I know that…read moreeach Jiffy Lube is an individually-owned franchise, but there really should be a standard of professionalism and service across the board. I've used Jiffy Lube for the better part of 15 years in the DMV, Miami, Boston, and Philadelphia. This is by far the worst experience that I've ever had within one of their establishments. The customer service was appalling, and I operate in a customer service business, so I know the importance of being able to relay information and temper your personal feelings. I initially came there for an oil change and inspection for one car (car-1) as well as an inspection only for the second car (car-2). We decided to do the inspection of the car-2 first and in that process, I was told that my relatively new windshield wipers (purchased 8 months prior) needed to be replaced because "windshield wipers are only good for five months." They informed me that there were two streaks on my window after using the blades. Based off of the state requirements, I asked the employee if the streak was still present after 5 cycles, based on state requirements. He ignored that statement and replied that "Streaks are not safe for the road, and we're going to have to fail your inspection. We do have wiper blades that you can purchase. The cheapest is $19.99 each." I asked if I could bring in wiper blades at the same price but higher quality, and they informed me that they cannot wait for any length of time. If I were to bring in wiper blazes, they would fail the inspection and I could wait at the back of the line to be reconsidered for later today. At that point, I accepted the overcharge and paid my tab of $191 for state inspection. Of course, I did not have car-1 inspected at this place. I believe the $191 cost was a discount because it saved me future money being spent on this establishment. I do not recommend this location to anyone.
