I just wanted to leave a quick note here about MedVet. We are just heartbroken that we lost our little kitty. But we really want to thank everyone we came across at MedVet last night. Dr May and the support staff were really great. I was incredibly emotional and our kitty was very sick. They were all very great to have in such a stressful time. Dr May was exactly the vet we needed to consult with regarding our pets situation. We are kinda new to the area and very thankful we came across such a fantastic ER. Thank you to everyone at MedVet. Had to bring our girl in as she was loopy. Fortunately it was vestibular disease and not a stroke as we had feared. She stayed over night but was still wobbly the next morning. We've had her on motion sickness pills ever since and it has helped. They quickly got her processed for checkin and into an examination room. The techs were top notch and you just get the feeling they know what they are doing and have seen it all before. You hope you never have to come here but when you need them you are glad they are there. As for price, for me there is no price to take care of our girl. #353 read more

My puppy broke his paw. They quoted over $3k for the immediate surgery that was needed. They made me feel like the worst pet parent in the world because I could not afford the surgery and opted to have them put a splint on his paw. According to them, his paw would never heal without surgery. They lied and after 6 weeks in a cast, my dog is completely healed without surgery. read more

My dog was taken in and was suspected to have ingested something that made her vomit and lethargic. They quoted over $1700 to keep her and needed 1k up front Which we didn't have. They never actually examined my dog or run any test and still charged $110 for a conversation. I would have hoped at least running some sort of test would be an option to know what we were dealing with. read more

The care for our 2 dogs that were mauled was deplorable. The incident occurred on New Years Day @ approximately 0830-0930. Our dogs receive no antibiotics while they were in their care for almost 12hrs. One dog was bad enough that he required sedation to staple and suture multiple muscle and skin lacerations. I called to ask when the meds were due since no one there told us. They were sent home with pill antibiotics and pain meds which the worse dog refused to take orally until the next morning so he was with out antibiotics for almost 24hrs after the incident. His jaw is too powerful to open and risk being bit. I was a combat medic and a nurse in the military and my wife was also a vet tech for a period we know the importance of immediate administration of antibiotics immediately. I had called when we got home to find out when meds were due because no one told us. At that time they told us they can be given at any time b/c they didn't have any while under their care. I was also told the only pain meds they received was the worse one only during sedation. I asked why they were not given an antibiotic shot immediately due to bite wounds being the dirtiest type of wound. They stated the antibiotic injection was more expensive and the pill works as fast as the injection, that is if it is ever given. My dog that had several lacerations is now dealing with an infection which i'm hoping does not turn septic. Not really sure why a drain tube was not installed either. He was seen by my vet on Monday, January 1, 2021 and back there today dealing with his infection. This place does NOT care about your pet. If they had, protocol would dictate antibiotics be administer immediately. So after almost $1200 to the MedVet, almost $200 at my vet and waiting to find out if he will be ok and how much it will cost. Further damage could've been prevented if this place was not so incompetent and complacent. I REALLY would love to hear your excuse/response on this. read more

The vet tech Leslie either hates her job or people in general. Worst service I've ever had during an emergency. As I was checking out the front desk guy told me my bill was nearly $1,000. I said, "for a dog bite? I was there. What did they do for that cost?". "Oh sorry, yours is under $200, we have 2 dogs by the same name." Will NEVER take a pet there again. Waited 2 1/2 hours. We paid 5k to have our dog's knee surgically repaired there. About a week later his knee swelled up to the size of a football overnight. We called twice to get him in and both times they said we could come in and wait 6-8 hours for a doctor to free up. Apparently they don't take appointments...except the surgery was an appointment . They had no problem taking a credit card, but a tougher time caring about our animal after the fact. read more

Great surgery (dog lived) but minimal to no communication. In fact we just sat there for an hour trying to visit our dog and ended up Leaving after the receptionist said there were others in line ahead of us still (they had sick pets). Unfortunately this is the third time we've had a sock removed for from a dog. Their price - 4K - about double what we paid last time. read more

Medvet is a great medical facility that really cares about animals. They are quite pricey, however worth it they saved my dogs life. Dr. Hans is great and very knowledgeable in his field. The front desk staff are beyond rude, I even observed them being rude to one of the other medical staff who was assisting us. However the medical team is great and really care about animals. If it weren't for the high prices and rude front desk staff I would have given a 5 star. read more

