When I went to replace the battery, they said your battery still has warranty from Interstate. They gave me a jumpstart so I could drive directly to Interstate for new battery, no charge. You get lied to about prices, they make all there money off "diagnostics testing" and you know when you go somewhere and they ask you, right off the rip, "How much money do you have on you" that the person asking, is trying to get every penny. The service rep understanding their work load and opportunities for faster service, called my cell and asked if bringing it in early would be an option as they had room in their schedule. I, coming from a fast pace auto service industry myself (Penske), appreciate the forethought, jumped at the opportunity and as a result will be a repeat customer. ((( videos included ))) *If you only read one review let it be this one* THE OWNER/MANAGER GRACIE IS A THEIF, SCAMMER, CROOK, MANIPULATIVE AND COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! If you are planning on going to this specific meineke do not, find literally ANYWHERE ELSE to go. My dad has been doing business with meineke his whole life and had had no problems. After what we have experienced with this location alone it has left a sour taste in our mouth about the franchise as a whole. I'll start out with the background story then I'll get to what's going on in the videos. Me and my dad have built a classic 1983 K5 Blazer from rust and it is in pristine condition. The blazer is my everyday vehicle and the original mufflers I had on it needed repair and modifications Whenever we got there the owner Gracie seemed very warm and reassuring and I was happy to be supportive of a female owned business, but things took a turn when we realized she didn't communicate with her mechanic on what we asked and paid for. We had asked for Flo master mufflers with new pipes and dumps in the back, nothing complicated. We had brought in the Flo master mufflers that we wanted because Gracie was going to charge us $350 EACH just for the mufflers when you can get them across the street at orileys or autozone for $100 a piece. She agreed to let us bring them in so me and my dad brought them then went to get food while they were working. When we got back my dad, Gracie and I had walked out to see the progress on one side and they hacked the crap out of my blazer. The welds looked awful, the tailpipes in the back were crooked, there were no dumps or new pipes. My dad and I raised concern and Gracie tried to flip it around on the mechanic when it was HER fault for not communicating with him. She got defensive and was trying to raise the price on the work they were doing. For removal and replacement she charged $100 per side which was fine but then later she said then it's $25 for each hanger and $50 for each weld, just jacking up the price. Removal and replacement should include the welds and the hangers... are you gonna just wish the dang mufflers up there? No, you weld and hang them up there. When we got into the first altercation with her she kept trying to get us to talk to the mechanic but we were upset with her not him, and she flat out walked out of the shop in the middle of us talking which was extremely rude. I didn't get this part on video but I wish I did. When we left I asked my dad if he looked at the reviews on this place and he said "no it's a meineke, service is never like this" and when I looked at the reviews and how awful they were I was so upset that I brought such a sentimental vehicle there. Me and my dad have been working on this Blazer together for years and it holds such a big place in my heart. Yelp only lets me put 12 second videos so I cut to some rather important plot points. FIRST VIDEO When we got back they had completed the job but when we had walked in she gave us a awful attitude and a petty "do you see the difference in these 2 mufflers" attempting to raise the price more. VIDEO 2 We were taking a look at the hack job that was done on my vehicle seeing that it needed new pipes regardless, like we had told her. She was very childish and petty during this conversation VIDEO 3 This video was taken before video 2. She stood there staring at my dad asking if it was fine and it DID NOT look "fine". The welding looked awful, crooked pipes, no new piping, no dumps, no fitment at all and it just looked cheaply done... not $400 worth of work at all! *we had them left and came back a few days later to get it redone* VIDEO 4 We had already paid $400 for her to do the job right this time and when we get there the first thing she says is "I'm gonna give you a check for $200" AND REFUSED TO DO THE WORK. First of all we brought in the mufflers all they did was weld them on really bad, and she wouldn't budge on the price so we finally took the $200 just to be done with this haggish lady even though she straight up stole $200 from us. We had a signed agreement to do everything on the paper on Wednesday for $400 and she gave us back half and didn't touch it when we came back in. VIDEO 5 Me calling her out for theft!! She knew she was stealing our money. We bought the mufflers at orileys and brought them in. All they did was weld it up there. No dumps, no new pipes, bad welds, and awful fitment in the placement of the mufflers. We paid $400 up front the other day and talked about a plan and she told us she wouldn't do it and only gave us half back... we got robbed. I am very displeased with the character of this lady and will tell everyone who needs any mechanical work done on a vehicle NOT to go here because of the unprofessionalism, theft and low quality work that is performed here. read more

