I placed a delivery order at 12:30 and paid the extra money to have my order delivered in one hour. When I looked up my order at 2 PM they still have not delivered it yet. So when I made a phone call to Myers, they told me my order would not be delivered by 3 PM. Then I get an email from script the company that they use for delivering their food order and they said sorry your order will not get to you until 4 PM. Then I asked to cancel my order because I will go to Kroger's. They said my money would not be returned to my account and I would have to wait 3 to 5 days. This is not how we do business this was not my fault. I will no longer order from Myers, and I will also tell anyone who asked not to get food delivered from them as well. I will suggest going to Kroger's. read more

Meijer's is a fixture in Michigan. It has never been the nicest looking store or had the best merchandise but that's not what they trade on. The are about convenience. I come here often for groceries. If there is something they do well, it's their groceries. Good selection, decent prices, and always open. The best I can do is list what they do well and what they don't. Do Well: 1 - Hours: They are 24-hour. Can't do better than that. 2 - Groceries: Good selections and well kept. 3 - Registers: While in peak times, the lines can get long, they are usually good about keeping enough registers open. Do Not: 1 - Staff can run from very helpful, to not terribly helpful. Not rude but uninformed sometimes. 2 - Store can be disorganized. It is a huge place, so it would be very hard to keep it perfectly organized all the time, but sometime it seems as if they just don't put disorganized shelves back how they should go. 3 - Not a place with high-end things. Always has had the feel of a place with mid to low end bargain merch. In the end, I go here often for bottle returns and groceries. If I need a press-board bookshelf, or cheap folding chairs, this is a place for that. Great for emergencies, especially at 2am. But will never be a Target. But it IS much better than Wal-Mart. This particular Meijer's always has a well organized and neat clothing department. They and that carry some really nice children's clothing! Isles are well stocked and staff is helpful. One thing, keep a better eye on meat expiration dates in the meat section and the pre packaged deli meat areas! read more

I have been shopping here for years and years. It is a pretty good location. I come here for literally everything, as they sell almost everything. I do like that their website now will indicate which location has the product I am looking for, it does get pretty tricky nowadays when there are so many product delays. Often I have found what I was looking for here compared to some of the other local grocery stores, like a specific coffee creamer, or Mickey Mouse ice cream novelties. They are pretty nice here, they have always come through when I need something as far as answering questions or going out of their way to look for products, even if it turns out there are not currently in stock. This location has gone through many renovations. I do like their current set-up, and I like their current self checkout line, which sort of resembles Walmart. They prices are pretty good here too. I really love their sales and discounts. I find a lot of presents here at a deep discount and great discounted shoes, especially Totes or Sketchers. This is a great place for Halloween finds as well. read more

Been going here since the 90s - therefore, I know this place *used* to be geared towards the working class. Their low-sodium options are hit or miss (been asking for months if they will consider low sodium ramen - and they still just have 10 different salt bombs). Lately, their self scanners aren't registering sale prices. Those are things I can deal with... my issue is that they're still raising prices, even though the pandemic has been over for months. Maybe they're trying to pay their employees more, but I get literal anxiety every time I walk in now: "Did they raise prices again?" They have the money to stock DKNY, yet raised the price on cotton rounds by $0.50 in August 2023?? Friggin cotton rounds?? Plus, they're leaning more towards bulk sales now. Like... "buy five 8ct soaps, get $5 off!" If I wanted to buy in bulk, I'd go to Costco! As a single woman, I can't afford 40 bars of soap right now! Like I said, I've been going here since the 90s. Sooooooo I *know* that if something was labeled "2 for $4" then I *used* to be able to get just one for $2. Idk where I'm gonna shop now. I trusted Meijer. OK I used to love the meijer Pharmacy. They used to be friendly helpful and competent. However lately they seem tobe as useless as a nose on a rock. I will call in a couple of days before a prescription runs out. Occasionally I will be out of refils and they will need to contact my Dr to get more refils approved. In the past year 3 times this has happened and I run out waiting. I call them and no one has bothered to call the Dr. Heck I will call the dr if I have to but dont tell me you are going to do it and make me go several days without my meds because you are too lazy and incompitent to do your damn job. To all out there I would recomend another pharmacy, CVS, Wallgreens Kroger, Walmart or any other just avoid this one like the plague. I used to LOVE Meijer. I shopped there for years and years, and even "trained" my mother how to deal with what used to be known as "thrifty acres". Now, however, I am disappointed and frustrated every time I go to this store. The shelves always have empty spots, the workers are always blocking the shelves when they are refilling, their prices are no longer very good, and they are always out of stuff. Once upon a time, they had a loyalty program with a card, but now, it seems that it can only be done with a smartphone -- which I don't have. Then again, I'm no longer loyal to Meijer, so maybe that's as it should be. It's sad, because Meijer is originally a Michigan chain. But I am now MUCH happier with Kroger. Honestly, I only come to this store because it is so convenient to where I live. read more