I brought my dog through the ER on a weekend, and she ended up needing to be hospitalized. Hospitalization turned into needing surgery and my dog was in there for 4 days. The MedVet staff from 3 receptionists to ER technicians to surgery technicians were trashy and unprofessional in appearance and how they speak to you. There is a receptionist named Theresa who sounds like she has smoked 5 packs of cigarettes a day for 40 years. She uses improper grammar and words such as: brung, pissing, shitting, I've got instead of I have, and the list goes on. Theresa doesn't know her breeds of dogs and after telling her over the phone that my pet was a Havanese and spelling it for her, she asked whether it was a cat or dog. She also asked if she was "spaded" instead of spayed. Like seriously?! I at first thought a joke was being played on me, I was so shocked. I have taken many pets to MedVet many times and the staff has always been classy and have displayed the highest quality of professionalism. Maybe they have new management, but it just has gone downhill. Many of the technicians have visible, inappropriate tattoos, and rainbow hair that looks very unprofessional. Most of the technicians look like they have just rolled out of bed and not even brushed their hair or teeth. Some stated that they hadn't. But then there's 2 receptionists that I know have been there for at least 2 years, maybe 3: Stephanie and the other one I can't remember her name just that it starts with a W. They always treat me with respect, clearly know what they're doing, and look very professional. Every time I have seen Stephanie, she has on makeup, her hair styled, and just looks confident and put together. She is always so kind, compassionate, and her energy/vibe puts my whole mind at ease. The other blonde receptionist is quiet, but very capable. Why can't all of the receptionists be like these 2?! MedVet you are pushing people away by your staffing choices. I saw a receptionist at night when I was there to visit and I watched her get high on pills. I saw her take a handful of medication and shortly after was slurring her speech and looked stoned. As I was leaving, I saw her take more medication. This is something that needs looked into. Another receptionist was an older lady who was so scatterbrained and didn't know what she was doing. It made me feel sorry for her and for anybody who has to fix her mistakes. She's a mess. MedVet is a mess. read more

I discovered that my Boston terrier had gotten a hold of some Tomcat rat poisoning. I contacted a nice young gentleman at MedVet who explained all of my options to me. He told me that the typical protocol would be to contact the animal poison control center via phone which they would charge me $65-75 for advice on how to proceed. If they told me I should take him in, then I would be charged for an evaluation from the vet too. I decided to skip the poison control phone call and took him in around 10pm on Sunday night. I brought in the Tomcat brick he had chewed on and they were very upfront with me. They told me with an evaluation and if they had to induce vomiting it would cost me around $250. I agreed and they took my boy to the back room for an evaluation. Within 5-10 minutes they brought him back out and told me that they had done the math according to the Tomcat brick I had brought them and how much had been chewed upon. They thought it was such a small amount they didn't suggest to induce vomiting. I was so relieved and I asked the veterinary assistant how much I owed and she said nothing! I couldn't be more grateful for the immediate care and service I received! My first time there and I wouldn't hesitate to come back! read more

