I got my nipples done here about three months ago. The female piercer was absolutely amazing with being calm and getting it done quick. She gave me a few min in between right and left. But there was absolutely no measurements taken of my nipples so the jewelry they put in (externally threaded, gross) indented my nipples and caused a large bump. The fault on her end was definitely not measuring , you need space for swelling and they were extremely tight, I couldn't take them out because the hole would seize. So I had to wait and be uncomfortable for about two months. Currently have Same gauge 5/8 in left as of about 6 hours ago and the bump has already gone down (it's also internally threaded :)) read more

DO NOT COME HERE. The prices are great and really cheap for a reason. It is worth going to a real shop and spending a decent amount of money to make sure that it's done right and the correct type of jewelry is used. They claim it's hypoallergenic but the jewelry is a bunch of crap. My friend had a pretty bad reaction to the jewelry and when she had another piercer remove it, all of the metal coating was stripped away. Another friend's nose piercing is permanently black. This was my first time being inside the Mall of NH and I spotted this place as I was walking through..had to stop! I've been wanting to get my septum pierced for a long time and to get the industrial in my ear. Went in, asked if they do those and they said yes so I just went for it. They took me in for the piercings within 5 minutes and the woman who did them was very professional, fast and nice enough (she didn't talk much, all business)...she put in the wrong earring for my septum at first and when I told her, she was super cool about it and just replaced it real quick. I was bleeding a bit from my nose so she had me wait outside for a few and then she cleaned it one more time and I was off. I would definitely recommend this place and will totally be back for my other piercings! read more

I came here to get a helix piercing, all was good when I got it but it hurt really bad. My whole ear was sore. Soon later around the piercing I developed a little bump, I didn't think much of it because I figured that's how it heals but over time the bump got larger and larger. Well it turns out it is a keloid and it has taken over my ear. I called a plastic surgeon and they told me they have to charge full price for it ($5000) because it's for "cosmetic reasons". I took perfect care of my ear and I cleaned it twice a day and never touched it, I also didn't take it out until the piercer said I could. Whatever you do, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I've had a horrible deviated septum from many nose breaks over the years, despite that I've been hell bent on getting my septum pierced, so I finally decided to go do it. Right off the bat, the piercer (I didn't get her name) Informed me of my deviated septum and the potential risks. She told me there was a chance it would be extremely crooked, but that she was willing to still try. Not only that but she told me we could still try and if I wasn't happy she would take it out and refund my money. The generosity blew me away there, most piercers would have turned me away but she was willing to still potentially use her supplies and refund me after if I wasn't happy. On top of this she was one of the fastest and most precise piercers I've ever Had. In the end I left with a dang near perfect septum piercing and couldn't be happier!! Highly recommend read more

Great piercers but lack the proper PPE for the current pandemic. Piercer wore mask below her nose while giving a nose piercing...very unsanitary. They also don't seem to have a limit on the amount of customers in the store despite how cramped the space is. Their disregard for Covid restrictions makes me doubt their overall sanitation. read more

