You will not be familiar with the brands but they will taste like brands you love. A few things will disappoint but most of things will delight. Before when I came here I only bought a few things so I didn't get the magic of the place. So many years later I decided to try a different strategy and just go for it. So glad I gave it real chance to prove itself. I found great produce like tomatoes and greens, great desserts like cinnamon rolls and alphabet cookies, great meat like chicken breast and turkey slices. 80 percent were things I will buy again. The few misses were chips and salsa, grapes, cheese, and a few others things. You have to pay a quarter for the grocery cart that you get back after returning the cart, they don't bag, bring you own or buy theirs. I now embrace unfamiliar brands and explore new things. It has worked well so far and advise you to do the same. As The Monkeys old song said "I'm a believer"!

I also went looking for cherry-flavored Carmex. They only had the one that came in a variety pack of three- I believe the other two flavors were strawberry and peppermint. My preference is for cherry by itself, thus I went without purchasing any this time around. I wasn't greeted by a Wal-Mart employee but that's likely because the opportunity didn't present itself. Ollie's doesn't sell wine (or any alcohol, for that matter). Too bad! But if you're in the market for discounted boxes of Hungry Jack mashed potatoes, bird feeders, comforter sets, off-brand slider storage bags, water guns and neoprene gloves, Ollie's is your store. There's a lot of stuff everywhere, and honestly, it's a little overwhelming. Ollie's takes a page from the Aldi playbook: There are just ripped open boxes of items on the shelves. To heck with aesthetics -- Ollie's is too busy saving you money to fiddle around with arranging items on a shelf nicely. I stopped in to get some lotion, and wouldn't you know, I could only find one bottle of lotion in the whole store.