I have taken two cats to MedVet. They let me down both times. One was a cat in need of a dental procedure, a full mouth extraction. The diagnosis was absolutely correct. I was quoted $2000 - $2500. Dr. Lemmons, their "dental specialist" explained it to be a complex surgical procedure. My general practice vet told me this is an area where vet clinics commonly take advantage of customers. My vet did the procedure, including blood work, for just under $400. The cat is right-as-rain. Amazing how well they can eat with no teeth! So far my vet has done two full-mouth extractions. And I'm out just under $800 for both. Not $4000 - $5000. My vet charges the same for a cleaning as he does a full-mouth extraction. Further they said it was about the same amount of work as a dental cleaning, not a complex surgical procedure. So beware here at any vet, but especially MedVet. The second cat experienced some kind of neurological episode. Maybe a stroke. His pupils are permanently dilated. MedVet failed to diagnose telling me they had no one specializing in neurology. Maybe they do today. They told me the cat may have detached retinas. Should be able to determine that by simple observation. My vet did. He does not have detached retinas. Further confirmed by VCA. Said he could be blind. He is not. He chases ants. Can't be much harder to see than a tiny ant. Said he was in pain. He was never in pain. They told me he was crashing and advised euthanasia. I went in to put him down, took a look at the cat and to me it was obvious it was not his time so I brought him home. That was two years ago. The cat is around 19 years old today, eats (a lot), drinks, uses the litter box just fine. He jumps onto 30 inch tall counters. From there to the top of the fridge, and from there to the top of the wall cabinets where he has a favorite spot. Guess I was better at determining what the cat needed than the MedVet staff. Glad I ignored their recommendation. So I received a large bill and got nothing for it but a mis-diagnosis and meds I paid for but didn't need. They completely missed the boat on this one, big time. A waste of time and money and if left up to MedVet I would have unnecessarily lost my buddy. Since then he has had two years of high-quality life. He is active and happy as a lark. I have twelve cats today, all rescues. And if it was even close to his time, even today, I would help him cross the bridge. I won't let them suffer. Over the years I have had 30+ cats. All rescues. Some ferals, some strays. All abandoned. Most would have perished. After the proper care most went 15 - 18+ years. If you have an emergency go to VCA. I can't stress this enough. MedVet is a business first. Investors, venture capitalists, looking to make profits. With me they didn't seem to have a lot of passion. Your animal is secondary based on my experience. VCA is no more expensive and they excel at everything, unlike MedVet. I see a lot of good MedVet reviews from people that have one pet. That's hardly a solid data point. These people, although well-intentioned, have little point of reference. I've been through more than you can imagine with my animals over the years. Diabetes, Renal Failure, broken bones, serious infections, FeLV, anemia, operable and inoperable cancers, the list is long. Most I could save. And I know what a good vet looks like. And in my opinion, based on my experience, MedVet is not a good vet. VCA on the other hand, is outstanding. They've nailed it EVERY time, and they have state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and super-capable vets with a lot of passion for you and your animals. And unlike MedVet the receptionist doesn't tell me about minimum charges before I bring my animal in. What is MedVet's focus? I'd speculate $$$. read more

We had to take our elderly dog in a few weeks ago when she was not doing well. I was very pleased with the nice, comforting care we received. Everyone here was extremely pleasant to deal with during a very difficult time. No one ever wants to need to go to an emergency vet, but they made this experience as painless as possible. We even got a follow up phone call a few days later to check on our sweet girl. read more

In no way, shape, or form do I recommend this facility for treatment of your most beloved animals. After being hit by a car, we took our dog to MedVet. Preliminary x-rays were almost $1100. My wife was told there were no broken bones or major internal damage. She was told our dog would be available for pick up after 3:00 pm that day. While driving home to shower and change clothes she was called and told the dog's liver was lacerated...and he may need to be kept overnight...another $1700 (if no blood transfusion was required)...then most likely surgery...$6000...that "may" work. As the stakes got higher, so did the price. And I felt our emotions were being used as leverage to spend more money on a dying dog. Once we decided to put our beloved animal down, the medical staff was more than rigid and cold. (The admin people were great.) Stick to your vet as much as possible. Or develop a rapport with someone on the emergency side. This felt like a dying loved one was being used to syphon cash at every turn. read more

No one could have told me our cat Scratch could be saved, and make me believe it. He was diabetic, had ketoacidosis, his electrolytes were just depleted. He couldn't Process food, his body too weak to process it. He lost 1/3 of his body weight. He couldn't stand, urinating on himself. Dr. Rader said he could be saved. Reluctantly we went forward. We didn't want to see him suffer further. Dr. Rader and Jamie and I don't know who all cared for him. He is now 15 lbs. of pure spunk. Thank you for giving us our boy back! We love you all! Ironically I had to put my dog down 4 days earlier at another local emergency hospital. Drove my elderly parents to this emergency hospital as they had been here several times before and this time wanted humane euthanasia of their bulldog. They called ahead (from Kokomo). We arrived and I called and told the staff what parking spot we were in (per their signage). 15 mins later I tried the door - locked. 30 mins later I called again and was informed that they had called back to my parents' home instead of my phone that I called from and more importantly instead of walking outside to our parking spot?! They declined to do the euthanasia in the vehicle so we had to go inside the building. They put us in a room and took the dog to get her ready. They brought the dog back shortly and said when ready for doctor to push the doorbell button. Pushed the button three times. A staffer came to "check on us" and I said we pushed the button 3 times!?! The doctor then came in after another wait. The only positive out of this experienced was that they did bring the dog out afterwards in a nice cardboard box for them to take to the crematorium. All in all even with calling ahead, it took over 1.5 hours....even knowing the staff dropped the ball twice, there were no apologies ....it was an obvious and apparent total lack of compassion and understanding of the situation by this location and their staff compared to what I experienced 4 days earlier with my own dog at another local emergency hospital. Just felt so bad for my parents and about bit my tongue in half for their benefit so as to not make a horrible evening even worse. read more