I've been here 3x now for my septum, Monroe, and lip. Unfortunately my lip did get infected as did the Monroe even with the H2O spray and CONSTANT mouthwash. Nothing antibiotics couldn't fix. I've always had the pleasure of having Katee as my piercer and she's beyond nice, polite, and professional. She's there 5 days a week. So most people get her. She's the reason I keep coming back. The front staff are friendly as well..... but I don't think asking one girl ANYTHING about size, what piercings are for what. I'd honestly ask Katee or the girl that has the dreads in her hair both extremely knowledgeable. Tomorrow with be my 4th time going and I've brought them over 5 people that have all got MULTIPLE piercings. It would be nice to get something for referring so many customers who keep coming back for more. That's the only issue and the fact my mouth got infected both times granted I'm on it every time I eat/drink I'm rinsing, spraying, and washing with the H2O soap as well. The piercer is great and extremely knowledgeable however that's if you can get passed the extremely rude receptionists. There is only one receptionist at the Manchester NH location that I like and can talk to. There is one however that is a new hire, (I'm assuming because I've never seen her before and I'm there alot) that when I went in to have one of my piercings looked at because it got infected I was told that "It looks dirty, do you clean it?" Which is an aweful way to handle the situation and made me extremely uncomfortable being that the other people in the store heard her say that. I returned again to have my conch piercing changed to a hoop and was turned away (by the same girl) an hour an a half before they closed because there were a few people ahead of me and a piercing change would take to long. Also she wouldn't take her eyes off of my piercing that was once infected which made everything all the more awkward. I'm going somewhere else and paying alittle more for friendlier staff that doesn't treat me like I have no idea what I'm doing with all 12 of my piercings when I walk in there. Go somewhere where you are respected 03/25/19 UPDATE- I went to a more reputable piercing place in Nashua who was very knowledgeable and great and explained that Medusa pierced my tragus at the wrong angle, making my body think it needs to push it out so it was never going to heal. Second, my rook was so far badly pierced and infected that after he scraped off all the dead tissue from the piercing the only thing he recommended to do was to unfortunately retire both piercings. He explained that what Medusa pierces with is not made to be in the body longterm and that it is cheap, hance the prices of the piercings. I am now on the road to recovery for my removed piercings. I will be sending out a complaint to the NH Board of Health about Medusa tomorrow. Pay alittle more to get the proper piercing service. read more

**** I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE**** Medusa Manchester NH My daughter went here to have her belly button pierced for her 18 Th birthday. They told her to pick out A belly button ring . The piercing part was fine .However the one that they put in her was too short and didn't allow room for the belly to swell. Which Clearly it will be swollen after piercing it . Within 1 week it was still swollen and the ball to the ring was going in to the piercing hole as well as it was starting to get infected. She did do all the proper care instructions they recommended as well as purchased the spray they sell. We could not get the piercing unscrewed at all. We ended up in the emergency room and they also could not get it unscrewed it had to be cut out . Which was very painful. I was in the Mall Saturday the 10th of Aug the store had just opened and I was the only customer. I purchased 2 earring one of mine had fallen out I ask before purchase if they would be able to put the new ones in was told several times yes there would be a fee but no problem. I purchased the earring went to pay the fee for putting them in and was told that they don't do that service on Saturdays. I was the only person in the store I made that statement and the earring were then pushed towards me. I requested a refund and again pointed out I was the only person in the store. After getting my refund I went to every possible place that would send customers to this store in the mall and told them what had happened and that they might want to stop referring customers to them. I honestly never leave reviews