Just recently I took my car to meineke 2438 limestone parkway Gainesville Georgia 30501. If you don't want issues with your car please don't take it there to get repair. They break things that not broken. The first offense was they found two code on my car. And only fix one and charge me $818.06. And did not fix the other code that they found. In less than 2 days I started having problems with my car. So I took it back to meineke. So they can fix the problem. Based on what the mechanic told me. It was all lies. He told me if I don't fix the problem my car will start overheating. My car never overheat before it never had a problem with the radiation cooling system. But guess what it has a problem now. Because the tampered with something that did that needed to be fixed. And now they charged me more money 1513.80. replace some parts that did not needed to be replaced. And always with that same nonsense oh I apologize and still did not fix the car. If you not there sitting in the shop alone with them to know what they are doing. 2438 Limestone Pkwy, Gainesville, GA 30501 DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE APPROVING WORK!! THEY CHARGE YOU DOUBLE, AND IN SOME CASES, TRIPLE FOR PARTS NEEDED IN YOUR REPAIR. I waited a few days before I wrote this to make sure it's fair. So here it is... I usually do work on my own car but for this occasion, I was sick (non-contagious) and needed to get this fixed to drive. Soni approved the work on replacing the front tie ends on my jeep. Once the repair was done and I received my jeep, i looked closely at the invoice. I noticed the vagueness and how expensive each each part was listed so I called for the specific part numbers and where they purchased it. The invoice listed $103, $132, $290, $424 as the price for each, but after looking up each and where it was ordered, the cost was $38, $44, $99, and $220. I know this is a business and expected about 20 -30% upcharge for parts plus plus a decent labor charge, but this was ridiculous. They charged 150 - 200% for parts. This turned an already expensoce service to really expensive service. I called and talked to the manager, and both said... "You approved the service" and.... "This is how we make money". After talking to other mechanics and shops, this pricing is agreed to be not fair. What I took from this, including talking with the owner,... do your research before approving, or they may surge the prices and write it off as "normal". Customer service at its finest! Yes, that is utter sarcasm. I had used this location for an oil change several months ago and had a pretty shady experience but after receiving a coupon in the mail and seeing under new management signs on the building I thought I would take advantage of the coupon for the oil change and booked an appointment online. I arrived for my appointment and they had no record of the appointment. After 15 minutes of standing there while the associate is trying to "fix something" he finally finds my information. Another associate gets my keys and begins to pull my car around back. I mention to the desk associate I have a coupon. He immediately says we don't honor those at this location. The coupon has the store information all over it, the manager name, address, and store number. I ask why not, and the reply was "we just don't". I tell him to go stop the other associate before the oil change starts and I would be going somewhere else. I hear the "gentleman" utter profanities as he walks to the bay, and my car is brought back around front. Thankfully I mentioned that coupon early on, it wouldn't have been pleasant to finish the service and get oops we don't take those and be forced to pay full price. Can we say bait and switch? Well, that's the second and last time I will step foot in this location. Update: I contacted corporate via phone and had a polite and calm conversation with the agent before Meineke responded to this review. I was told someone would be in touch and received a response that only addressed the coupon and the policy note that coupons could be denied at anytime. This representative did not address the crude behavior or scheduling issues. This representative further reinforced my decision to go elsewhere in the future. read more

Oh boy. First, my appointment was 3:30 and they didn't get to my car till about 4:20. I was only there for an alignment but they couldn't even do that. The old dude had to do it twice cause the first time the wheel wasn't straight. Isn't that the whole point of an alignment?? Second time it was slightly straighter but still not correct. Both times I didn't even get a print out of the before and after as you'd usually get with any alignment. Also had me ride in the car with him like he was proving a point but all he was doing was spreading his germs in my car, no mask or sanitizer. Had to sanitize my car after and take it the dealer to get it properly aligned. Avoid this disastrous place. But at least they're friendly, hence the two stars and not one. read more

This store is under new management and the team is very professional. They have been very helpful and upfront with a written estimate before any work starts. Sure, there are probably cheap places to go, but I want a store I can trust. The new group is honest and upfront about costs and they put in quality parts. I won't go anywhere else. read more

I gave it 1 star because it won't let me give zero. Do not take your car here. We took our Subaru because the AC is going in and out. It's still under warranty. Paid $250 dollars for them to say it's fixed, drove it a day (literally) and the ac started messing up again. They told us to bring it back in and they would contact our warranty company about replacing it. Dropped it off one morning at 8am, heard nothing from them until 4:30 that afternoon when I called and they told me "we ran it for 3 hours and nothing happened", so I asked if they called the warranty company like they said they would to see about replacing it since it is going in and out and not working properly. The guy I spoke to talked over me the entire time we spoke, was incredibly rude and acted like they had never told us to bring the car back in. When I asked if they had called the warranty company like they said they would he said "I would if there was something wrong with it". TERRIBLE customer service. So we paid them $250 for absolutely nothing and we are still left trying to find someone to fix our AC. Such a scam. read more

My muffler needed a new front seal...and one spot on the back needed a piece welded. to patch. My guy was busy so I called and they said swing on by. They said this whole muffler needs to be replaced...because if they take the bolts off they were "so rusted" they would break and then they would have to drill it out. Then they proceeded to show me "holes" and when I scraped the rust...it was metal. All in they quoted me $2000 for a new muffler or $90/hour to fix the other part...not including the weld. I asked them to fix the alignment instead...they said sure.....I went to lunch...came back and they hadn't done it yet...said 40 minutes....I said take it down. I went to my muffler guy...he said....$50 as long as those bolts don't give him any issues.....they were off in 10 minutes and perfect....he even lubed them up...went right back on....then he welded the back part...muffler is like brand new. NOTE: They also pointed out a leak in my axle underneath...the oil looked fresh....fyi..the engine oil has over 4000 miles on it...it would have been black or red if it was transmission. He showed me how he could put his finger in and get oil. I can't prove it yet....I think he might have just put some oil there. read more