Although you really never want to be here as it means your furry friend has a medical emergency or cancer, this is the place to go if Fido or Felix need emergency veterinary assistance. Our old dog was stumbling and vomiting with darting eyes, so our regular vet sent us here. Firstly, the front desk area is very welcoming and the staff really have everything down, from having paperwork ready to their welcoming, calming attitudes. The waiting area is really good: it's more open booth style seating, so you can have some privacy if you need it. The examination rooms are spacious and they write a welcome on the white board with the names of the vet and RVT that's taking care of your pet. Our dog ended up staying there for 24 hours and I was kept informed of how she was doing. The final bill was less than the estimate - when does that ever happen? The only downside is that they don't have a neurologist. Great emergency service with a nice professional caring touch. read more

My cat was very sick and we needed an emergency vet. The staff were not friendly, my cat spoiled the box and didn't even offer us clean tissues to clean the box. I had to go to the rest room and grab toilet papers and clean my cat. Since they didn't offer a replacement box, I had to carry my cat wrapped by toilet papers. The workers at this facility are excellent and extremely polite! My boyfriend and I took our dog to this 24 hour animal clinic and we were amazed on how quick and efficient they were. The veterinarian that worked with us, named Leslie, was very open and honest and gave us plenty of options and helpful tips. We definitely would not hesitate to revisit this place! Their vet techs were phenomenal and so sweet. It was obvious they loved animals and their job. They even wrote a welcome message on the dry erase board for my pet and stopped in multiple times during my visit just to pet him and see him. I was referred here by my normal vet and after looking at him they decided they didn't think that's what it was and the only option was a ct scan that was quoted at $2500-3600 just for a diagnostic. I understand that it might be needed but after the problem was found he'd still need treatment; which at that point would be impossible to afford. Also just the fee to walk in the door and be seen was $180. They also weren't very good about talking about their prices before any procedures were done so my bill was very high due to costs I didn't even know about. I was told they'd call me in a week to check on him and see if the antibiotics were working but the vet never called me to check on him and when I left a message for a refill they forgot about it and I had to call back again the next day. Even after the second round I was never called to see how he was doing and if anything else was needed. read more

This place saved our dog's life last year when he was shot due to a neighbor. They were all very nice and communication was excellent, they even texted me a photo of our dog post surgery. It is a bit expensive but considering all we had done, I didn't think it was that bad. They are the first person I will call if we have another emergency. read more

MedVet was absolutely amazing. Our poor mini dachshund had a severe allergic reaction to some type of bug bite and we were very worried about him. The medvet staff were very friendly and took him in their care immediately. Prices were surprisingly affordable considering it was basically a "Doggy ER"... I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. The next couple of days our pups face was still swollen and I was able to call and receive guidance from the nursing staff without coming in and paying more money when they just helped over the phone. Only positive thing I can say about this place is they saw me right away. Other than that, awful. My cat was seriously ill and getting sick as I walked through the door and the receptionist nonchalantly had me complete paperwork before a vet came up to see her. They took my cat and didn't tell me where or when I would see a vet. And the vet that finally did come had such poor communication skills it was absurd. read more

Couldn't have chosen a better place to take our sweet Shiloh to when her anal gland ruptured leaving a giant bleeding hole on her rear-end. It was after hours and our regular vet's prompts directed us to contact Circle City Vet Hospital. I called to see if they thought I needed to bring her in or if I should wait to see my vet in the morning. They were honest and said while I could wait, our dog was likely in pain and they could get her some pain meds and clean it up for us tonight. They were up front about the $100 emergency fee and said they would give us an estimate of costs when we got there. They were waiting for us when we arrived and were very friendly and sweet with our big sweet doggy. We were in and out within an hour and Shiloh did not seem scared. They gave her everything she needed and we ended up paying less than our quote because they ended up not needing to do as much as they thought they would. They emailed me discharge paperwork and also sent it to our regular vet so he can follow up. I hope to never have to take her to the ER again, but if we do, we'll definitely go back to this hospital! read more

