They also have a small play area, which is nice if you have kids with you and have to wait for your prescription. There have been times when they have not had a specific prescription and were able to order it and have it ready the next day. Lindsay is beyond helpful. She's great at answering questions for prescriptions as well as otc meds. I actually asked her about bandages...after a surgery, I needed to change dressings, but the bandages were seriously irritating my skin. After finding one specific type of bandage that worked for me, I asked Lindsay if they had any. They only had one or two rolls in stock, so she ordered me several and kept special ordering them as long as I needed her to. She's always friendly and helpful. The front staff is usually great too. I took one star off because I recently needed a prescription that they didn't have. They said I would need to call different pharmacies to try to find someone who had it. I honestly didn't even know where to begin...It was already a very stressful situation and I think it would have been nice of them to call to find someone who had it since they were out. Other than that, we are pretty pleased with our small town pharmacy.

This place…read moreis usually super busy, I have never waited less than a couple people in front of me, but the pharmacists and techs could not be more patient or helpful. Typically at less one person in front of me is in a rush or has an issue with something or frankly an attitude with the techs. Every time I have come, they have acted with patience and kindness and took all the time needed to make sure people understand the issues they may be having or the delay in their medications. And they always apologize to me if there has been a delay in my wait yime. Could not have better things to say about this location!

Today, Max's son, Dr. John Cowan operates the pharmacy. The drug store maintains its historic and independent charm. The pharmacy counter stands as it did 50 years ago, serving customers. The first six prescriptions filled in 1885 hang framed on the wall surrounded by vintage pharmaceutical bottles. The pharmacy provides vaccines as well as fills prescriptions. The store also sells a great selection of Hallmark cards and gifts, local postcards, candy and nuts. While the photo shop within the drugstore closed years ago, a collection of vintage cameras is displayed on shelves. The Cubbard is a popular breakfast and lunch spot in the rear of the store. The food is down home delicious. You see the same friendly faces every visit. Cowan's is an amazing locally owned business and worth a visit. There is free street parking.

Anyway, Eagle Highland Pharmacy, known to me online as Ostomy Care Supply, was very helpful getting me set up, letting me know what they needed to process the claim and what that process was. I try not to cut it close, but the shipments do come fairly quickly so that wouldn't be a problem, and the claims have gone through fine. If I lived close, I would try them out as my local pharmacy.

I've talked with my attorney this morning and he explained the difference between defamation and "an opinion given in a review ". When you called Discover to dispute your claim - AFTER I had already left you three messages trying to find a resolution - I had to document the situation and send it to Discover. The formal response is at the pharmacy but I will send you the rough copy of what my response was. I also have employees to back up my side of the messages that I left for you - no screaming was involved - ever. Maybe you heard frustration because I was truly trying to come up with a plan to help and you wanted no part of a conversation. Also - remember that you also hung up on me when we did touch base about the charge back. The easiest solution is to just remove your comments. IF you'd like to modify them to an opinion instead of defamation... your choice but I will register with Yelp and counter the opinion with details. I'm putting this in a text so there is no miscommunication and you have my phone number if needed . My attorney asked why this was posted 2/19/26 when the situation took place 6/16/25 and I don't know the answer to that.