I've yet to see any alcohol, toilet paper, wipes, disinfectant, masks, gloves at all since this all began. Delivery takes forever. Pick up takes forever, and if you go inside you'll find maskless people all over the place. I counted 35 people without masks this past Thursday. This store really bums me out. I have been a loyal customer of the company for over 30 years and to this specific store for 10+ years now. The deli is always understaffed at peak times and the produce department is almost always in rough shape during the day and evening. I have had to tell employees and management that they had a large amount of rotten and or molded produce out on the floor on several occasions. They just seem to not care very much. The managers always appologize and say they will do better and then i am there later the same week and the whole section of romaine lettuce is rotten. It gets really old after a while. Why does nobody care enough to walk the floor actually look at the quality of what you are offering your customers? Every time i go to Kroger in the area it is spotless and the quality is on point. Why is Meijer not capable of doing the same? Management needs to do a better job of training employees and scheduling employees. read more

The sale started last Sunday at 6 a.m. I went to the store about 9 a.m. and the item I wanted was not on the shelf. I went back today and they still didn't have it. This used to be my go-to store, but I haven't visited it since June. In June I noticed staff weren't wearing masks, even though the store said they were. Since masks are supposed to be mandatory now I decided to hit it up again. Masks are still completely optional. There are signs saying you need to wear them but absolutely zero enforcement. Wearing a mask is a basic health precaution right now and the lack of them is the same as deli workers not washing their hands after using the bathroom- heck, the latter is probably less dangerous. A deli worker washing their hands after using the bathroom isn't political and the store requires it. Wearing a mask shouldn't be political and the store should require it. Not wearing a mask doesn't make you cool or edgy, it makes you look like a jerk that doesn't care about others' health. Your mask protects me, mine protects you. I have two conditions that make it difficult to breathe - wearing a mask does not exacerbate that. Catching covid would. Jerks who have a total disregard for others can continue shopping here. Until this store shows it values a very basic level of safety I will not be shopping there. Which is a shame because the store is quite good....but this is like finding out employees don't wash their hands after using the toilet. read more

Green haired Sarah C promptly waited on me. When I told her I had a Good RX coupon, she told me to sit down and she would have to "re-process everything." She then waited on numerous drive thru customers and in house customers PURPOSELY making me wait. After 20 minutes, I went back up and she could ring me right up. What a joke - NYE, 24 lanes not including the Uscan and there are 8 open! The lines for each of those 8 cashiers go well back into the clothing section! This is every holiday and every busy shopping day here. No management to be found and the cashiers are working like snails! Maybe go to Aldis or Costco or even Kroger for that matter and WATCH how it is done! I hate this place more and more! I am sure the Meijer family is sitting on their piles of money laughing as they pay their employees crap and treat them the same! The produce is not good. Every time I go here the produce looks rotten. The packaged food is always stocked. Sometimes it is crowded and hard to get around. Never have enough cashiers. You have to wait a long time. The restroom is disgusting. read more

I do like the deals at Meijer and the mPerks has really saved us a lot of money. However, the produce at this location is never very good. We can get fruit and it will go bad fairly quickly. It's not the way we store it, as we can get fruit from other stores or from the farmers market and it lasts much longer. I do like that Meijer has started carrying Halo Top (low carb ice cream) - and they have recently added more flavors - woo hoo! It's nice that this store has almost anything we need in one place - a decent hardware department, lots of clothing options, etc. The location is very convenient for us as well. I just wish they had better produce. Also, checking out can be a real pain as there are usually two or three registers open (along with self-checkout). read more

