I went in there specifically asking for a wavy perm. I showed them a picture of hair that was very…read morelightly permed, and specified that I did not want any visible curls. Ended up with a full head of curls that was nothing like the picture. Now looking back, it was definitely intentional. Kim (I believe) told the women that was working on my hair to use tight curlers, the women asked "are you sure" and asked Kim if she saw the picture, Kim said she did and to just do it anyway, but that she wanted to cut it. She was very insistent on wanting to cut it since I believe she wanted to experiment on cutting this style of hair. This completely ruined the hair that I was growing out for 6 months. It was nothing like I wanted, and I had to drive to a different barber and cut it off right away. Didn't feel a need to say anything at that moment because the perm was already done and it couldn't be reversed.

I just wanted my roots retouched to my regular light brown color; I ended up going from a light brown to black with barely a hint of brown. I'm going on vacation in three days and I did not want a black hair color which to me is not vacation vibes. On top of me constantly complaining, they told me to come back to do a new color and expected me to pay. They are also very rough and got water in my ear and shirt when they washed my hair. I regret ever come here. My pretty light brown hair is gone, replaced with this sad excuse of a black brown. If I can give this shop a negative, I definitely would.

Her response was to call over the braider and tell the braider that she could keep the difference as her tip. Made no effort to see if anyone else in the salon had change. I always tip, but to decide to keep my money for them not having change was classic. Thankfully Riyah, a good braider who has been there for a while, heard me tell the girl that she didnt get to declde to keep my money. Will have exact amount plus tip if I come back.

The cashier asked us to show her the sale price which we did. She called the supervisor who acknowledged it and called the manager. Instead of honoring the price for us, the customer, The AFRICAN manager attempted to say that the sign was placed their erroneously...so we asked to show us the product that matched the advertisement- to which he claimed was discontinued. So we asked was he going to honor the price for us since we brought it to his attention ... this fool stated that WE or another customer must have put it there... THE SALE SIGN THAT WAS IDENTICAL TO EVERY OTHER SALE SIGN in the store. Needless to say, we left and will never patronize this establishment again. When something like this happens, you satisfy the customer who brought it to your attention and then make adjustments. You don't BLAME the customers for your obvious oversight! We always speak of others mistreating us in our communities, but we do it too!! But not to me, because I will write a review and never visit your establishment again... and that's on God!!
