    Watching the burgers being cooked

Didn't thing I could get a good burger at a gas station, I was surprised on what a great burger I got. The Toro Loco was outstanding. Should have tried their fries. Service was great and very friendly.

The owner is very personable. The business started in a food truck and then took over a historical buger spot. I personally think they are doing the spot justice. This is NOT your quick burger pick up: this man is portioning, cooking, and setting up the burgers TO ORDER. making what you get hot and delicious. Made with the love of a man who really seems to enjoy feeding his community and its visitors. The grill holds liike 16 patties and all the burgers are at minimum 2 patties so you do the math on how many he can cook at one time. The grilled potato salad is loaded with red potatoes, cheese, bacon, and chives then pressed in the grill. The burgers are smash burgers and have a beautiful crunch all around the outside. The bun is heated on the grill then given to his son who takes the care of a master artist putting all the ingredients for what his patron has ordered. The burgers were juicy and the patties have FLAVOR! I suggest bringing your patience as they get busy but all worth it in the end. Fries are cooked to order. Don't eat beef no worries they have chicken burgers too. So get over yourself and get a delicious burger from the gas station.

Double smash burger with whole sliced onions as a bun replacement and cold potato salad

Amazing food I love the hot potato salad but think the cold potato salad is weird since it's just sour cream based. The burgers are always flavorful and good I got mine with whole sliced onions as my bun and it was fabulous!!! They don't offer it on the menu but I would highly recommend they start doing onion and lettuce for bun replacements for people who don't eat gluten and such. Wait time is LONG they're super busy and crammed into a little marathon they definitely need their own restaurant to keep up with the business they get. We waited an hour for 2 burgers we called in and it was a 30 minute wait time. So definitely something to take into consideration. But for the price and quality of food it was well worth the wait if you have time. I'm a local in the area and would love to go here more often but right now TikTok is blowing them up! Hopefully they get a better place soon, they deserve all the hype!

Words honestly don't do it justice. This place deserves to be highlighted, underscored, and shouted from the rooftops. The best smash burger on the planet. Quality ingredients, amazing people, and everything you love about a true local small business. Take a bow, Meeks Kitchen!

This is a hidden gem! If you've been searching for the ultimate smash burger, then THIS is the place! This is our go-to place when craving a burger. Burgers are flavorful and well cooked, seasoned fries are delicious, locally made cheesecakes are decadent, and the owner and his family are a pleasure to speak with. Don't forget to add an egg to any burger! And don't let this location or the prices fool you...these are gourmet burgers! Fill up your gas tank and your belly at one stop. It will be your go-to spot for burgers and you'll be looking forward to your next visit before you've left the parking lot. We can't recommend Meeks enough!

This food truck was parked at hubby's work, in Newport TN. Since most the areas restaurants are closed due to Helena's damage, this was a godsend for the area. This is on their facebook, page. Farm raised grass fed beef! Gourmet burgers, artfully crafted and have an upscale vibe. We are family owned and operated., creating our rig from the ground floor up. We take pride in great food from high quality ingredients. Hubby got the Black & Blue. With blackened seasoning, crumbled blue cheese, 57 sauce, crispy onions, chipotle aioli, spring mix, tomatoes. And it comes with seasoned crinkle seasoned fries. He said it was delicious, juicy, tastefully done.

Always excellent food, when you go be prepared, they stay busy but get the food to you pretty quick. It is in a gas station so there is limited seating. It's fun to watch the owner and his kids work the grill! Great place and you have to try the loaded grilled potato salad if it's not sold out when you go!! The big boy gourmet burger is excellent but I've tried most of them and everything excellent!! For desert get the homemade cheese cake from La Creme

The Outlaw and grilled loaded potato salad

Amazing burgers! Heard about this place from a friend and it does not disappoint. Love the grilled loaded potato salad too! Everything is hot and fresh. Owner/workers are all super polite and do a great job. I love supporting this local business. They need a standalone store. They would do very well!

    A1 Steakhouse
    Chloe M.

Great fresh smashburgers. Was not a fan of my burger (A1 Steakhouse) because there wasn't enough aioli and the lettuce/tomato really dominated the flavor. My husband had the Oklahoma and it was great! Overall good burgers and the bacon is super thick cut.

We had heard about their burgers on Facebook. We stopped by while enjoying our vacation. We got a couple of burgers and they were very good and high quality. Definitely will be back when we're back in Pigeon Forge.

BBQ Steer Burger with Hot Potato Salad

I seen this place thanks to a YouTuber I watch and wanted to try it. We were definitely glad we did. The young man at the counter was so polite, friendly, helpful and overall a nice kid. The loved the burgers plus the Cajun fries and hot potato salad. We came back the next day and the food was on point again. Customer service is great from everyone and food was so good. We end up going on the last two days we were in town or might have went everyday. Prices are very affordable and worth every penny(well I guess nickel now). We come every year and now this will be a must.

I ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer only to have it delivered with batter so thick you could not find the tomato, and the batter had a fishy taste like the grease had also been used for frying fish. They were just not edible. When the waitress came to ask us how we enjoyed them, I told her there was too much batter and the grease tasted fishy. She didn't say a word, turned and walked away. You could tell her "How was it?" Inquiry was automatic and not a genuine concern for how the customers were enjoying the meal. It didn't get better. My grilled pork chops were tough, overcooked, and lacking any flavor. I could only eat one of the two provided. The pinto beans lacked any seasoning, but the coke slaw was good. My wife's pork chop was fried, and was better. It was cooked as it should have been. But her Mac and cheese was gummy and had an odd flavor. The cornbread was dry and not good. A friend who ate with us had Country Fried Steak. He said the steak was passable, but the gravy was disappointing. No onions at all in the gravy. This was not a good eating experience, and with the waitress's attitude, it was an almost a total flop. The sign at the entrance tells it all.

We finally decided to see if the busyness of the restaurant was a better indicator than the reviews we had seen. We ordered to go. A large BBQ Chicken Pizza with half of it substituting jalapeños for the onion. We also ordered a large Whole Hog. These are thin crust pizzas. The host said the bartender was next door restocking and would be back soon to take our order. We waited around ten minutes for her to return. She came back with some beer and became preoccupied for a few moments with a scratch and commented that she couldn't believe she was bleeding. Not what you want to hear from a restaurant employee. The place was extremely busy with a line waiting for a seat, so when the bartender who took our order said it would be 40 minutes, we weren't surprised. We left to get some groceries while waiting and returned about thirty minutes later. We sat in our vehicle and waited. We saw the bartender come out and look at cars as tho looking for someone. We waited a few more minutes then went in. Our pizzas were on the bar. They were finished early. The issue we have is this: the bartender is the only one who will help at the bar. She was very busy but the staff around her wouldn't even look our way in spite of trying to get their attention. The pizza was already paid for and we just wanted to have it given to us and get it back to the cabin before it cooled too much. Didn't happen. 5-10 minutes later, we left with the pizzas. Seems they could have a better way of handling to go orders. The pizzas were tasty. The BBQ chicken could have stood a lot more chicken on it. The Whole Hog, on the other hand, was loaded... with a whole hog, it would seem. That was a winner. We would give it a go again but I think we would try the burgers. We saw them being delivered to tables and they looked amazing. Would I recommend? Yeah. Just don't be in a rush.
