciated that. The sesame chicken tasted like it normally does but I don't recall the sauce being a bright red sauce. Just in case that throws anyone off like it did me. When I went to the restaurant I noticed how small it was but it is nice. This used to be my favorite restaurant in the entire triangle area solely for the spicy crispy fish. When I moved for a year to Seattle, I was missing the fish so badly. Upon moving back to the area, they seemed to have changed their fish. It almost tastes double battered and not as good as it used to. I tried it again three times since, hoping that it was a fluke, but it seems this is the new standard. Pretty disappointing. Other menu items I still enjoy are: chonqing chicken, stir fried green beans, and anchor. BUT this is no longer my favorite restaurant and I'll return sporadically to try the spicy fish again in hopes it is back to the normal recipe...still give them a try! If we have a reasonable but not admirable experience at a restaurant that others seem to like we often give them another run. This time the food went from mediocre to just bad -in my opinion. We ordered the vegetable rolls ,Chicken and Mushrooms and then Sweet and Sour Chicken . Just basic Mall food choices this go round .( We had Thai the first time ). The menu has limited descriptions of the items and required multiple questions to find out what you will be served . The Sweet and Sour Chicken pieces are an array of sizes included pieces as small as a dime The Entree portion was very reasonable But the sauce was surprisingly served in two small containers with an inadequate amount for that portion size . Finally the insult that made be write this review -The mushrooms in the Chicken and Mushroom entree were CANNED MUSHROOMS . WHAT? Are we in the 1960s when fresh mushrooms were not readily available??? This entree was 80% CANNED Mushrooms and 15-20% chicken . It was BLAH. I threw it out after three bites . I rarely feel cheated when I eat out but I feel cheated now .Who would even think in this day and age to ask an apparently nice restaurant if they use CANNED Mushrooms ? I hope others have a better experience than we have had .The people working at the restaurant were nice on both occ.But the food is, in my opinion ,is not good. read more

Staying in Raleigh while getting home renovations done, I decided I hadn't had chinese take-out in a long time. My wife found this place and had it delivered. BIG MISTAKE for the most part. The crab rangoons are about the best I've ever had. Creamy, crunchy goodness - definite A++. However, the lo mein was VERY tasteless and the noodles overcooked, the pork in it was rubbery, and the general tso's my wife ordered was generic and gave her a stomach ache. Would have been a 2 star if not for the rangoons. That said, we stay in Raleigh all the time and the rangoons aren't good enough for us to ever come back. MEH. read more

I've been here a few times and it's usually pretty solid Chinese food! This time we ordered to go and got the spicy crispy fish, green beans, Mapo tofu and Mongolian beef. The spicy crispy fish is my absolute favorite, you can't go wrong with that dish! It's not too spicy and the texture is just the right amount of crunchy. The green beans are also good, super tasty and cooked perfectly. The Mapo tofu and Mongolian beef were both misses in my opinion. The Mapo tofu was more like tofu in spicy soup, the sauce was too thin and pretty flavorless. The Mongolian beef was overcooked unfortunately, I had a hard time chewing it. I did like that each dish came with a super generous portion of rice though. I think the first time I came we had less misses, so I'm choosing to believe this time we just ordered the wrong things. There are definitely better Chinese spots in Cary but this place is a really good bang for your buck! read more

More spice than I'm typically used to but enjoyable. All of the pieces of chicken were not cooked to the same evenness. Some pieces of chicken were cooked a bit much for me. Very little fried rice was given. This should be increased. The pain-fried dumplings were meaty and pretty good. I enjoyed the spring roll. Overall, this satisfied my cravings. Almost everything I've tried is insanely delicious, but my favorites are the sesame tofu, the drunken noodles with vegetables, and the Thai spicy basil with tofu. I plan to try every vegetarian option on the menu before I leave NC. Despite Roy's easing/removal of state guidelines, this place is still extremely strict and careful with regard to COVID-19. The flood gates have already opened and they get quite busy lately. Incredible menu with a wide variety of Sichuan, Chinese, and Thai offerings. My go-to is the crispy fillet fish stir-fried with dried chili. The staff is very efficient and pleasant. The actual restaurant is rather small. But it's clean and they make max use of the space. I've been coming to this place for about a year and I crave it once a week. Their prices and food portions are UNBEATABLE, especially if you come during lunch time. Their fried fish, beef with onion, coffee chicken, drunken noodle, stir fried lotus root are just some of the dishes to name that have incredible flavor. The star dish(es) for me that is always ordered is/are the sesame chicken and string beans. Take everything you know about sesame chicken and throw it out the window when you try theirs, it is truly on its own level. I don't even like string beans but, their string beans are addicting. I always wished this place was a little bigger but, whether I'm with my family (party of 7) or just a friend, I've never experienced trouble with seating. Their service is always top notch and I've never had an issue with the timing of food or not having my drink refilled. Great Chinese food for an affordable price! We went on a Tuesday so it was quieter than usual. Our food came out quickly and the service was great. The owner came to check on us multiple times which was very nice. We got the Dan Dan noodles with pork, Lo Mein with chicken and Chong Qing chicken. All the food items were flavorful and delicious. We asked for extra spicy Chong Qing chicken and it was on fire- we loved it! If you can handle spicy food, this is a must try. They were happy to dial the spice level up for us which was great.
