Melinda's Cafe is a treat! The food is always fresh, seasoned perfectly, and absolutely delicious. This visit I had the chicken tortilla soup and a half egg salad sandwich. This place was a very happy accident. My friend and I were visiting Hot Springs Village for vacation and needed a quick breakfast before we headed to Bathhouse Row. The day before we had driven by this gem, and I remembered it that morning. Looked it up on Yelp and it had good reviews, so why not? We walked in and they had a lot of coffee options. I asked for some recommendations, and settled on a caramel, chocolate coffee concoction. It was very tasty. We also ordered some breakfast tacos. Those were also just as tasty. They had other items and drinks that looked great, and wished were there longer to try them. Eventually we got to meet the owner, and just like the rest of his staff, he was friendly. We had a great conversation about Texas and how he use to live in the same area as where we were from. So if you ever find yourself in Hot Springs Village, I would give this place a try. read more

Adorable little cafe with delicious potato bacon soup and chicken tortilla soup. The highlight was the pimento cheese sandwich with bacon jam! A little bit of heaven in your mouth. The cinnamon roll was sold out when we got there, but they make a great iced macchiato with oat milk. Definitely worth the visit if you are near by. We drove 40 minutes, from where we were staying, to get here. It was worth it! read more

Our fav go to! We go so often the staff already knows our order when they see or hear us excellent food and great coffee. They ran out of oat milk one time and made a special trip to get more so we could have coffee before we left. Just extra special touches you won't get anywhere else. Stopped by Melinda's on the way out of town for a quick breakfast and coffee. The place is cute with sofas and comfy chairs and regular dining tables. The coffee was delicious. I had a dirty chai with two shots, my man had a plain drip. The breakfast tacos are legit with good, fresh ingredients and tortillas that appear homemade. I am regretting getting the quiche, which was good, but rather small. I could have had two tacos for the same price and been stuffed! If we find ourselves in Hot Springs Village again, I'd definitely come back for the tacos. Thanks be to my man for letting me have a couple of bites! read more

I had a wonderful corn beef panini, very generous with the meat. So much so I saved 1/2 for dinner. It came with a choice of pasta salad, chips or a fairly large great tasting fruit cup. Melinda's is a little gem of a restaurant on 7 N, about a 1/2,mile before the west gate of the Village. They also have a fine selection of pastries x breakfast items and fancy coffee. We had the most amazing lunch on the patio at Melinda's Coffee Corner and Café. The staff was so friendly and took great care of us from the minute we arrived. Everyone in our party tried a different entree, and EVERYTHING was absolutely great. My husband had a bacon-egg-cheese panini. I had the spinach quiche with a side salad. Some of our other orders were the reuben that they serve with the sauerkraut on the side (so smart!), the broccoli cheddar soup, and a hearty chicken salad. Oh my goodness, the desserts! We all took a little of each one of them so that we could try them all. We had carrot cake (my personal favorite), key lime pie, coconut creme pie, cupcakes, and chocolate pie. We loved them all! I wanted to take one of everything home! You won't regret visiting this precious restaurant in Hot Springs Village. I'm including some pics of the food. So yummy! read more

As one of the only few coffee shops near where I'm staying in Hot Springs, I was very much looking forward to trying this place out. Upon arrival I was even more excited to see that there was a drive-thru so I could get it quickly and continue on with my plans. However, after my 2nd time ringing the service bell and not being answered over the course of about 3-4 minutes, I was feeling MUCH less excited about the experience. To my dismay, once I drove around to the front of the shop, I'd noticed there were, in fact, customers inside the shop, sitting down, enjoying their coffee. Not to mention the fact that there were ONLY the 2 customers that had already been served inside. Maybe pay attention to the drive-thru bell if you're going to have one. read more

My husband and I stopped at Melinda's for brunch while vacationing at a nearby lake. Friendly service and super yummy food! I got the panini club, and it was loaded with ham and turkey. We were staying at a nearby State Park, and decided to try Melinda's based on reviews. We arrived just before 8AM, and found one young lady inside with the door locked. The sign on the door said they opened at 7:30 AM. There were no fresh pastries, and nobody in the kitchen baking anything. The only items for sale were in the case, and were leftover from the day before. We were told the cinnamon rolls were baked fresh daily at 8 AM, however there was nothing fresh anywhere in the store. I would think if you open at 7:30 you would have items ready for your customers. I tried the one leftover cinnamon roll, and found it to be adequate. My wife had a cranberry orange muffin, and said it was grocery store quality. read more