The most honest mechanics I've been to in a long time. My brake locked up over a burnt caliper, and not only did they do an exceptional job fixing it, but they also went above and beyond making sure it was safe to drive on a very busy day when most mechanics would've just said they have to go home. On two different occasions they diagnosed the issue with my car almost immediately, they were polite, professional, quick to complete the repairs and I would estimate almost half the cost of similar service centers. Don't go here unless you want to fix things that aren't broken. Took my car here because of a burning smell and an electrical issue on my speedometer, they told me I needed a new transmission. They wanted to charge me $4000 to change the oil and put a new transmission in. Told them no and took my car to someone else, all that was needed was to SERVICE my transmission and now my car is perfect for a grand total of $450. Don't go here. read more

I took my 2003 Honda civic coupe to this place. The reason I took my car to this place was because it was overheating and spraying antifreeze all over under the hood. They they looked at my car, and before they did they said it would be an hour. After three hours we finally get a call. The man then proceeds to tell me that the car was fine and that they ran test proving it was good to go. So after three hours of waiting we finally go to the car care center and I pay $45 because they changed my oil, topped off my coolant, and ran a bunch of temperature test. I get in my car to leave and I start my car and it's vibrating violently. I look at the dash and my check engine light is blinking and I hear rattling and my battery light is on now, and I start to smell burning. I go back in I have the man at the counter come out and look under my hood. I open the hood and there is antifreeze spraying everywhere, and they had literally just checked over the entire car. The man, now shocked and speechless, says Yep that's the head gasket, it needs replaced. He then proceeds to say the average cost of those replacements, our range from $2500-$3000, And my car I paid $2400. So basically I then called another local car care center in Gainesville and they are trustworthy and they said their price is $1500. So now I'm going to L a Automotive where I'll be treated better. Friends Do NOT go to this place!!! I set up app. Online specifically asked for synthetic oil. Get there, 5mins after they take my car in I'm am told by the owner that I need all this stuff fixed & est. repair cost of $250. I said sir I just want an oil change. The man raised his voices & flipped out on me. After having him rant & yell at me for a few moments, I said sir just give me my keys & I'll leave & go somewhere else. Then he gets louder, yells at me more, tells me I can't b/c they already started the oil change. I said fine then he continues to run his mouth saying all kinds of stuff to me & I got so mad I said "fine I'll go out side until the works done. I will not stay in this room with you." I go outside & sit on the curb. He comes out the door & continues to harass me "I've never met a woman like you!" I said like wise. He kept on & on & "I said would you please shut the door & go back inside." At this point I had NO idea this was the new owner... the guy who did my oil change brought me my car & I asked if he would check me out & tried to explain why. The owner rushes out yells something at him. I go inside the owner at this point has not stopped running his mouth. I kept my mouth shout because he was scaring me & I felt threatened. While trying to pay they tell me the price which sounded too good for synthetic. I asked did you put synthetic in, I specifically asked for it in the email when I set up the appointment. He said no, I'm sorry I didn't know that what was called for. The owner starts butting in, says that he doesn't need this I'm going to give him a heart-attack and said fine we'll redo it but it $69.99 I paused bc I've gone to both Walmart & my chevy dealership & both have never charged more than $50. But that's my fault for not checking the price & as I'm standing there thinking of what to do the owner is running his mouth again. I said look I'll go ahead & pay you for what you've done & take my car else where. Then the owner yells give it to her for free & get her out of here I do not need to deal with people like this, etc etc. so I take my keys & leave as I'm heading out he's continually yelling stuff at me, harassing me finally at this point I was over it so I turned around & yelled something back w/a finger jester.... get into my car... He FOLLOWS me out & is yelling ugly things at me me from the door.... WOW this guy is nuts. I should have called the cops. I called the company's customer service & the Better Business Bureau. I took my car to Angle's Automotive down the road because my car has to have synthetic, they did my oil change for less AND they checked my car... found nothing wrong with my oil gasket etc. as Meinike had claimed was broken etc... as suspected they were trying to scam me. read more

While on a trip the AC blender was quit working . The mechanic brought the vehicle right in, found the issue and had us on our way in no time at a reasonable price. I had an oil leak in my Volkswagen and they didn't even offer to look at it. The very talkative manager said it would be $163 just for them to buy the dye and pressure wash material to MAYBE figure out what was wrong. Not very helpful. They could have at least took a look. read more

DON'T set an appointment online we made the appointment on Thursday for a basic oil change a few days later only to find out that there system is down so our appointment meant nothing and we had wasted our time going there. However I gave them three stars because the man working there was very friendly and I understand they can't control the system being down but a notice on the website or some sort of notice to let us know to call instead would have been nice. read more

I called the Meineke location off Limestone parkway in Gainesville GA and had them quote me on a complete brake job with replacing the rotors and he gave me a price for 189.00 each front and rear. Then i told him that i have a 50% off coupon for the pads and shoes, he says that is with the coupon already. BS, but I sent my wife the next day to have them done and he gives her a price of $802.+ she text me to let me know how much it was going to be so I called him right away and asked what was going on and he started making excuses. Then I told him that just brakes had a sale for $99.00 each and he's exact words were good luck they will never do it for that they will get you there and then try and up charge you for every little thing?? Sounds familiar ??? Needless to say we will never be back to a Meineke. Also she said it was the nastiest place she had ever been bugs on the floor trash everywhere and the nastiest bathroom she has ever seen at a mechanic shop.
