I loved the vibe of Megabytes. It's casual and quirky. It's in the middle of an office park and is pretty crowded with working people around lunch time. I got the lemongrass chicken banh mi and it was SO good! The chicken is curried and a little spicy and the vegetables are pickled. It was really filling. However, the mango peach jelly tea was sub par and not worth the $3.50 in my opinion. You get a boba straw for the tea since the jelly pieces are sizable. My friend got the spam masubi and she really liked it but you only get 2 pieces so keep that in mind when ordering. She also got the Vietnamese iced coffee which was very good and I definitely recommend it. The service was great and your food gets brought to your table (which I didn't expect from a casual place like this). The owner is really smiley and seems to care about your eating experience. There's a corner with a bunch of video games (mortal combat, Mario, and Pacman to name a few) and the decor is techie oriented - they have actual circuit boards covering one of the walls :) read more

However, every time I've eaten here I've left disappointed. The service is slow for an order-at-the-counter shop. The food is underwhelming. I'd say poor execution of great ideas. For example, the seafood and pork udon was full of fish sauce and fake crab. If it had just been pork udon, it would have been great. Came here to grab lunch and immediately thought the restaurant/atmosphere was fun! The walls are lined with computer chips, you can play super smash bros in the corner, and overall just a cool theme. Service was also really good and the staff is very friendly. This spot has been on my radar for awhile, but since Megabytes is only open 7-3 during the week it's hard for us to visit. This past Friday we had the opportunity to stop in for a late lunch. The space is large, light, open and clean. The menu offers a great variety with a nice creative twist. The food is absolutely delicious. Love the computer parts décor and the Nintendo machine if you want to play. The staff is super friendly and keep the place spic and span. Ordering, with the exception of actually picking out what I wanted to try, was simple - order at the counter and they deliver to your table. After our food was delivered, someone came out and checked to ensure we liked our food which was a nice touch. My husband had the Total Piggy with fries. This was two deep fried, bacon wrapped Nathan's hot dogs on a French roll with mayo, lettuce and tomato. He really enjoyed this decadent treat and the fries served with were crispy and well flavored. For the dogs being deep fried, the sandwich was not greasy in the least. I ordered the Mega Hot Bahn Mi - spicy tender pork with cabbage, carrots, cucumbers and cilantro - all stuffed into a French roll. I have not had a Banh Mi sandwich before, but this was a slice of heaven. The pork was so flavorful and juicy - although I want to try other things from their menu, I would be hard pressed not to order this sandwich. I rarely eat more than 1/2, but I devoured this one much to my husband's surprise. We also shared the Mega Hurt rolls. They were crispy and served with a dipping sauce. WHOA. You know that scene in the Pixar movie Ratatouille where the snobby highly revered food critic comes to the restaurant and Remy makes a plate of ratatouille and upon the first bite, the critic is sent back to memories of his childhood? Well I think I had that moment earlier today at Megabytes. For weeks now, I've been hearing from friends about how awesome this place is, and for some reason I had never made my way out to eat there. Then today, I randomly thought to go try it. And now I'm disappointed that I waited so long. Everything about this place screams of earlier food memories in my life. I tried the spicy pork banh mi with cheesy tots. The sandwich was amazing. It was like the best spicy pork bulgogi I'd ever eaten put into one of my favorite Vietnamese foods, the banh mi sandwich, complete with all the fixings. The tots made me feel like a kid again. Since it was my first time dining here, I wanted to try as much of the menu as I could so I also tried the mac and cheese egg roll and the spam musubi. The musubi was great just like how I would make it at home. The mac and cheese egg rolls were kinda weird, I wasn't too fond of the combination but it was a unique try to say the least. All of the food had that college hangover-esque flavor to it which makes me wonder why this place closes so early as they could probably make a ton of money during late shift hours. I'm not saying stay open all day, but maybe reopen for that 12-3 am crowd. All in all, this place was amazing and I can't wait to come back here earlier next time to try their breakfast. A small hidden gem. They offer a wide variety of food here ranging from sandwiches, burgers, spring