I had my car serviced at Meineke in Conroe. Gracy is the Owner and manager of the service center. I called Gracy for a quote for a set of struts for my 2009 Honda Accord. Super Nice and Friendly she quoted me a very fair price for the parts and labour and I set up an appointment for the next day. I dropped off the car that morning and it was finished as promised after right after lunch. Both Gracy and the Service Technician were very knowledgeable and courteous. The shop is small and not fancy but the work they do is excellent, and you have a good feeling about the work they do which I can't say for every shop or Dealership in the area. While having the car there they found another issue and fixed it without any charge. She called me this morning and when I said I was going to be late she told me to take my time. I arrived 10 minutes late and they got right to work. I would like to say I rarely post a review online. However I must warn others. Gracie the owner was asked to look at my 2017 Chevy Trax. They determined the part could not be located new and asked if we could pick up the part needed from a salvage yard. My husband picks up the part south of Houston and takes it to the shop to be put on the car. Not even an hour later we are told it's cracked and we need to go pick up a different one. My husband again goes to south of Houston to pick up the part and gets another one. Guess what cracked again. So back to return it and tells me she will find another ar a different salvage yard. When he gets there 3rd part also cracked. So we got a new one online for the car. They installed it and said it was fixed. The check engine light came on right after we left. I even saw the mechanic who asked about it. Less than 4 months later go to a closer mechanic who says there's an exhaust leak right by the turbo which was just replaced. Called this morning to talk to them since this was literally just "repaired" by them. The mechanic says there will be a leak since you bought an after market part. WHAT?! My response we were never told there would be an issue when we picked it up. Asked if there's a warranty. Yes I can have the owner call. Owner Gracie says no warranty on salvage or after market parts and it's on the back of your receipt. So long story is now we get to pay AGAIN to fix what was NOT fixed right the first time. I have spoken to other mechanics who have indicated there would not be an exhaust leak in the same place where it was just "repaired" unless it was not fixed right the first time. Do NOT assume the owner will make things right! She won't! Do NOT assume if they say your car is fixed it is done correctly either. This place was awesome! My car broke down late the night before and I was stranded till the morning so I slept in my car. At 7:30 I walked down to the shop and met Gracy. After sharing her coffee with me, she drove me to my car to look at the battery. Long story short, Gracy and Keith got me back on the road with a new battery within an hour. The manager, Gracy, is a crook. Take your vehicle anywhere else. She repeatedly increased the price of repairs over the phone to a completely unreasonable amount, thousands of dollars over her initial total for the same amount of work. We finally told her to stop all work on the vehicle, we'd pay her for everything up to that point, but that we were going to tow the vehicle home. We knew it would cost more in the long run to pay her for incomplete work and then to get it fixed elsewhere but we did not want to have anything to do with this lady anymore. She told us "that's not how she does business" and for my husband to "work more" so he could pay her an amount that we NEVER agreed upon and that we could not have the vehicle back until it was done and she was paid. We ended up having to get the police dept and constables involved. The most shocking part was the officers AND tow truck driver said this happens ALL THE TIME with Gracy and they have no idea how she's still in business. After we got the vehicle back, we discovered she started multiple minor repairs that were not necessary and that we never were contacted about nor did we consent to and that she also was going to charge us top dollar for a brand new transmission when it was actually old and used. read more

Simply stay away. I have never left a bad review for a company, but this place has burned a memory that will last a lifetime. If I could afford it, I'd rent a billboard above this shop and leave the review there. I came into this shop looking for an alignment. The manager, Gracie, was running the front desk and gave me the price - which I though was fairly reasonable (around $100). I waited 15-20 minutes and my car was on the rack. While I'm in the lobby / customer waiting area I notice there is a poster on the wall that says there is a "supplies fee" for any vehicle that service is provided for. The amount is scribbled out with a marker and $50 is hand written in its place. I thought, surely not - they're not going to add that to my alignment fee, right? A few minutes later I see the mechanic chatting with Gracie. Gracie comes in and informs me that the camber is out of alignment and requires adjustment but it will cost an additional $50. I said," isn't that part of an alignment, why