Recently we had occasion to visit Pearson's to attempt to get a repair on a twenty-five year old watch that had been broken at a mall kiosk while the technician there was trying to change the battery. The salesman honestly discouraged us from getting a repair, and made an attractive offer on a new watch, however my wife felt the watch was precious to her and sought to have it repaired. After a couple of weeks, the store manager contacted her to tell her their jeweler had told him the watch wasn't worth repairing. She asked him to try again. He sent it to another jeweler, who told him he couldn't get parts for it. Although she is disappointed with the verdict of the jewelers who worked on her watch, we are both convinced that Pearson's gave her request serious effort and she is now satisfied that she cannot have a precious gift repaired. While she's sad, she is satisfied that every effort was made. We can't ask for more. The watches and jewelry in this shop were high quality fine work. We'd recommend them for the quality of their merchandise and their low pressure approach to customers and conscientious service. read more

Dave took my idea for a ring that I had been wishing for, but haven't found anywhere. He listened, then he began to draw. He designed my long-hoped for idea of a ring! I am so thrilled to see my dream ... my imagination ... made real. What an artist. Also, the price was incredibly great ... he even added larger stones because he thought it really needed them, but didn't charge me for them. I was taken back ... but ... I went in to get a watch battery changed. There was one clerk at the counter helping somebody so I stood quietly by then he looks at me with a look that tells me that I was an inconvenience and sighs, afterwards asking me what I wanted and I asked "do you change watch batteries?", the reply was yes but not today. Ok, but then I notice another person who comes out and said that they can change it and to drop it off and we'll call you. I thought this was strange since changing a battery is an on the spot thing and there appeared to be at least two or three people around. So I asked how long to expect, and the response was maybe 20 or 30 minutes which I thought was good, but then she said maybe not because I don't change them. Then the fella that originally said not today now said that he might be able to do it later. Not really a straight answer, if you can't do the job then fine and maybe recommend someone. The whole demeanor was not welcoming and I certainly felt that I wasn't a customer, rather that I was imposing. I get the impression based on my experience and some of the comments listed here that they really only want to sell watches and jewelry, so they to avoid providing service. Not very good business during the holidays, or at anytime for that matter. They did have some nice items on display but I won't be buying my next watch or any jewelry for wife from that place. read more

Not real psyched with the "customer service" I got last week. I brought a Citizen watch in to figure out what was wrong with it and was told, "this is an eco drive and I can't do anything with it. You'll have to send it to Citizen." Ok, fair enough. No big deal. But this first statement was followed up by, "I could send it for you but if it gets lost that's not our problem," and then after remarking that it had been a gift from my brother so I would see if he wanted to deal with it, I got a "He doesn't wanna deal with this. I don't really wanna deal with this." Why thank you, sir. Not only did you make me feel like an idiot for even CONSIDERING bringing my watch here (to a jeweler/watch dealer/watch repair shop...can you even imagine why I would think to bring it to them??), but you demonstrated that Pearson's really doesn't have the time, energy or desire to POLITELY help out a potential customer who is not in the watch/jewelry business and doesn't know much about watch repair. Just bought a BEAUTIFUL new old stock Rolex from David and his team. All that he promised it would be and perfect with inner/outer boxes, all original paperwork, great service, prompt shipping, etc. When I took it in to have a link removed at my local Rolex shop in California, they were envious of my new ticker. When we didn't find what we were looking for in the showroom the owner David went into the back for what he called the "Magic Box". From that box he pulled out an antique amethyst and ruby necklace and earring set! The set was beautiful and unique, a truly one of a kind find, the price was lower than what I would have expected. From that moment on I was hooked on the one of a kind treasures your can find in this store. Since then this is my jewelry store of choice. From my engagement ring to everyday sterling silver pieces, I can't count the number of times I have purchased items from this store. Everything is excellent quality and reasonably priced for the quality you are getting. Best of all my purchases included a complimentary insurance appraisal!