rolls, bahn mi, tacos, rice dishes, and more! They are Korean owned so they do have a Korean taste spin to their food. I have tried their pork belly bahn mi and it reminded me of a Korean BBQ dish flavor on the pork belly on top of Vietnamese inspired bread, pickled veggies, etc. I have also had their spicy chicken and rice dish and the flavor of the chicken was very similar to the pork belly in the bahn mi. Not complaining, but it was definitely more Korean inspired than anything else. Oh btw, they also have nintendo games in the back side that you could play. I'd say give this place a try. I wanted to give this place another shot before I wrote a review even after the waiting debacle but after my friend and I tried the food, I just can't bring myself to do so. My wife and friends have been wanting to try this place but it's hard to get to during the week and it's only open on certain Saturdays. Got a chance to come on a Saturday - ordered two orders of the pancake sandwich with sausage and two orders of the spam musubi. There was a couple there waiting for their order as I arrived. After placing my order and 10 minutes in (being generous) the husband was getting a bit antsy and I wasn't too pleased either that it was taking this long. I started to think "if this couple is still waiting here, how much longer am I going to have to wait". He and I continued to wait and five minutes later he asked for a refund. It got to the point where a lady who worked there looked at me confusingly and said "you've been here for a bit" and said she would check on my order. At one point the cook noticed I was there for a while and asked for my name to make sure my slip was in and it was. He did mention that my food was on the way a couple of times. The poor order takers probably even felt bad because they gave me the "your food is almost ready" too. Overall my order took close to 20-25 minutes. The Food was underwhelming. My friend and I actually both didn't eat the deep fried pancake and instead just broke it open to eat the sausage and egg inside. The musubi was good, but nothing special. I'm sure it usually doesn't take this long for an order and this one time was an anomaly and if the food was great I would definitely consider giving it another shot. But the wait time teamed with the quality of the food will not bring me back. read more

This is a great spot tucked in an industrial plaza off route 50 in Chantilly. Their menu speaks to many of my guilty pleasures, offering a fusion-style menu that springboards off American cuisine. Their food comes out colossal in size, loaded with fresh ingredients, and is perfect for lunch on any day. This place is busy and hopping every time I come, the service is friendly and great amidst the pressure of all the action, and the food is piping hot and fresh every time. There are a few parking spots available right out front. The line inside will form very quickly and stay long if you come after 12. Customer service has been less than ideal. Once I came at 11:30, and I was fifth in line. I wanted only two things, the rolls and a banh mi. I got to the counter, super excited to state my order, but after I said it once, the guy taking my order asked me to repeat it three times. Then, the phone rang and he took the phone call when I was waiting with my cash and exact change in my hand in front of him. I was ignored for about 2-3 minutes as he was confirming that person's order; he asked him/her to repeat the order several times before hanging up. He finally took my money after confirming my order one last time. I thought, "man, this is annoying." Maybe this is why the line is always long. The place has several tables if you want to eat there and some arcade games as others have mentioned. Pricing isn't bad at all for lunch. Great lunch spot! I came here one afternoon with my friend to grab a quick bite. She had been here before, and wanted a lunch buddy. I had the bacon cheeseburger, she had the burrito, and we shared the chili tots. I was pleasantly surprised the burger came on a toasted piece of french bread. IT WAS AMAZING! The chili tots were on point as well, the chili was just spicy enough, and the tots were cooked just right! The techy decorations and the video games bring this place together. I have been here twice for lunch and I will be back. The Spam Musibi was pretty good although not quite up to Hawaii standards. I think they need a little more sauce so it runs off the meat and down into the rice. There is a nice addition of egg between the spam and the rice and this will make a great breakfast for me someday soon. The Chicken teriyaki was average. The Bahn Mi was wonderful. A super fresh roll with a generous portion of meat and condiments. The staff here is as friendly as the other reviews state and they try very hard to ensure you are satisfied.