It's taken me a year to calm down enough to write this. I didn't want emotions skewing my review. When I read other reviews that said things like condescending white jackets and unnecessary procedures I decided it was time. Money seems to be the biggest motivator here. I'm not complaining about what I paid (I personally couldn't have a dog if I were not in a position to handle any emergency), but the high $ unnecessary procedures is where I have a problem. My story (which by the way turned out good - because I got additional opinions): I had a 1 year old female GSD that had a leg injury late in the evening and had to go to an emergency facility. The vet we saw showed us some movement in the joint and told us that she had a torn CCL and would most likely need a TPLO (Highly evasive surgery starting at about 3k with a long recovery time). They made an appointment for us to meet with a surgeon the next morning. Low and behold the surgeon recommended surgery - initially as the only option. They wanted to sedate her to take xrays and hold her while she was coming to - now it seems that this was just milking a few more bucks having her lay in a crate but turned out to be a saving grace. During this time I reached out to my breeder (he has too much experience to outline here) and let him know what was going on. He's had young dogs with the same type of injury that he primarily restricted activity and when warranted an anti-inflammatory while they healed. One dog I knew personally that went on to have multiple working and show titles and retired with no signs of a limp. He didn't diagnose my dog on the phone, but suggested that I ask the vet if there would be any harm in waiting. When I went back I told the "diplomat" that I came to them as an expert and they were telling me surgery was the only option or she'd be in pain, develop arthritis and the partial tear would eventually be a full tear, on the other hand this is the personal experience of an expert with this breed and asked if she could understand my confusion. Wow, her whole demeanor changed and she seemed upset and shocked that I would question her. She said she didn't know what went on with the other dog but it's unlikely that it was the same thing. As suggested I asked if there was harm in waiting a month. By this point she was pretty dismissive and said it wouldn't be too bad and sent someone else in. The paperwork that they gave me when I left (and made me sign that I'd received it) had multiple treatment option, with the first being "medical management" - no surgery. I opted for this. During this time I wanted to start her on some hydro-therapy, and by the time I got home actually had a message from Circle City to schedule this therapy. When they found out that I wasn't going to have the surgery all of the sudden they didn't have an opening for a month. So I looked around and found the VCA hospital in Fishers. When I called and explained my situation they put me on hold for about 5 minutes, and I'm thinking here we go again, but they came back on the phone and said they were able to get ahold of a Dr. that would meet me there the first thing the next morning. During this time my husband has talked to our vet's office - who never saw the dog but based on the reports they were given - said we should really have the procedure and one of the therapist told him that this was a very common procedure, so now I have an emergency vet, a "specialist" surgeon, and a vet tech saying this is the way to go so I reluctantly agreed, all of the time just wanting what is best for my little girl. I asked my vet to recommend a surgeon as I already knew I wasn't going back to this lady. I was sick to my stomach on the drive there for her scheduled surgery. This vet asked me to take the dog outside so he could watch her move, so now I'm thinking why didn't the other surgeon ask this. When we come back in he says he doesn't think he can perform the procedure, but wanted to look at the x-rays (the ones that saved her from the surgery earlier). Anyway he said the x-rays were not that clear and had his assistant come and take my dog for a new set. It was a max of 10 minutes later that she walked back out with her! After looking at the clear xrays he said that he could "Not Ethically perform this procedure". I was really sick to my stomach now knowing I almost put her through this. I'm not sure but I think I could have kissed the man. He did go on to say that what the other doctors told me was not technically wrong, but not necessary. When my husband asked about the movement they showed us he said he could make that happen in any dog. His recommendation was to limit her activity for another 2 week then just Let Her Be a Dog. When I left he gave me a thumb drive with a copy of the clear xrays he took and my total bill was $90.00! We were visiting family in Indy when our dog's back flared up. Dr. Audo and her staff were WONDERFUL!!! We had been to another local Vet ER the afternoon before, and I was happy that they were not open at 2AM because that lead me to Circle City. She gave our dog a very thorough exam and discussed options with us. Since we were planning on driving home that morning, she provided medication that held him and kept him comfortable for the ride. We then followed up with our local vet in Texas the day after we got home. I wish I had came to Circle City first, I think my dog would have been more comfortable sooner. If I lived in the Indianapolis/Carmel area this would be my vet!! They even called us a couple of days later to follow up and see how he was doing!! read more

