I really like Meijer. So many choices, great prices, and clean! I am sad that they don't do grocery pick up right now though. I would definitely give them a try if they offered it. This is a great location for Meijer for the west side of Indianapolis. It is very well lit and in an area of a LOT of grocery stores and restaurants. This area is developing very quickly. The inside was a typical meijer. They don't have many of the special shopping carts that are smaller or the ones with the red chairs you can sit in while looking through your grocery list, just a lot of the normal carts. The bathroom was clean too. They had 10 for 10 and 11th item free items in their ad but only a handful to choose from. Not enough for me to want to buy 11 items. Later on same day I ended up at the Carmel Meijer and noticed that they had alot more selection of sale items. Actually the ad was 12 pages instead of 4! Didn't realize that sales were different at different Meijers, but the people here are getting jipped! Sign said 90% off all christmas stuff and they did not give it to me! They said their sign was wrong it didn't apply to everything. Everyone was nice but the cashier called 6 different people and no one could confirm or deny the pricing. read more

Honestly, I cannot think of 1 negative thing to say about this Meijer in Avon. I have ran into the issue that some items have gotten out of stock, but it's never a problem knowing that it just ran out & will soon be restocked. BTW, fruit & veggies are always fresh & never spoil the day after like some other places. By a day or two the shelves are full again. The self checkout line has always made my wait time a breeze, and the few times they have been super long, it still has been faster than waiting in a regular (more than 15 items) line. Store is always looking clean, and though I try at all cost to avoid any public restroom, Meijer's restroom have never left me feeling icky to be in. I LOVE their variety of International items and always snatch up the sales & good deals around the store for that day. Oh, and Customer Service have always been very friendly & helpful. Although the greeters have a time or two given a silent pale poker face, I don't blame them at all!! I may end up the same after greeting & grinning the 2,999th customer walking through that door whilst standing for hours. So glad we have this Meijer conveniently located near us where I can quickly run to find last minute items, especially when unexpected guest decide to stay & chat. read more

I needed some lemonade for my son's garage sale lemonade stand and we needed some country time lemonade mix. I stopped in to see the good folks and discovered one country time brand and the store brand so I bought both and found out that the store brand tasted better. wow!store brand! read more

Associates are not there for the customers. The store was dirty, nasty. Check outs were closed except one with about thirty to forty people waiting to checkout. Even the self checkouts were filled I waited over an half hour to checkout. read more

This is a brand new Meijer location in McCordsville. We stopped in during their grand opening weekend for some lawn and garden supplies. It was refreshing to shop a big box store of any kind where not only were there ample employees on the clock to help the customers, but they were friendly with each other. Alright, I have managed to check in here 50 times, I suppose I owe it a review. So Meijer is a pretty standard chain store, but it works well for my husband and I for the most part. Here is what I like about Meijer: - Not super crowded [most of the time]. Even when busy it just doesn't seem as chaotic as Wal-Mart which is a huge plus to me. - Mostly logical layout which doesn't change often so we can find what we need fast. - MPERKS! The coupons in the mPerks system are mostly helpful, unfortunately, a lot of them seem to be for processed name-brand stuff so we don't buy a lot. We do occasionally and there can be some nice savings. The best part of mPerks is the cash back rewards feature, this basically means that if you spend $__ in *insert department here* You get back $__. This an really add up to some nice chunks of money off your next purchase! Highly recommend getting set up with an mPerks account. - Most, but not all, of the time the lines are not ridiculous to check out, probably because it is not jam packed with people. -Pretty much every worker is competent and friendly. This is refreshing in a big box store. What I don't like: -Selection, for whatever reason Meijer seems to lack in variety of items available, or maybe it is just for things my husband and I like. For example, I love a certain type of almonds and Meijer does not carry them or even similar options. This also includes limited edition flavors of stuff. Guess it keeps me from buying limited edition junk food, haha. We also sometimes fall in love with an item and then they suddenly stop carrying it. This could obviously happen for a variety of reasons but it is a bummer how often it happens to us. -Stock, sometimes, when a good sale is running, stock runs out fast. Bummer but not a huge deal. So, it is all in all, we like Meijer mostly out of convenience and their mPerks system, but it is a fairly predictable type of store. read more

The manager needs to train his employees for better customer service. i have been going to Meijers in Avon for my biweekly shopping, since recently moving to Indiana, a year ago. For the first time I went to customer service to return some items that were totally unsatisfactory. I explained to the gal that I had cooked one of the items, and after cooking the required time and temperature, it was inedible and I had to throw it away, so I was returning the other two. She gave me a look which silently said, Yeah, right, I know you are lying. When she gave me my receipt, I looked at at the amount, which only totaled the sum of 2 items, not 3 items as I had explain, and did not give any credit for the tax. read more

