Second move review: this time we had a bigger move into a much bigger space and Megamen delivered flawlessly. All of our possessions were wrapped and unscathed by their team painstakingly and they five movers were all respectful and courteous. The Phone office was polite, but the service was terrible. The truckers demanded all payment upfront and then stated that would be twice as expensive. Despite the fact they had photos, and AND had already seen them. Best experience I've ever had with movers. And I've probably used movers in the Boston area 5 different times. Matt responded quickly to my request for a quote and came out the next day to assess the move. We were going from 4 bedroom to 4 bedroom house with lots of items in storage, a piano, treadmill, huge cast iron grill/smoker... etc. Matt recommended 1 large truck, one small truck, 2 crews and said 8-10 hours, several large wardrobe bags and gave us a reasonable quote. They showed up to get started right on time on moving day. Matt, Tyrone, the two Tims and Taylor (I think were the names) were all courteous, friendly and had a good sense of humor - which helps on a long moving day. It was also clear that they all had genuine care for our belongings - they weren't just going through the motions. All of our furniture was well wrapped and protected. They laid down runners in both houses to minimize the tracking of mud and salt from the previous day's snowfall. Most importantly though, they finished the job within the time frame allotted, at about the cost quoted, and there wasn't any damage to any items or houses. I don't think I've ever had any single one of those objectives met before in a move, let alone all of them. This is a well run business, staffed with professionals, and I would highly recommend them for your next move. We had move that was somewhat last min. but close by ( just a few doors down). After calling several companies I decided on Mega Men. They had a very competitive price, they didn't want to try to charge me for things I didn't need, they even stopped by to give an accurate estimate rather than just guessing. Day of could not have gone smoother. They showed up right on time. The men who came did not stop moving the entire day. There was a lot of stairs involved and it was warm out.