does it cost more?" She immediately responded very loudly, "BECAUSE IT'S MORE WORK". Of course I fell right into this and was embarrassed and agreed to the fee. As I sat there I considered telling them to stop the work, taking my car and then leaving. Then I thought, if they're willing to pull this game, they're definitely willing to pull another. So, I bit my tongue and already feeling bitter I just wanted out of there. The work was completed and I met Gracie at the register to pay. I paid the fees and she gave me the before and after alignment report. As a mechanic myself, who was there because I don't own an alignment machine, it was pretty easy to read the report showing that the camber was never out and no adjustments were made. On the receipt, instead of a fee for adjusting the camber it showed a line item for a "shop fee". This is a scam. Meineke corporate, I'm calling you out. The Meineke name has been tarnished by this place. It's clear that this shop is scamming and manipulating your / their customers. When you don't have a system in place to ensure that minimum customer service standards are met and to address exceptionally bad franchise locations, the result is a location like this. I took my car in to fix my ac, as soon as i arrived she said she could fix it for $250 i said cool that's great, i was waiting for about 2 hours meanwhile she was explaining to me about how they have to do a diagnosis on the car which cost $150 remind she said 150 only for the diagnosis, after the diagnosis she said one of my car parts was bad and it was going to be $300 me and my boyfriend decided we were going to go look at a junkyard instead. Later she said we still had to pay the $250 for the "diagnosis and because she put free air" which my car was still the same nobody worked on it my car was the same. i told her i was not going to pay her for $250 for not fixing my ac, i talked to the mechanic and he didn't even know what to say because he not once picked up a tool and worked on my car, she was so mad about it she put my car in the air so i wouldn't take it meanwhile she had my keys so she's very stupid .later called the police and i insisted on paying her $150 for the diagnosis she tried to flip it on us and we ended up paying the $250, she's a narcissist it and a theif and you will go to hell you old bitch read more

I took my jeep in, the vehicle was in pretty bad shape, but Gracie and her staff took care of me. Please be nice to Gracie she will do everything in her power to help you. I would pay cash if you can cc machine was outdated but Gracie assured me she has updated the system. Honestly my vehicle runs better than expected, she tends to underquote but the price was slightly lower than most providers, and she helped me finance the bill. Finding good mechanics that wont screw u over is hard to come by, but gracy is the best! I will not take my car anywhere else, and everyone in my family wont either. The second time i went there, i was taking my moms car cause it was having brake problems, i was already quoted 675. Bucks elsewhere but when i took it to gracy they told me that my moms car was too new to be having those problems so they took the time to look up any possible recalls and sure enough it was a recall. I took it to mazda and they took care of it. So bottom line is that they are so honest and do great work. Ive had to get a new motor in my xterra cause it was running on its last leg and its been perfect every since. I would strongly suggest you read all the reviews before making a decision to go here. The work this shop did for me over Christmas break to find a squeak coming from the car was mis-diagnosed and ended up costing me 4 days of my vacation running back and forth to their shop and $2,000 to remedy. It was finally diagnosed correctly once the car was lifted up on the rack on day 4. In 4 days though, looking for that squeak, I ended up paying for new brakes front and back, a new wheel bearing, a stripped CV nut they destroyed, and a new complete driveshaft. They seemed to be simply changing parts at my expense, until they fixed the squeak. If you choose to support this local business, I'd strongly suggest you ask the owner, Gracie, to provide you a specific written firm quote with her signature on it, to complete all repairs needed to completely fix the specific problem you are having. This will protect you ... some. Gracie is also totally disrespectful to if you like that kind of thing. . Do not pay until you know for sure the problem has been fully corrected. And ... the Meineke customer service from "corporate" Meineke is a joke. They don't want anything to do with this shop. If you write or call, they will not return messages. I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Grace for her excellent customer service and her wonderful mechanic. I am trying to help my 86 year old Dad sell his vehicle since he can no longer drive. Just before taking it to sell, I realized we did not take off the lift cable that runs underneath the vehicle for my Dad's wheel chair loft. I called 2 mechanic shops before I found Ms. Grace, which both told me they did not know what that was and so they could not help me. Ms. Grace said come on over and we will figure it out! I came into this shop about a year ago on a Saturday for a 4 wheel alignment. The manager, Gracie, gave me a price of $75 which is in line with other car care centers are charging for 4 wheel alignment. They