The stock people and cashiers were so nice in this particular Meijer. No lines. I thanked every last person who worked there I came within 6 foot of. Very well stocked too. I've never had such a great experience in Meijer before. I honestly have not been to this one in years because its 30 min from my house & I have 2 others within 15 min that I now refuse to go to because they are usually bad. This one was worth the drive. Everyone from stock people working their butts off to the 2 friendly cashiers 1 was Dylan, went above and beyond to help me find Sunflower Seeds, lol. so i feel like a shame award should be given to these big stores that didn't limit staples like toilet tissue etc back when the hoarders first did a run on this store. Shame that they put profit ahead of necessity . its about time a limit was put in place. my senior neighbor needed groceries so i used my delivery service four days ago . i didn't receive it in my order and there was no explanation and no back orderand they still do not have bath tissue. i gave her four of my 24 dbl roll that was half empty . it didn't occur to me that hoarding tissue was a thing. if you have a family of 4 calculate your use and buy accordingly. seniors have health issues you should be thankful you are not saddled with. and Meijer as one of our primary retailers (Kroger, Costco, BJ's etc) and providers should behave responsibly and place limits. I know there are limits in place for soda so why would you not have them in place for staples. if i as a consumer place an order with a service i pay for.....and you are out of an item you should have an option to delay my order to be part of a delivery on the next shipment. communication really isnt difficult read more

A lot of nice employees, meijer also has a line of organic items, good return policy, and people that will help you find whatever you need... Still there is a lot they need to work on though. The Uscans on one side of the store are often closed, so you need to wait in a LONG line to check out. They really need to work on is customer safety! People with bridge cards coming up asking shoppers if they can buy their food with the card and receive cash in return (since bridge card doesn't cover smokes or booze) you also have to dodge mini dumpsters throughout the store, and push them out of the way from the food on the shelf you need, and despite the fact that there is trash cans and bins EVERYWHERE you will still find wrappers and cups and other rubbish scattered throughout the shelves. Their fish area is also pretty sad! poor fish almost always have dirty tanks, dead fish floating around, you can almost alway find some fish sick with the illness called ick, fin rot or rotting scales. they seriously need to shut down the fish area. there is also usually spills on the floor next to it, so theres always a wet floor sign in that area... read more

My former favorite Meijer. I'm pretty sure this Meijer is technically in Commerce, but oh well. It's a Meijer. Everything you could ever really want under one roof. The strip mall parking lot has a GameStop, Cold Stone Creamery and a 24 hour coney type diner. So when you're done with riding a bike down the aisles or throwing footballs with your high school friends, you can go get some grub. read more

Meijer used to be my grocery of choice but it's declined so much lately. Ad items are always out of stock, the people working the floor are not friendly and all the prices have gone up a lot. If you know there is a sale on a certain item, stock enough so people can come Tuesday and there still be some available. That's so frustrating. Their fruit and veggie prices have also gone up alot, with the quality remaining the same or less so. Plus when you finally get ready to check out there's at least a 10-15 minute wait. I refuse to do self checkouts. They take needed jobs away from people in Michigan, plus I get no discount for "working". They need to hire more cashiers and train them better. Grocery shopping should not be such a hassle from beginning to end. read more

This location happens to be very near my home, so we end up here more than I would like. While not a total hole, this location lacks enthusiastic staff or attention to detail. The cons: The store is frequently dirty. They often choose to stock shelves during busy hours making aisles into obstacle courses. The floral department is a nightmare. I have seen entire tables of flowers completely dead and neglected. when I inquired, I was told they rely on the nurseries no questions buyback policy and that it is easier to ignore the plants than to bother maintaining them. Long, long lines. Even on weekdays I have had to endure waits of up to thirty minutes (no joke) to check out. Filthy, neglected recycling area. This room is always smelly, sticky, and wet. The can and bottle returns fill up quickly on a busy day and are not emptied unless one calls the desk. (even then they take their time) Machines frequently fail to accept brands purchased at the location. Most of the issues above seem due to lack of adequate staff and/or disengaged employees. The pros: The produce department is decent and has good turnover. I would like to see fewer items from the extremist Bolthouse farms, but generally things are fresh and maintained. That said, they did not have pearl onions nor brussels sprouts at Thanksgiving, which I find unforgivable. The housewares and hardware areas are well stocked and maintained. In fact, much of the non-grocery merchandise is well cared for. read more