The most helpful staff I have met anywhere in over a year! Kudos to them for helping me find a bizarre request; she was stocking children's backpacks and knew right where to look. MEM only has WalMart that would be comparable in scope to Meijers. Then the second employee directed me perfectly in the pharma section. I would like them to come to MEM and give Wally World and Kroeger some real competition. This Meijers looks a little run down from the outside but don't let that deter you. Full grocery and department store in one and CLEAN! Not what I'm used to in MEM at Kroeger or Wally World. I also picked up a nice fully lined rain coat with a hood for $35 just in time for the E5 derecho. read more

When I moved here there years ago the Meijers on Rockville Road was undergoing a remodel.. I had been told how great the store was. It was good in the beginning. But it has deteriorated a great deal! I decided to try one more time early on a Sunday morning. No improvement. One checkout open! A man asked a customer service person if they could open more. It wasn't done. I was in the self service line which also took an extremely long time. Many shelves are not replenished. It doesn't matter when you go. If I have to go to another store to acquire the items that they don't have, I might as well purchase them all at the other store! The pharmacy is just as bad. You can wait 15 minutes or more with only one person in front of you. The Meijers in Plainfield is much better. read more

This store is awesome and I truly wish there was one in Memphis. They have such a great selection of items from a very well stocked pharmacy, to groceries, to clothing, office supplies, etc, etc, etc. And I must tell you that the midwest work this is so strong in this store. The people were extremely polite and more helpful than any staff I have experienced in quite a long time. Everyone we came across not only knew their department, but it seemed as if they knew were everything was in the entire store, and this store was HUGE. There is no store anywhere around Memphis that offers this many items with this professional and nice customer service. read more

Well, this store seems like they care about customer service, but if you really have a problem, they're just like every other subpar store around. First of all, don't put big signs saying you guarantee fresh rotisserie chicken every day ( or get the next one free), if you don't stand behind it. The lady I questioned behind the counter was rude and sarcastic. At least Giant Eagle doesn't promise that stuff, so you are not expecting any positive response, but I got no apologies and she said I could just go hunt down the store manager if I thought I should get a free chicken. Meijer has a nice selection of products for a good price. This is where I go for the majority of my weekly grocery items. I eat tons of produce, organic, low calorie type foods, and Meijer has an excellent assortment for a cheap. The store is busy, so we are cool and shop here on Friday nights - nice and peaceful! You get some great deals if you sign up for Meijer Perks, and you can cut online coupons and use deals like %5 your entire purchase. When compared to Walmart or Kroger, I think Meijer is a much better steal. The clothing does suck, but for grocery items it's great. read more

Expect to wait in line 15+ minutes regardless of when you come to the store. You can shop literally at 10pm and you will wait a ridiculous amount of time to check out. Meijer refuses to pay a living wage. Because of this, they can't keep a decently sized pool of employees that are needed to handle their volume of customers. Capitalism at it's finest. I have to tried to use this Meijer a couple of times. Ends the same way every time. I go in to use the motorized wheelchair, they are super slow, really worn out. The Shipt people step right in front of the wheelchair, like the shipt people are more important than the rest of us. The employees at Meijer are nice, but this Meijer has really long lines, and does not open registers to solve that problem on even a temporary basis. Please do not have 30 registers, if you plan only to use 3 regular one and 10 self serve ones. This makes your store look really bad. Also, this store has a big problem with people and cars rushing through parking lot even when others are trying to back up. Parking lot is always dirty, and outside of building is dirty and looks very old. This is not the Meijer way. I am truly disappointed in you Meijer. Meijer you have let down a long time loyal customer. I try to talk to Management about long lines, but the answer is always the, we are short staffed, stop trying to save money, and keep your customers happy. read more

The prices are usually lower on the stuff I buy, but I wish they price matched. Other than that, I'll continue to do most of my shopping at Meijer. The self checkouts make shopping trips quick and easy. Oh...and I wish their Meijer app was easier to use. I've quit trying to use coupons from there. This Meijer store is one of the worst stores I have ever been to. I spent 20 minutes in electronics looking for some blank CD's and not one of the three employees over by me came to offer assistance. When I asked about getting some help to find the product the employees walked away like I didn't even ask a question. When I talked to the store manager he blew off my complaint as if I was making it up telling me he had no employees in electronics when i had seen three standing in front of the electronics department standing around "shooting the shit". Quite often out of stock on key advertised items when the ad breaks...happy to write a rain check if you have time to go to customer service and wait. Carl in the meat dept is great to help with any meat dept item you may need. I find the store difficult to shop and often products not priced.... be prepared to find items closely dated in perishable depts.... have been told there are no reductions until the last day of shelf life.... plan to use those items right away. I find pharmacy staff to be cold ....not at all like the Kroger staff which go out of their to assist customers however they can. read more

Currently standing in a mass of people trying to checkout because there are only 2 regular lanes open and the rest are self checkout but 5 of those are 12 items or less. This happens every time I am here which is why I try to go out of my way to Kroger when I can. Waiting 15minutes so far and no additional lines have been opened. read more

The deli is not purgatory, it is hell. Today my husband timed his time there, it was 19 minutes, he was second in line and there were two people working. What is wrong with management, do they not know what is going on. Go and look at the faces of the people standing and line and see the frustration in their faces.
