I immediately liked her as she was a delight, fun and made all five of us (bride, moms and sisters) look gorgeous! Since I am not well versed in hair or makeup, seeing Kristen's work previously and overall vibe made her a shoe-in for my wedding day! I had a vision, I changed my mind, I was unsure, then changed my mind again - Kristen was there the entire way. She also recommended a makeup artist which took a huge weight off my shoulders. During the trial she was able to take a look at my hair, understand my needs and got to work. She is so experienced and made me feel like anything we wanted to achieve was possible. It sure was! She suggested adding extensions to my hair (something I never thought about) and it changed my whole look! On the day of the wedding, she and the makeup artist arrived early, enthusiastic and ready to go! There were five of us getting ready (bride, moms and bridesmaids) and Kristen brought a light-hearted energy to the day which helped put all of us at ease. We all have different hairstyles and hair types and it was no problem. She kept checking to make sure everything was perfect for each of us - and it was. When it was my turn, she showed me the extensions which she dyed PERFECTLY to match my natural summer color. I couldn't believe it. I was so impressed. She is a heaven send!…read more I've found Ngan through one of the FB Wedding groups and after seeing her reviews, Instagram, and website, I reached out to schedule a hair and make up trial. I already knew from the beginning that Ngan was going to be great to work with - she was friendly and personable and it felt like I was having a conversation with an old friend, to be honest. Ngan was not only patient with me through my trial as she listened to my concerns and worked with me who has 0 knowledge about make up, but she provided suggestions and ideas based on my skin tone and likes and dislikes. My mother also did a separate hair trial with Ngan because she had some concerns if she would be able to get her hair in a bun since she had some bald spots she wanted to cover with thin hair and Ngan was able to reassure her and get to work to make her feel good. Coordinating a time and place for both the trial and the actual wedding day was very easy to do. Ngan and her assistant arrived on the morning of wedding in a timely manner and got to work right away. My bridal party looked and felt amazing which was very important to me. My hair and make up looked perfect - Ngan did a fantastic job. Even though we went through a trial already a few months back, she reiterated what we went through, what we agreed on, and asked if there was any changes to the plan. She worked with me and my thinner eyebrows and I have to toot my own horn and say I looked fantastic. Shadow helped me and my mom with our makeup and hair on my wedding day. About 9 months before the big day, I met up with Shadow once and knew right away she's the one I want to hire. She's not only accommodating and super nice, for an indecisive bride like me, her consultation really helped me tackle down what style I want to go for on my big day. Not to mention her price is super reasonable. I listened to Shadow's suggestion, grew out my hair (I had shorter hair when I met up with Shadow) and dyed my hair to a lighter color just before the wedding day (she said it'll make the braiding of hair much more lively and natural looking). The end result, man, I cannot say more, it's just exactly what I pictured myself to look like on the most important day of my life! Shadow changed my hairstyle three times throughout the day and helped me changed into two different outfits. The hair/makeup matched my outfits perfectly.
