I had my wife's car towed here to replace a tire. They called me after the tow truck driver had dropped it off and they had a chance to take a look. The tire needed replaced, which he was able to do the same day and I appreciated. he quoted me $416 which included tax and labor. I agree. Later in the day, my wife went to go pick it up and pay the bill, at which point he told her it was $516, and even told my wife that he told me it was $516, which was a lie. This was a bait and switch, and they knew my wife would obviously need her car and therefore would pay the $516. Highly unscrupulous business practice. Great auto care center. The staff is AMAZING! Chris, especially. I unfortunately had a mishap with one of their products and the way they handled it was awesome. Let me state, my mishap had NOTHING to do with their workmanship. When I had called to report what happened, the FIRST thing that Chris asked was if I was ok. That meant so much to me. The scheduling and customer service are definitely lacking. I took my car in for an alignment and I was late for the appointment so the owner told me I would have to set up another appointment because he had someone coming in 40 minutes and the alignment takes an hour. So I did set an appointment for 2:30. That was his next opening, I arrived back at 2:00 and the service writer was waiting on a lady ahead of me and set the customer up for an alignment. So, I waited for 1 1/2 hours and then was told that they had to do other work on the previous customer's car. Very pleasant front desk experience. I had called and he said to come in immediately and they would get right on my oil change. They did- about 45 minutes. They also replaced two air filters that I knew would need replacing. Some leaves got into the ductwork when they pulled the filters-- and they took extra time to get them all out, even staying late to do so. I was very satisfied. They honored an online coupon with no complaint. This is not the cheapest oil change I could have gotten but for the small premium. BLUF; complete maintenance negligence almost led to engine seizure Brought my car here on Saturday 16 April 2022. I made an appointment two days prior, over the phone, for 0900 Saturday morning. I showed up at 0855 and the gentleman at the front desk took my info and got me into the system. He was very friendly and was the only positive experience from this entire ordeal. My car wasn't taken back until 1005. Over an hour to get my car in to start work when I had a hard scheduled appointment... When I addressed the fact that there is no point in making an appointment if walk ins go first, the other gentleman at the desk said "we double book our appointments online so you have to call to avoid from that" to which the friendly gentleman said "he did that..." He then apologized to me. Anyways.. least of my problems... I finally got the oil changed and went home to drop my Kia K5 off and take the jeep out. The following morning (Sunday Easter morning) we pulled out of the garage in the K5 and I thought there was a massive puddle under the car from water or something.. come to find out it was a giant puddle of oil. I parked the car in the drive way and we took the jeep since it already made us late. Came back home and there was now a large puddle of oil on the driveway under the car. I put the car up on my ramps and not only were 3 of the 7 panel fasteners not fully screwed in and just hanging out but oil was everywhere.. I took all the panels totally off and found that the drain plug bolt was literally HANGING on by less than 2 threads and oil was free flowing from it. How is this a shop that SPECIALIZES in oil changes and they forget to screw in the drain plug? That is literally 1 of 3 steps in an oil change. So not only did I pay $105 for an oil change, but I lost half my oil, and had to do it myself in the end anyways. Had I not checked or simply driven my car this place would have caused for serious damage to my vehicle. I also now have to replace two of the stall mats in my garage as they are ruined from all the oil and the undersjdes are filled with oil. Absolutely unacceptable. Took my car in because the right front side shakes when going over 40 MPH. They found the problem and showed me in detail what the problem was. Showed me the parts that needed replacement. Once they advised what all needed to be done, I was thinking oh great this looks like it going to be very expensive. Nope! It was less than half of what I was thinking. Excellent Customer Service. I went here because my tire was low after each time we filled it up. I thought maybe there was a leak so I went to get the tire checked out. I was told that there was a nail in the tire, but that it could be patched up. 20 minutes later, the guy came back and said that he was wrong, there were 2 nails in there and because of the place one nail was, it was not fixable. He quoted me $635.64 for the two tires in the front since he said I should get 2 (instead of 1) so they were even in size. I went to Discount Tire afterwards for a 2nd opinion and they told me that I was told a lie from Meineke. The nail in my tire was completely fixable. They fixed my tire and it was free. The man who told me these lies was Christian Bustamante, the manager of the Fallbrook location. I will never go here again. read more

I scheduled an inspection on Meineke's website to start driving for Lyft. I showed up early by about 30 minutes, and the gentleman was friendly and responsive. I asked what was needed of me and was told only the inspection form from Lyft. I thought it was too easy. I asked again what else if anything, I needed to provide but was told that was all and it would be about 35 minutes for completion. I stepped away and waited about the time they set. I went in to get my keys, and a different guy with an unpleasant attitude said it would be $65. I said whoa! Nobody said anything about that price. The Lyft app doesn't show a fee for their location. Other places showed as low as $19. They tried to make it seem my fault for not being informed about their rate when they didn't even give a monetary estimate. At that point, the inspection was complete, and I had committed my time and vehicle. They were not upfront, and then they treated me like I wanted an expensive service for free. I let them know I didn't expect it to be free, but they needed to resolve the handling of their business by telling customers upfront about the costs. I asked if they would price match Jiffy Lube, but they declined because the location is not in Fallbrook. I found that Meineke in Temecula had a rate of $29.95, and we settled at that rate. read more

This place is very convenient; however, I had to stop coming here about a year ago, because of one rude employee. If I'm going to spend money for a service, then I want good service and that means good customer service. I don't need my butt kissed but good customer service to me means being respectful. After a little over a year I finally went back. The service was great! The toxic person was no longer there, which is sad in these times; however, there are plenty of good people willing to do a good job and have a job so I think it was for the best. I was a walk in this morning, Les who checked me in was super apologetic that there was a bit of a wait (over 2 hrs) because they had a few appointments in front of me. I was ok with the wait since I needed an oil changed. I went next door for a while and came back with a new part and asked the Tech to just toss it in the window for me to install later. He installed it with out asking, for free of course. They finished my truck after about 45 mins (the appts they had didnt show so I was in and out no problem, gotta love hang overs). I understand that no business is perfect. It's not realistic to be on your game 100% of the time. Perhaps things normally operate at a higher standard at Meineke, but I have to be honest about my experience. I brought my car in for the oil change special. The service person I dealt with was surprisingly rude, boldly pushy and patronizing. He talked to me like I was stupid and was impatient with reasonable and appropriate questions. I was relieved that the auto techs inspected my car for other maintenance issues; however, that relief quickly turned to panic when I was presented with a large quote for proposed work. The service person at the counter fed into my fears by exaggerating how urgent some of the issues were. Rather than speaking in technical terms to objectively describe specific issues--so I could actually understand what was going on with my car--he explained how things would fail at any moment and all this chaos would ensue while leaving out useful details. I took my car elsewhere to verify what maintenance I would need. At the other shop, I was treated with respect and they answered every question with thorough detail. They walked me through every aspect of what they would do with my car and what the parts and labor would cost before I had asked any questions. That took place during the first phone call to get a quote for the proposed work. At the actual appointment, they found I only needed a small portion of the proposed maintenance. I checked several times to make sure they were ABSOLUTELY sure I didn't need the other work and they were very clear that I didn't--then thoroughly explained why. I couldn't believe it. At Meineke I felt manipulated and I'm angry about the experience I had, but I understand plenty of people have also had good experiences there. read more
