The room was set up to be very relaxing. As Gigi put facial products on my skin, one of the products started to really burn and tingle on my face. When I expressed this problem to Gigi, she was quick to remove the product from my skin. I'm not sure what products they use here but that was the first time I've ever had that happen to me while I had a facial (and I've had a lot of facials). The rest of the facial was pleasant. I however haven't been seeing results so I read all the reviews here and decided to give Faye a call this past Tuesday. I wasn't expecting to be able to be fitted in within 24 hours but Faye had room due to a cancelation so I grabbed the appointment and I'm so grateful that I did! Based on my issues with hyperpigmentation and dull skin Faye decided to start with micrdermabrasion followed by a light peel and then an ipl infrared laser treatment. I hadn't had microdermasion in ages because it's become less popular at most medical spas so I was pleased to see how much brighter my skin looked and noticed the pores on my nose shrunk a bit too. The peel was allowed to penetrate deeper after the microdermabrasion treatment and the laser was administered to help lighten some of my troublesome dark spots that are on my cheeks. Overall I'm deeply satisfied with the results and I highly recommend Skin Deep spa for anyone seeking an authentic anti aging treatment that actually gives you instant results. It certainly wasn't the degree of improvement I had hoped for. One of the reasons I continued returning to this practice for Botox was because they advertised a 20% discount on office procedures for facelift patients. Their Botox prices have always been considerably higher than many competitors, but I accepted that because I believed I was receiving the promised discount. At my most recent appointment, I was quoted $1,200 for Botox--approximately double what I had paid previously. Only after I arrived was I told that the 20% facelift-patient discount no longer applied because it had been more than one year since my surgery. That expiration was never disclosed to me beforehand, nor was I informed of the significant price increase when I made the appointment. After investing $30,000 with this practice, I expected more transparency and a greater commitment to patient loyalty. If the discount expires after one year, that should be clearly disclosed from the outset. Likewise, if prices have increased dramatically, patients should be informed before they come in for their appointment. My advice to prospective patients is to discuss expectations thoroughly, ask for all pricing and discount policies in writing, and verify the current cost of follow-up treatments before scheduling.