This is the 3rd time I have been here and by far the very worst! I have had a great experience here the others even though once I had to put my kitty to sleep. The staff has always been kind, caring and compassionate until this point! First of all the receptionist was quite awkward this time. I just dismissed this because she was still nice and I figure she was just a shy person. After making it back to the room we are greeted by a vet tech name Leslie. She was there to check over our animal became the vet came in. She was very rough and uncaring when it came to examining and then was questioning my animals rabies status when she became temperamental with Leslie. The reason my animal was getting that way was because of the care Leslie wasn't providing. Leslie actually got the whole staff scared to touch my kitty when they would come in the room. I have NEVER EVER had an incident with this cat nor does she have rabies. Ever other employee that ended up with my animal talked about how she was sweet and a good kitty. This is just the tip of the iceberg concerning this incident. I have spent well over $1000 in just a little over a year in emergency visits here. I think myself and my animals deserve more compassionate and respect then we were given on this visit. At this time I will be searching for a new place to conduct any further emergencies. They are lucky to receive a 2 from me and that is only because of the young lady Molly on staff, my dog was sick this evening 4/8/2016 he has a regular vet whose office was closed, I took my boy to this,place never did they check him for any thing, keep in mind he is 11 years old and a german shepherd,who are known to have hip issues, his regular vet Dr Brett Johnson at Keystone animal clinic has him on regular meds for all his problems, but rather then address the issues he was having they chose to surmise the issues they wanted, my dog was not eating and they said he has a limp we need to do x-rays for his hip, leg and chest and presented me with a bill on the low of 1,000 and the high 1500 and some change, however I seen you trying to charge me over board as I did not agree with this doctor My dog was not eating but he continued to o MedVET and after refusing their service my dog and I stopped at white castle and he ate the five no onion burgers and water I got him so it went from my pup is not eating to he might have a broke hip, Dr Crabtree never even looked at my dog, he showed no concern period drink milk and water he was constipated period I know my dog, He loved the ride to VCA and tabout the real issue, this place has seen a rise on people who will do for their animals, it was late at night as with my child emergency is where you go, if you can hold off till the next day do so and don't go to this place, these folk could have given my dog a enema and charged me five hundred bucks and they would have got that, people get a regular vet, who knows your animal and people like MedVet can't run game on you, and a real emergency is your pet getting hit or poisoned, other wise a regular vet is who you need. The doctor used a treatment that actually made my pet worse off. He would not call me back when I sent him a letter with my concerns. A second doctor there actually told me to use the treatment that the first doctor said to discontinue. I wouldn't take a pet goldfish there again. I wish I could rate it lower than 1 star. read more

I entered the facility around 1:00 pm on a weekday. The staff was very professional. I declined services based on their estimated fees. Services to remove a foreign body (wad of sewing thread) from a 14 year old feline and overnight monitoring was estimated at over $3,400.00. I sought services elsewhere, fortunately, surgery was not necessary, IV fluids, mild laxative and 24 hours of monitoring resolved the issue. However, I am certain that if I had accepted CCVS&EH services, surgery would have certainly been performed. Total cost for services elsewhere came to $157.18. Last year I had to take my dog here to get a tooth removed. She had a heart condition so they were very thorough with checking her heart before surgery to make sure she could handle it. Dr. Lemmons did the surgery and he was fantastic! Fast forward to a few weeks ago and my girl started having a cough. I took her to another vet and started meds for a heart condition that worsened. Over the weekend after seeing that vet, she had a hard time breathing and I took her to Circle City. She was admitted for the weekend. They let me come see her when I wanted and bring food for her to try to get her to eat, she was eating off and on but more off. They always called and gave me updates on her. I do wish they could be better about telling you when to expect a call, HOWEVER, it's an emergency vet so it's understandable it might be difficult to keep a calling schedule. We had to go back a few times after the initial weekend stay. She was admitted again over valentines weekend and unfortunately she didn't make it. They were very honest with me about everything they were finding, when her kidneys started to fail, how limited they were in treatment of her kidneys b/c of her delicate heart, and she may have ended up getting pneumonia. We could have tried to treat that but I felt like she'd already given up and I wasn't sure I could care for her with all her issues. All the doctors were very professional and helpful and answered every question I had. Made sure I understood what was going on as it was quite a lot and it progressed rapidly. The 2 vet techs that stood out to me were Jamie and Dani (sp?). They were both amazing and I was completely at ease when I knew they were watching my baby. I know Dr. Audo, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Fischer were all taking care of her in her stays there along with Dr. Radar keeping an eye on her heart. Over the weekend when my girl got worse, I know Dr. Radar was even available to the other doctors to talk to about her diagnosis. I do have to agree with the person who talked about having deep pockets. And it hurts to pay so much and still lose your pet, through no fault of the doctors and techs!! Honestly though, you get what you pay for. I knew, and my other vets reiterated, that there was no better place for her to be. She was getting around the clock care. I wouldn't have trusted her with anyone else. And if an emergency comes up with a future pet, I would definitely go back to this hospital. read more

