My experience with ATI Restoration (SeaTac WA branch) was absolutely abysmal. I would assign them…read morenegative stars if that were an option. After a fire in our house, our insurance company referred us to ATI because it is within their network of general contractors. ATIs project director, Jakob Walker, assessed the project in early December and provided us a bid and work Agreement dated December 7, 2023. The Agreement provided for a start date of December 26, 2023 and substantial completion date of February 26, 2024. Both Mr. Walker and the project manager, Jeremy Polley indicated to us that the project was relatively simple and would be easy to complete in a matter of weeks. By mid-January no work had been started and we sent several emails asking the reason for the delay. Mr. Polley indicated that ATI was still waiting for documentation from the HVAC sub-contractor, however, when we asked the sub if they had provided the necessary documentation, they indicated that they had. Several more weeks went by without any communication from ATI and without any work being performed. On February 1, we received an email from Mr. Walker complaining that we had had direct communications with the HVAC and carpeting subs despite the fact that ATI had invited us to be present when these subs assessed the project and our Agreement did not in any way preclude us from communicating with sub-contractors. The email stated that ATI would not be performing the HVAC or carpeting work but would complete the other aspects of the repairs. Our next communication with ATI came on February 12th when Mr. Walker sent us an email stating that ATI was unilaterally abandoning the project. He provided no explanation or justification other than stating that he had spoken to his regional manager and construction manager. To date, our requests for further information and documentation regarding ATI's decision to unilaterally breach our Agreement have gone unanswered. As a result of ATIs negligence and extreme lack of professionalism, my wife and I will be out of our home for months longer than would have been necessary had we gotten assigned a competent contractor. Anyone considering hiring ATI or getting ATI assigned by their insurance company should immediately request a different contractor.

A DEMOLISHING COMPANY WITH A HEART!…read more I can't say enough good things about Affordable Environmental, the owner Tony Chase, and his work crew. I've been trying off and on to leave a review and finally figured it out. In Spring 2023, Tony was hired to demolish a condemned 1930's farm house on my property that needed to come down. Everything was done on time, responsibly, and by the book, with asbestos abatement included. All for a very competitive price. And then the big twist happened, which really confirmed Tony's stellar reputation: After being told by the asbestos workers that there may be an old log cabin underneath the farm house, Tony took his time and "skinned" the side off, rather than just demolishing everything. He was able to do so because he is very skilled with a track hoe; it was like watching an artist at work! And sure enough, underneath was a solid log cabin structure that our local historical society estimates to be an old logging cabin from circa 1870's. Intact cabins like this are very hard to find and a historic preservationist is currently conducting research to confirm the age and ownership. But Affordable Environmental, aka Tony Chase, didn't stop there. Tony felt very strongly about keeping this historic find safe during the winter so it wouldn't deteriorate. He volunteered the materials and staff time to construct a roof structure, wrap the building in plastic, and install one of his own large dehumidifiers to keep it dry inside. And it's working! Research on this historic logging cabin can continue and perhaps grants can be found to preserve the structure for the long term. Thank you Tony Chase and the AE crew!