worked on my car for about 30 minutes before telling me that the left rear adjustment bolt is froze up and would need to be replaced for them to get a good alignment and it was a dealer item and the dealer parts department was closed. They told me they did adjust the other three wheels, but If I were to get a new bolt, and bring the car back and pay them for another alignment, they would install it and align the wheels. The new tires on the car were a 40,000 mile tire and while I drive 33,000 miles a year, I made a decision to keep the tires rotated (free rotation) a little more often than normal and I would get a new bolt for my next alignment. Well, I put about 35,000 miles on my tires and purchased a new set. It is now time to get the new bolt (all auto supplies have them in stock as it turns out, so I got two bolts) and get a 4 wheel alignment. I called first and a man gave me an estimate of about $80 (so price went up a little, no big deal), but when I arrived, I was told that because I want the camber adjusted (replacing the bolts) the price would be $275.00 (quite a difference) and I questioned why the difference of $200 between turning the bolt and replacing the bolt with the one I brought in and was told because it is a lot more adjustment and takes more time! I used to do my own mechanic work and this did not make sense to me, but decided I may not know all I think I know and reluctantly agreed to allow them to perform the alignment. I sat in the lobby and watched them work on my car. To my astonishment, the mechanic replaced the FRONT BOLTS (remember, they told me the left rear bolt was bad before) so I thought maybe they were replacing the front with new bolts and would replace the rear bolt that was froze up with the better of the ones they removed from the front. No, that did not happen either. Then I thought, if they're willing to pull this game, they're definitely willing to pull another. So, I bit my tongue and already feeling bitter I just wanted out of there. The work was completed and I met Gracie at the register to pay. I paid the $275 and she gave me a receipt, there was no before and after alignment report. Meineke corporate, I'm calling you out as did another over alignment issue. The Meineke name has been tarnished by this place. It's clear that this shop is scamming and manipulating your / their customers. When you have a franchise location ripping off customers, it is clear you also don't care. Since I had the work done, I have found many local car service shops (national franchised) that not only charge an average of $80 for a 4 wheel alignment, Firestone offers a 12,000 mile warranty for that amount and for $199 will re-align every 7,000 miles, or as you may need for as long as you own your car. If you have any system in place, it is clearly not being enforced. read more

The shop provides shoddy work (I had a muffler installed two years ago); I had to have someone else replace it. Also promised chrome muffler tips as part of a package price, but they were mis-ordered (too large). The woman owner said she would re-order and call when it came in. At this point I didn't know the exhaust was mis-installed, so I call back (she doesn't call) and she says she has them. I come in and the price is changed (full price + install). When I remind her she ordered the wrong size and our package price, she gets rude ("this is my price - take or leave it"). Total jerk; avoid this place - not only does the manager openly lie, she doesn't hire anyone with any skills because they won't put up with her. In August of 2014 my daughters car needed front brakes, ball joints, CV axles, and 2 belts. My wife went to see Gracy on a recommendation from a mechanic at a oil change place. Gracy seems very nice and uses all the sales gimmicks to convince you to let her work on your car. I priced the parts to repair my daughters car and it came to $300 - $400 dollars. I figured another $300 for labor, plus tax, no more than $800. WRONG! Parts $781, Shop supplies $60, Labor $500, Total $1400. Being new to the area and not knowing where else to take it I had her do the work. When I picked up the car I tried to reason with her about her pricing. She gets parts for less than retail but thinks its OK to charge over twice the retail price. The brakes, ball joints, and CV axles all involve taking the front wheel assembly apart. The axles take 5 minutes to remove from the transmission and pop the new one in. Her reasoning was that each individual job has a standard labor charge. I could have done this work in my driveway in less than 3 hrs so I know her mechanic did it in less than 2 for $500. Chapter 2 One of the belts installed at Gracy's shop started to shred and was making noise. I went back to Meineke to get the belt replaced since it is under warranty for 1 year. Gracy said she would be glad to warranty repair the belt, all I had to pay was $122 labor. She explained to me that the labor is only guaranteed for 90 days so any labor to fix any warranty item after 90 days must be paid. Beware. Do not get suckered by the smooth talking Gracy. read more

If you have car issues I highly recommend this place, I called before I went in. Worried about a wait and price.... NICEST woman at the front!! Got me right in. The mechanic was extremely nice as well to a video and showed me exactly what was wrong... took less than thirty mins to fix and less than $100!!!! Good auto repair shop still exist.