I admit I've never been a big fan of Meijer. I lived near one in Canton and it was a filthy nightmare of a store. My wife, who is originally from Waterford, has always praised "The Waterford Meijer" for being clean and well stocked. Today I got the chance to find this out for myself. I went in with a fairly short list of mostly produce and a couple of household items. I knew household items wouldn't be an issue, but as most of us know supermarkets can sometimes be produce hell. Thoughts of rotting cauliflower and black, shriveled avocados ran through my head. I was greeted with a smile when I entered the massive, fluorescent lit store and got myself an oversized shopping cart before heading for the produce. First on the list....strawberries....nowhere to be found! That's ok though. It's winter. Not supposed to be eating strawberries. Next came cauliflower, avocado, broccoli, potatoes, radishes, mache, and a handful of others. All of them seemed to be quite fresh! So far so good. Next I had to pick up a filet of salmon. Fish at a Superstore could be...fishy. It wasn't. Salmon looked fresh and tasty. On my way to check out I stopped by produce to quickly ask if they did have strawberries and was informed that weather in CA and FL was making it hard to get them. Good to know! It's nice that not all big grocers are food black holes. Off to make my mache salad! read more

This is the Meijer closest to my house so I'm always here. They just did a really nice renovation that made the store look better and more organized. I love their grocery section. Although the self-check out lines are always so long and they probably need to hire more people, I do enjoy going here to do my shopping and haven't had a bad experience yet. read more

I like Meijer overall but it seems they are really training us to do self check out (better for their bottom line!) The store was pretty full today and the self check out area was packed. With a full cart, I wasn't going to do self check out. Regular check out had only 3 cashiers and about 4 people in each line - -it took way to long to check out. I prefer supporting Meijer because it's a Michigan business but Walmart consistently has more cashiers to check out quickly. The Meijer store at 23 and 59 hasn't been a problem. The Meijer store at Telegraph and 696 also has few cashiers and long waits !!! read more

I had an awesome cashier today. His name was Kyle L. When I came to his lane on 14 I think, he greeted me and asked me if I found everything alright. He asked me if I had mperks and I said yes and then he started scanning like REALLY REALLY FAST. He was scanning so fast I did not even have time to enter my mperks because I had to keep the bag thing empty for him.(I was struggling to keep it clear because he was absolutely too fast for me). I also heard the customers behind me gasp in amazement. I had to wait until the end to put in mperks because he was scanning super fast. He then gave me my receipt and thanked me for shopping at Meijer. Fucking awesome customer service. Give this kid a raise or promotion. read more

I try to give this store the benefit of the doubt and go in on different days and hours. Hoping it will get better, however, I usually end up hating it more than when I went in. It seems management has given up and just doesn't care. It's one of the few options in the area and they know it and squeak by with mediocrity. To say closing the store might be a good thing for the community might not be far fetched. There's never enough cashiers or carts or operational scooters. Line are into the general merchandise and no one cares. Self checkout seems to be the only option. (Which I want an employee discount for using!) Today's wild adventure was after 7pm on a Monday and I'm apparently not the only one who thought it wouldn't be crowded. (Or, they decided to finally get out finally after an ice storm.). Either way, many families lining up with packed carts and only three (3) cashiers!!! Do I stand in line or do I grudgingly use self-serve? I'm standing in line and roasting. (Personal note: I think Meijer only has heaters above checkouts.). I eventually head towards the self-checkout. Lucky for me it's someone who knows how to use the machines and doesn't take long for my turn. I scan my first item and it freezes. Really?! I hit the assistance button and stand. Side glance over to the little "attendant" stand. Yep, just what I thought...4 attendants standing around having a ball and I'm still standing. At this point, I'm giving evil eye and thinking about just ramming my cart and stomping out of this place. I just want my groceries! Stop pushing me to do Curbside or Shipit and be the store you're supposed to be!!! read more

This meijer seems larger than most. You can usually find everything you need. Prices are great. I happen to find some great work out clothes on clearance! $4 for pants etc! Can't beat those prices! They had a pretty wide selection as well. Their grocery area is huge and I had no problems finding the items I came in for. The have like 20 cashier lanes.. but I think 4 we're open. Lines were packed so I opted for the self check out. Easy to use. read more

Not a fan of this Meijer. The lines are always SUPER long and on the weekends the aisles are so crowded they are difficult to navigate through. Prices on most items are a lot higher than Walmart. I do like the clothing and shoe section of Meijer but its such a pain to shop here that I avoid this store. read more