for anything but I had to leave one for this place. Obligatory, if I could leave zero stars I would comment. I realize this is a shop in a mall but it had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a shot. Big mistake. I went in to get my septum pierced and right away you can tell this place is like the fast food version of a piercing shop. They only allot five minutes for each piercing appointment (which right away should've been a warning sign for me). You go in and are met with some of the most cold and robotic employees that I have ever encountered in real life. Every reaction with them from start to finish felt like they had memorized some sort of weird script. I signed my paperwork and was left waiting in their storefront with no direction as to where I was supposed to wait. The unfeeling employees paired with the mountain of people who all show up at the same time for their rushed piercings make it feel like some sort of bizarre assembly line. The workers are clearly burnt out, which only accentuates the feelings of dread that were already present from the moment you arrive. My name was called shortly after I signed the paperwork and I was met with the least welcoming employee I have met so far. She already seemed like she didn't want to be there and the fact that she barely spoke to me made me feel as if my mere presents was an inconvenience to her. We walked into the back where the piercings are done in a room which honestly looks like a converted closet of some sort. She communicated minimally and preformed the piercing as if I wasn't even there. She marked one side of my septum, stated that it was deviated and then proceeded to use the clamp and pierce my septum all in the span of two minutes. She never once asked me about placement, showed me where it would land or let me see how it would look before piercing. Once the jewelry was in, she turned around and started cleaning and said I was all set. She never even gave me a mirror to look at my piercing with. She never once spoke to me about the healing process or aftercare. I then walked back out into the crowded storefront and left. I looked into a nearby mirror in a different store at the mall and immediately noticed that the piercing was crooked. This was not even 2 minutes after I had received the piercing so swelling had not set in yet. I went back to the storefront to ask to have the piercing redone and was told I would need to wait because the piercer was now with another client. It was at this moment that I realized that this piercing shop with piercing appointments every 5 minutes only has one piercer working. I waited for close to 20 minutes, all the while overhearing a six year old getting her ears pierced in the same converted closet where I had once sat. When the child finally left with her parents I was greeted by the same rude, unfeeling piercer that I had interacted with not 30 minutes before. She stared at me and stated my name as if she had not just had her fingers up my nose a half an hour before. I returned to the closet and explained to her that my piercing was crooked and she proceeded to argue with me about my anatomy. I told her I had seen the piercing done at other shops where they mark on both sides of the septum to adjust for deviation in order for the piercing to appear straight. She said that there was no way she could do that and that she could piercing it again but it would probably still be crooked. I told her that with the way it looks now, I just wanted it out. Without hesitation she replied, "Well then I can just take it out and you can get a refund." Her response to my problem was telling. She had no concern for me or for the outcome of my piercing, she just wanted to complete the piercing and move on to the next one, with complete apathy for the actual state of the work she was doing. I told her I would like a refund and she said nothing, just kept moving equipment, unbothered. I stood up to walk to the storefront to ask about a refund and she stopped me, saying "I have to take it out first." I sat back down, had the piercing removed and walked out without her saying another word to me. I asked at the front for a refund and they were quick to give me one without even batting an eye. I wasn't given back the deposit I had made for the appointment because it covered "the time slot and equipment used". So essentially I just paid $15 to get stabbed while having to deal with some of the rudest people I have met in awhile. 0/10 would not do again. read more