The is the Best Animal Hospital!! We had to take our 5 month old Yorkie there with kidney failure. Dr. Owens immediately diagnosed her and took measures to save her life. I cannot say enough good things about the hospital and the staff. They were so caring and went above and beyond to save my puppy. read more

BEWARE!!!!! Staff at this place abduct, assault, & abuse your pet in their back room. They do not respect a guardian's legal right to make informed decisions. We lost our beloved Bella just a week after her visit at this place for a repeat ultrasound & surgical consultation. Her premature demise was not due to natural disease progression, as witnessed by family & other vet professionals. Dr. Stephen Birchard's aggressive & unauthorized procedures clearly hastened her demise. He didn't bother to even meet me before assaulting sweet Bella during a scheduled, non-urgent "consultation", performing unnecessary procedures causing great harm w/out my consent, knowledge, & against my direct wishes given to staff. Even worse, the owner, Dr. Terry Greishaber, refuses to officially acknowledge any wrong-doing on the part of the surgeon or facility, explain WHY the exam & procedures were ever done in the back in the first place, nor attempt to make any amends except to point out that I was not charged for the unauthorized procedures, as if that makes it OK & I should be grateful. Official spiel from CCVSEH: "We extend our apologies for the communication break you experienced and am sorry that you feel we did not have Bella's best interest at heart. At this time we will not be extending a refund, as we do not feel that the FNA affected Bella's wellbeing and the $227.21 charge was not added to your bill." Classy move, throwing a dollar amount in my face while blowing me off, right? Had this jerk showed some restraint & respect, our wonderful dog could have left on her own terms instead of pushed over the brink of no return after her visit to this incompetent place. In addition to the unauthorized invasive aspirate procedures causing severe tenderness/inflammation/irritation/enlargement of previously only mildly enlarged lymph nodes, staff caused razor burn during tummy shave, re-injured knee, & obviously used rough handling techniques causing unneeded emotional distress & head-shy afterwards. Our gentle girl did not deserve this horrible outcome & additional complications caused by what was scheduled as a "consultation". Since when does a consultation involve invasive action & no discussion w/the owner before-hand?! Visit @ your own risk...or @ the risk of injury and/or death to your beloved pet. read more

Do not use this Vet if you value your dogs life!! Took my dog in for surgery and she had enlarged lymph node. Before performing dental surgery, the surgeon had the oncologist pull an aspirate of the lymph node. I was told the node was "reactive" (i.e. not cancer) just so I would continue with the surgery and spend $$$. Without my knowledge the aspirate was sent to a pathologist and came back as Lymphoma (i.e. CANCER). Did anyone at Circle City bother to CALL ME or send me the test results to tell me my dog had a terminal illness? NOOOOOO!! I did not find out the aspirate was sent out for further review until 11 days after my dogs death. Cause of Death- LYMPHOMA. I hold Circle City 100% liable for my dogs death in that they did not provide me test results in a timely manner which precluded me from getting the treatment required to prevent pain and suffering. I only hope these people have some sense of remorse for directly contributing to the death of my dog!! read more