Went to the Manchester Medusa to get a nape piercing and the piercer was not there so they gave me a money off coupon and sent me to their Salem location. Tony did a great job and put the piercing exactly where I wanted it. A couple of months later, one of the balls on my bar came off while I was sleeping and I could not find it. I went to the Manchester location to get a replacement ball and while the employees at the register were wonderful, their piercer was not. I told her what had happened and said I was looking for a replacement ball and she asked me how long ago the piercing had been done. I told her it had been done a couple of months ago and she replied that I had no business changing the ball two months after the piercing. I said "did I not just tell you what happened? I was sleeping. How is this my fault?" She glared at me and walked away. She could definitely use some training to improve her customer service skills. What a witch. read more

my friend went to get their nose jewlery changed and bought two rings there and then they waited twenty minutes to get service and then another fifteen to get only one of the rings swapped. their experience overall was pretty negative, it seemed like the piercer was inexperienced in changing jewlery because it was very painful and bleeding, they have had this piercing for awhile and is definitely fully healed. read more

Got some sensitive piercings today in areas that I was pretty nervous about. The girl at the front counter made sure i was informed of all the aftercare before the piercing actually took place. I was taken into a back room with a friend and the woman who did the piercing was so calm and friendly. She made sure I was happy with where the piercings were going to be, and made it go very quick. Once it was done, she made sure I was okay before leaving the store. They had a promo going on for $15 all piercings, which was GREAT! I went to the location at Rockingham Mall. This location is not sanitary. They do not train their apprentices correctly on the process. The only ear I let them touch is completely lacerated and swollen. When I confronted the piercer with blood running down the side of my head about how he butchered my ear he told me, "The blood is your call. I can see how you can think I'm wrong but I respect that you don't know what you're talking about and I'm not gonna admit to your injury cause that would mean I did something wrong." My girl friend then continue to get a return for the botch and I went to clean my ears with some antibacterial from the CVS across from the store. When I came back for my money I calmly told him, "Sir, I'm not trying to be an ass. If you can please just return my money I will leave. This doesn't need to be difficult." He returned with, "You have two options. The first is I will not return your money and you can leave or the second is you can sue like your girlfriend said you will both do if I do not comply. I like the second option more because I will not admit I am wrong." If you are thinking about buying jewelry or getting a piercing go somewhere else or you'll be spending the rest of your day in the emergency room. Just to put out there that I know what I'm talking about I've been around professional tattoo artist and piercers for roughly 8 years now. I have many close friends who are professional artist and piercers and even own shops across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and New York. I went to Medusa in the Mall of NH in July to get my nose pierced. I knew I had wanted it and had done PLENTY of research online before hand. I had friends with theirs done and was fine. Went in about an hour before they closed on a Friday I believe it was. I had called before hand to see if they were still doing piercings that late and they were. They stop piercing after a certain time so make sure to call! The girl, cannot remember her name who, was pretty professional about the piercing. I got my nostril done and my sister got her 3rd lobes. Medusa told us that the lobes would be the cost of 2 cartilage piercings because where hers were was "technically" cartilage. I didn't believe that and I said something but apparently I know nothing. The spot that was pierced for my sister was COMPLETELY soft, just like the rest of her lobe. I didn't agree with their charging for two cartilage piercings but no one listened to me. My sister had hers done first and it put me at ease to watch her have hers done. The piercer was professional, fast, knew her craft. I went up for my nostril. Asked me what side, and if my work was okay with it. I explained it was fine and I wanted it on my right. She asked if I may ever want to wear a hoop in it and I said yes. She measured my nose and marked the spot so that I would be able to wear a hoop. The piercing was quick and relatively painless. They tell you to breathe in and on the out they stab you. I think getting my upper ear cartilage (helix) done at Claire's with a gun was much more painful. She told me that I needed an 18g 3/8th hoop. I got pierced with a stud, I should've gone for the hoop. It is now December and my piercing has been healed to me for a while. I changed it at about 10 weeks because it had been feeling great and no pain. I needed to change to a smaller screw because mine was way too long and I kept ripping out or catching it on something and it was VERY uncomfortable. I made sure to do my Sea Salt Soaks every single day, inside and out for 5 minutes. That really helps it heal, buy the H20cean bottle when you're there! It's not exactly cheap (9 dollars I believe for the big bottle but it is worth it if you don't want to make your own immediately) They also offer Titanium jewelry, mine was an additional 8 dollars extra. Just incase you don't know, Do not EVER put Sterling Silver in your nose, it will cause your hole to turn black and you can't get rid of that. Medusa doesn't even sell Sterling Silver I don't think so don't worry, but as a future reference, don't do it. I ended up buying a hoop at a different piercing shop that was closer. The lady at the other shop said that I was fit for a hoop. I told her that I was told I needed an 18g 3/8ths hoop. She brought me out one, cost me 18 dollars. Put that hoop in myself, WAY too big. I think the piercer at Medusa just measured wrong. I have since purchased 5/16ths hoops and they fit much much better. They fit snugly to my nose rather than dangling out in the middle of nowhere. Overall it was a good experience but I'm not sure I'd go back to get my other nostril pierced. My current one has healed absolutely fine with no problems, but just a few gripes with the place. Also, ALWAYS tip your piercer, they're doing you a service!!! UPDATE: I've since been to several different piercing places and have found Medusa's to be bottom of the list for me. Medusa's does not use an autoclave so nothing is 100% sterile. When you pick your jewelry they simply pull it from a cabinet there's no cleaning between cabinet and inserting it into your piercing. You don't know who has touched it, how clean their hands were, etc. I still like my nose piercing but if I could go back in time I'd definitely head elsewhere and get it done at a more serious shop. I wouldn't say they're professional anymore but I'm just going to leave the original review as is. read more
